Hotel Central

I'm pretty sure this place has some nice rooms—I actually got a peek at one being cleaned, and the other reviews suggest it—but ours was not one of them. Our Level 1 room was less "hotel" and more "actual dungeon." We had tiny little hatches for windows way up high, and we were boxed in by other buildings. Forget about natural light or a view! The bathroom has no vent. None. This led to a truly gross situation where the toilet area (and eventually the whole room) was filled with the smell of rotten garlic. It was completely unbearable. Then there's the reception staff. They were so unwelcoming it was awkward, can't even bother to return a simple 'good morning' levels of frosty. It made the whole vibe really off-putting. The only real plus is the location which is great if you need to be right by the train station. Otherwise, you can definitely find a better spot closer to the cool upper town areas.

This hotel is just 20 steps to the main train station and walkable to major attractions and restaurants. Room is just an average size and perfect for 2 days adventure in Zagreb. Staffs are not very friendly, or maybe they seem like that. Breakfast was the same, but with many choices, in our 3 days adventure visit. Price is above average. Avoid getting a room in front of the hotel due to train noise and construction. Overall, this is recommended to all travelers!

Hotel was fine, great location to the station. Room had everything we needed only downside was the noise from outside, even with the window closed you can hear the station announcement and traffic etc. breakfast was good, kept been refilled and tables cleared quickly.

Loved the laid-back vibe in the lobby bar—perfect for unwinding after a day in the city. The breakfast spread was fresh and satisfying, and the staff made sure everything felt easy and comfortable.

Very nice hotel. Room was clean & comfortable. Comfortable bed & good pillows. Breakfast had a lot of options & was a good start to the day. Location was great a 15min walk to the main centre square.

The great location to christmas markets is probably the only good thing I can say about this place. Its rated as a 3 star but its closer to a 2 star. The rooms are very antiquated and feels very dingy. Parking is noted on their information page but its a 200 meter walk to the public garage.

We stayed for 2 nights here during our recent trip to Zagreb. The hotel is centrally located, next to the main railway station and bus station. It is located in a very nice neighbourhood in the vicinity of a park and some historical buildings. The Ban Josef Jelacic Square which is the heart of the historical town is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. |The room was quite spacious, and the bathroom was clean and well maintained. The room was very functional, with no fancy decor or furnishing. The bed was very comfortable. |There was no kettle in the room and that was a major irritant as we both love our coffee the very first thing in the morning. The breakfast was a good spread - nothing special about it but the service started early by 6.30am and met our expectations. |This hotel is a good choice if you are considering a 3-star option that is conveniently located with comfortable stay.

My wife and I booked the hotel from Australia on booking.com , because of its proximity to the train station. That was a positive. The hotel include breakfast which was fresh and routinely topped up. So these are pluses. We inadvertently booked a twin room, but the on line booking for the room was confusing. The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. ||We asked for a change to a double but they said the hotels was full. Ok. However, The room was stuffy and the single beds were extremely uncomfortable and were in need of replacement. Likewise, the pillows. So on balance, I wouldn’t go back and would would spend a bit more a locate to tue lower and upper township
