We were upgraded to a large clean bedroom on the upper terrace with a large bathroom, which was a kind gesture. However that evening was cold and windy and our room was cool when we arrived, which was unsettling as we couldn't get the heating controls to work. Staff remedied this; they also helpfully told us where to board the bus to the magnificent Port du Gard 20 miles away the next day. Breakfast at the hotel was sufficient but a little fraught, with fresh bread running out one morning, and my partner had to keep checking no-one had run off with his 'self-cooked' boiled egg. On the plus side, gluten-free bread was available on request.

After a long train journey from Germany, arrived in Avignon. It was a sultry night and upon arrival at the room was happy to find that it had air conditioning. It was situated at the top with a little outdoor terrace. Room was uniquely decorated and was clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a roomy walk in shower. The hotel is perfectly situated, a 5 minute walk to the station and a short walk to the Palais Des Papes. Thoroughly recommend and would stay again if I return to Avignon again. Didn’t sample the breakfast but looked adequate enough.

Great hotel, but if you wish for two cups of ice from the bar, you will be met with an attitude, and given one. I paid the hotelier one euro and told him we would not return. It was very rude, the interaction. There's other hotels in Avignon to choose from. Sad to say, as we were big fans of this place and this is our third (and final time) here. The first two times we stayed here, there was a refrigerator in the room. This time there was not one, hence asking for the ice for our bottle of water. It was a hot day and we figured two cups of ice wasn't a big ask. So, Mr. Hotelier, "you win". Enjoy your life.

The location could not be more perfect for central Avignon. Around a 10 min walk from Avignon Central train station, just around the corner from the tourist information centre, 10 min walk from the main sights. I stayed there by myself so the small room was the right size for me. Make sure you pay attention to this on booking. If I'd been travelling with someone else it would've been tight. This is made clear online, but people don't seem to realise small room is just that. The room was clean and had everything I needed for a 5 night stay. There is a bar, which I didn't use, but seemed popular with other guests

Located on the main shopping drag. Very clean room, friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast plentiful and wide choice. Whereas the room was perfectly fine, the bathroom needed serious attention - toilet seat not fixed, shower door needed sealing surround and new handle. I would suggest a couple of bottles of water in the room? No lift so there were 3 flights of stairs to the room - not for those with poor mobility. BTW the wine and tapas bar attached to the hotel was excellent. It offered simple but good food and the 50s/60s music superb.

The location is good and the members of staff are friendly, but the biggest issue was no hot water available on the second day of my stay.. Firstly they didn’t refill the soap in the shower room so I requested it to refill a few times, they dealt with it but didn’t inform of the hot water issue (they later explained that there’s a problem with the tank). Because of no information, I had to take a cold shower and call the reception being naked. They said the issue would be resolved in the morning but I couldn’t use hot water until checkout time. It’s the summer, shower is essential, and any hotel would provide guests hot water. For this reason, I would rather give them 0 star. I requested partial refunds to the reception but they only said “only the manager can authorise it”. TALK TO YOUR MANAGER THEN. It’s disrespectful to guests.

An excellent location in the old town, a very close walk to the train and bus stations in Avignon right on the main street through the old town. So also a very close walk to the Papal Palace and the Place de l'Horloge. Very clean and surprisingly big room with a buffet breakfast included. Staff there was great and spoke english as well.

nice small hotel in the city centre (mid way between Papal Palace and train station). friendly and helpful personnel. room was somewhat smelly (I suspect that either someone was smoking in it in the past or sth has burnt like plastic etc)
