Hotel Ceiba Tops - Iquitos - Perú

My husband and I went to see upper tops in September. We enjoyed being there so much. We had such a wonderful time! We saw so many different kinds of animals and plant life that we would’ve never seen otherwise! And the staff and food and rooms were just wonderful! Our guide, Adriano, was top notch! He spoke very well in English and in Spanish and make sure that we got to experience different activities that were our style of exploring and pointed out animals and plants we wouldn’t have known to look for. He knew what most things were, and could identify them in their scientific name as well as their standard name. And if he didn’t know, he would definitely find out for us. He ensured that he greeted us at every meal and would make plans with us to do excursions throughout the day or evenings. Adriano also made sure that when I had a food allergy to one of our meals that I was accommodated for. We felt he went above and beyond for us during our stay. I would highly recommend Adriano and I would highly recommend going to Ceiba Tops!

Ceiba Tops Lodge was an AMAZING experience! It is nestled within the Amazon and provides plenty of opportunities to experience nature in an unforgettable manner. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning units; this helps offset the hot & humid conditions. We ate some fresh fish that was exceptionally tasteful. Our guide, Armando Del Aguila Del Aguila was incredible! He was very knowledgeable, attentive to our needs, and added to our awesome experience. If you are looking for a lodge to stay with the Amazon in Peru, you have found a diamond!

😊: It is in a unique location, right next to the Amazon River. Many activities are included such as fishing and visiting a local tribe. Our personal guide was great and flexible to our needs. The meals were also great with breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Many animals and wildlife can be seen during your stay. 😢: There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. Our shampoo and hand towels were not re-stocked when our room was serviced..

😊: The room we stayed was pretty clean, air-conditioned and spacious, and the staff cleaned the room after we left for the tour. We took up 3 days 2 nights package. The activities were fully organised with a local tour guide. The tour guide is very helpful and friendly.. 😢: The meals provided were limited choices. The chicken noodle soup was the only yummy dish..

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Ceiba Tops Lodge. The lodge is beautifully situated, and there are so many interesting things to do while you are staying there. I want to highly recommend our guide, Willy, who was absolutely fantastic. He made our trip very special. I highly recommend him for any travelers staying at the lodge. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, including the flora and fauna. He was kind and attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better guide.

Location, location and location. This is a great lodge considering it’s in the Amazon jungle, next to the Amazon river and all the rooms have air conditioning and hot water. I can’t imagine how much more challenging it’s for modern folks to visit this amazing Amazon without this lodge. Imagine sleeping in a tent in the hot and wet jungle, with bugs, snakes and other animals all around you. Limited clean water and hot cooked food. I agreed some of the packaged tours are too commercial and “set up”. But overall very comfortable and enjoyable. For goodness sakes, we have electric and WiFi in the middle of the Amazon ❤️

Excellent base to explore the Amazon rainforest. We were lucky to have Abelardo Flores as our guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the rainforest, in part because he grew up there . We had a very favorable experience at Ceiba Tops!

This place is fantastic. They have rooms with AC and hot water. Plenty of nature all around the hotel and guest visits from the local wildlife. We did a 3 day, 2 night stay at the presidential suite and it was amazing. We were extremely fortunate to have Edwin as our tour guide (picture 2)! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Don’t think twice about booking this excursion.
