Hotel Center

My short stay in this family-run and very service-oriented hotel was only for 1 night, but I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience, the friendliness of the staff and the absolute service orientation. The room was very clean, the mattress very comfortable for my sleep and even at the rich breakfast buffet I was greeted warmly by employees who were visibly proud of their work for this special hotel. Even in the greatest hustle and bustle in the morning, all employees were very friendly and did not let themselves be disturbed. A clear recommendation from me for the ECO Hotel Center

A triple room with air conditioning was advertised. We booked and paid for this. However, the air conditioning did not work. The air conditioning did not work in the replacement room either. The hotel could not offer us an adequate replacement, so we were forced to change to a double room where the air conditioning worked. The room was tiny and the bathroom was outdated. As it was not a double bed, but two single beds pushed together, they drifted apart and our child disappeared into the crack. Not a pleasant night. However, the hotel thought it was ok to keep the price for the triple room anyway. No correction to the price. We paid for a triple room but only got a twin room.

The hotel is adequate and clean plus we received a friendly welcome. However; we were charged €10 for 1 litre of mineral water at the bar compared to €5.50 at an excellent restaurant down the road. That is extortion. The breakfast buffet had unripe melon and rotten brown pieces of pineapple. The staff didn't appear to care. I would guess iff the management show no interest, why would the staff. Would not return unless there were no other options.

Old, moldy, no airco (VERY hot in summer). Advertises free parking but that's a just a couple of spaces so if you want to go out to eat you won't have a free space and pay 10€. Very rude staff! Basic breakfast. Not worth it!!

The place is generally great - however the double beds are 2 single beds pushed together and if you're traveling as a couple, that's less than ideal, since they keep slipping apart.

The hotel is well located and our room was a great size with a nice desk, good wifi and pleasant check in. It was nice to have secure parking although the town seemed so safe and quiet we were probably being paranoid! There were plenty of sockets in the room although no kettle, usually a prerequisite for the English! Breakfast was decent with some interesting local food, the eggy bread was lush! We were expecting something far more basic but the public areas were very grand and they had obviously taken a lot of thought with the seating areas too. Our room was well designed and quiet. Excellent value.

Wonderful little cosy hotel, centrally located in Postojna. Really nice people running it, wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended!
