They are absolutely amazing! The staff is gentle and competent. Mel, the clerk who checked us in, was the best and made us feel very welcome after just having had problems with the other location we first reserved. Breakfast is more than I would have expected for small hotel - very good! The room is big with comfortable bed and great linen. Also well decoration. Internet works amazingly. Location - oh my God, it is so so good. We walked everywhere! I recommend this hotel and would most certainly come back without a doubt.

This is a wonderful hotel!! |It is a great location near the Termini station as well as many of the sites in Rome that you have to see. Many reviews mentioned the non-descript entrance to the hotel - it is true but we just loved it. The directions given by the staff will easily get you there.|The rooms are clean and comfortable! The heat worked well. |The breakfast is just great! There are FRESH meats, cheeses, pastries, juices, fruits, and much more. They also made a fresh Capuchino for us each morning which was very welcome. They have an indoor breakfast sitting area as well as a covered patio in the courtyard. Is was a real intimate experience for us!|All of the staff were so extremely helpful - from giving directions, calling a cab, or even helping book our train tickets to the cruise port an hour away. We met the owners and really enjoyed our conversations with them in the mornings. Lawren (sp?) helped with our train tickets - Thank you!!!

We have just had (Nov ’24) a wonderful week’s stay at the Hotel Cellini. It’s a peaceful and happy place to start each day from and return to. The location is very good for a 20-30 minute walk to lots of the attractions in the city, and the easy availability of taxis means you don’t need to walk back at the end of a long day out. The hotel provides an excellent breakfast with pastries, cold meats, cereal, cheese etc, although nothing cooked. As there is no kitchen, they don’t do evening meals but there are good places to eat very close by, such as Target a few paces away at the corner.||The thing that really struck us was the delightful way that a former elegant apartment has been converted into a hotel. Every detail has been attended to from the subtle difference in the paint shades to the beautifully designed and cut marble floor. This all contributes to the feeling of peace and calm.||The staff seem genuinely happy to be working at the Hotel Cellini and there is a real family feeling. Gaetano and Donato, the brothers who have created the hotel with such care, are often present, and have a wealth of information about Rome and what there is to see and do.||This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and we recommend it highly. We wish Gaetano and Donato and all the staff well for Rome’s jubilee year in 2025, and thank them all warmly for our wonderful stay.||N.B. When you arrive you have to ring the bell for the hotel as it is on the second and third floors of the building, so they let you in via the entryphone and you go up in the lift which also serves an office on the first floor. This surprised us at first, but we discovered later that it's quite a normal thing for hotels in Rome to be on the upper floors of a building.

This is a 3 Star hotel right near the Republicca Metro station. About a 12 minute walk from the Roma Termini train station. It's on Via Modena on the second floor of a pretty inconspicuous yellow building and is easy to walk right by if you aren't paying attention. There is no flashy sign outside announcing the hotel. Just a brass sign plate (picture). You have to either walk up two flight of stairs or take the tiny elevator which is s tight fit for just two people with two carryons. The Hotel itself occupies one floor of the building. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are large. What I didn't quite understand was the configuration of the shower fixture in the bathtub.(picture) Instead of it being mounted on the smaller wall it's right in the middle of the larger wall and the quarter sized plastic partition which is supposed to keep the water out, doesn't do the trick if you aren't careful and quite a few times my wife and I ended up stepping out from the tub into a pool of water that had flown out of the tub. So showers in the morning required a bit of yoga and keeping one eye open to make sure water wasn't bouncing off your body onto the floor. I just don't get what they were thinking when they designed the shower. Maybe they are more partial to a bath than a shower? But I have to give props to the staff. They were attentive, super gracious to all our requests and were wonderful. Special thanks to Donaldo (hope I got his name right). He gave us a map of the city, told us what spots to hit, what buses to take. Made it easy for us. We were in room 205, for reference. The breakfast was basic with meats, cheeses, varieties of pastries, breads, fruits, yogurt, boiled eggs. Cappuccino, lattes, hot chocolate were made to order. Orange and Berry juices as well. Wi-Fi was decent and strong in the room and breakfast area. TV in the room was tiny. Not a lot of choices other than Italian TV. Do recommend MiFang Chinese restaurant just Kitty corner from the hotel entrance if you get tired of pasta and pizza like we did. It was yummy. If you get back to the hotel after hours, you have to ring the buzzer to be allowed into the building. Never had an issue with entry.

This is on a quiet side street. You need to look for the sign on the side of the building by the door, not a big marquee above like some others. We were really happy with our stay. There was a minor mix up on arrival and our room was set as a king instead of two twins. They soon came in and switched it up for us, with tons of apologies. Truly gracious and helpful. It's in a building with other small hotels and residences. You have to buzz to go in, up a few stairs and then take a small old elevator with an iron gate up to the second floor to check in. Very quaint. The man at check in was super helpful, providing a map and telling us about the bus and metro, and pointing out a good walking tour. Really welcoming! We did not use the restaurant as we were out and about early to explore. There is a little spot around the corner that had delicious croissants for breakfast and a coffee bar. Gelato is not far away! We walked everywhere and felt safe. Especially with the street nearby that has the President's house and department of defense or something as there were lots of guards and police around. Our room was good sized! Bathroom shower worked but was tiny with a door like a curved phone booth door. Really a charming hotel with high ceilings. One more extra delightful touch was the front desk agent arranged for a car to pick us up at 6:30 am to take us to the airport for our flight home, it went smoothly and it was lovely to have arranged it for us. Gave us a great view of major sights as the sun rose and we left. I would stay here again. It was clean, safe and reasonable. You are not near all the major sights but there are piazzas, churches, and more. We did walk from the train station and it's about 15 minutes. With all the construction underway for the Jubilee next year, some of the sidewalks are subject to detour. With a heavy bag, that walk may be a bit much. We stopped to view fountains on the way and enjoyed the city vibe.

I will echo all the comments about the cleanliness, spacious room and wonderful staff. I just want to add some specifics about things that were important to me.||I had a hotel booked near the Pantheon which is the area most often recommended by regulars on the Rome Forum. After studying maps, etc. and planning our visit I became concerned that what is "easily walkable" for some is not so easy for others. We are seniors in what I like to call good shape for our age, but we are not up to the physical activity we were 10 or 20 years ago.||We are also not capable of carrying heavy luggage up stairs or packing light. With all that in mind I chose Hotel Cellini and cancelled my previous booking near the Pantheon.||I did that because of the closeness to metro and bus lines to get us nearer to attractions and conserve the energy we needed to get through the Colosseum, Vatican, etc. The metro was extremely easy to get to the Colosseum and Vatican. Bus routes did not often work great because traffic is so bad busses were off schedule, but they did come in handy on occasion.||The only thing I was unaware of is there are 5 steps to navigate from the street to the "ground floor". We managed to drag our bags up the 5 steps. Upon check out the desk clerk insisted that he would come with us and carry our bags down the steps. So, if I had known that I would have had one of us go up to the desk at check in and have staff come down and carry our bags up the stairs. I have no doubt they would have liked it if we asked rather than doing it ourselves.||We also enjoyed the neighborhood around the hotel. Whether it was in restaurants, convenience stores etc, we were surrounded by locals, not tourists and I like that.||We really took advantage of the One Way Bar across the street. Its more of a cafe than a bar serving breakfast, coffee and sandwiches, etc later. On the evening of our arrival it was raining really hard so I ran to the One Way, picked up paninis and salads and we ate in the room.||We did not pay the 17 euros per person for breakfast because we had early days planned and didn't feel like we could take our time to enjoy the hotel breakfast. It was raining one morning so I did have breakfast at the hotel, which they added to my bill. Breakfast was fantastic and if we had a more relaxed schedule I would not hesitate to pay the price. Considering it includes coffee and juices and whatever else you want I don't think the price is unreasonable.||We also really enjoyed dinner at Pan Bernardo a restaurant a few blocks away.

Interesting quirky hotel. First of all it is located inside of an older building shared with anther hotel. At first I was really confused because it is located down a small street that does not have signs for hotels or much foot traffic. You enter through and unmarked wooden door that you gain access by pushing a call button. Then you get into this old school elevator that you go to the third floor where you will find the hotel desk. The entire "hotel" looks like it is just one floor of the building. The Service is excellent and staff very courteous. ||The rooms were large and nicely appointed. Decor is traditional but most important to me was the room was clean and had strong air conditioning.||The included breakfast was small but very nice. ||I would highly recommend staying here but just be aware that it is in a low foot traffic area. Not sure I would necessarily feel comfortable walking around at night alone.

Based on TA raves at the time, I stayed at Cellini in 2006 and added one more to the pile of glowing reviews. I've just come back from an Aug 2024 stay and am happy to report that it continues to offer tremendous value when staying in Rome. Rooms are large, bathrooms modern and spotless and the air conditioning strong. Each room is its own wi-fi hot spot so connection time and signal strength are extraordinary. But best and most important of all, the service is just as good as I remember it. No request is a problem and you feel more like family than hotel guests. Bravo Cellini.
