Hotel Centro Mar

We stayed here as a group in October. The pros - great location for the old town and beach etc. Right on the corner of tapas alley. |The staff team are lovely. Really friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. |The hotel reception area is nice.|We had a room with a sea view balcony. Great views of Benidorm. Especially at night.|Roof top pool was lovely. Great views. Struggled to get beverages as the bar wasn’t staffed. ||The cons - the rooms were so basic. The interior was dated and the rooms do not look like the rooms advertised online. The mattress was too firm. The shower wasn’t great and it was difficult to get the right temperature. |The breakfast was so disappointing. The hot food was cold the 2 days we tried it. We ate out after this. The fruit juice was too sweet and even the coffee was awful. |The main issues in the room were that there was only 1 plug! How can any hotel think that this is sufficient? Luckily we had a charging pack so we were able to charge our devices over night. The other is that you can hire the room safe for a refundable deposit and then you are given this massive key! Again, who in this day and age wants to carry a huge key around with them? Surely, it can’t be too expensive to replace these with digital safes? ||We wouldn’t return to this hotel in its current state however it is a decent budget hotel and again the staff team are lovely and the location is great.

Great hotel, excellent location for old town or new town. Right next to tapps alley and a beautiful 15 min walk to the strip along the beach. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. You can secure a safe for a refundable deposit as you can with pool towels. Room was lovely and clean. Would definitely come again

A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Control Mar Benidorm I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Control Mar Benidorm, and I can't say enough about the fantastic experience I had. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, especially Miguel Angel, who made my stay incredibly enjoyable. His kindness and helpfulness were truly exceptional, and he made our stay feel like home. The rest of the staff were equally attentive, always ready to assist with any inquiries about the city or offer recommendations. The food at the hotel was also a highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Every meal was a treat, and it was clear that the hotel takes great pride in its culinary offerings. In terms of location, the hotel couldn't be better situated. It’s just a short walk to the beach, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful coastline. The convenience of the location added to the overall appeal of my stay. Overall, my experience at Hotel Control Mar Benidorm was fantastic, and I would love to return in the future. If you're looking for a place with great service, delicious food, and a perfect location, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Absolutely fabulous from check in to check out. We met the nicest guy on reception when we checked in who was so helpful. I’m sorry I didn’t get his name but he was just the friendliest person. We only had 3 nights here but will definitely return in the future and hopefully stay longer. The room was good and spacious and the bathroom had everything you could need including several dental kits and a hairdryer. Fabulous pressure from the shower too. The beds were a little hard for me I prefer a softer bed but that’s just my preference. We didn’t get to eat at the hotel but from what we saw the food looked very good. The pool area was really good. Seemed to be plenty of beds and chairs available and the pool bar was nice. Location was amazing. In the old town and just a stones throw from everything. Can’t wait to return here.

Enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is good and the rooms were ok maybe could do with a little spruce up but nothing drastic. Breakfast was nice with plenty options for all. It's perfect location for the Old Town, just down from the church. Pubs and restaurants metres away including Tapas Alley. The beach is just round the corner. We would easily stay again. Thanks.

Booked 5 nights here and didn't know what to expect. For the price I payed I was delighted in our choice. We stayed in room 403, and this is my review of the things that matter to me. The room was basic and a little dated but very clean. The beds are really comfy. The bath towels are a little small, but we were given clean ones every day. Our room was cleaned every day Check out was at midday. Staff are warm, friendly, and helpful. The location is great. It is in old town but central and just a short walk to the plaza. The pool and terrace area was really nice and unexpected. The pool is quite cold. There was no late night noise either from inside or outside the hotel. The drinks on the terrace are not expensive. I paid €6 for a large measure of good quality tequila and a can of fanta lemon and €3 for a red wine. I didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on food. Overall, for the price we paid, the hotel was fantastic, and I would not hesitate to book it again.

Stayed here for four nights. Basic room but modern bathroom with a great power shower. Booked with On The Beach and they only offer a room with a window. I emailed the hotel and requested a balcony which was €12 a night extra. Well worth it even though it was very narrow. Cleaned every day. Small fridge to store drinks. Only one plug to charge everything. English channels on a large television. The rooftop pool is fabulous with stunning views. Only a limited amount of sunbeds and four or five tables to sit at. We went room only but there was a small restaurant which a lot of Spanish seemed to use. My only negative was the walls between rooms, they were paper thin! We could hear everything, even down to someone’s phone receiving a text. I would recommend taking ear plugs to sleep at night. A big positive for me was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. The little off licence a couple of doors up was cheap and handy and you’re literally two minutes from Tapas Alley and the viewing plateau.

Nice hotel easily found using google maps as we were dropped quite away|Really friendly and helpful reception staff||The rooftop pool was great it is small so not many beds, but we managed to find a place to lay or sit everytime we went up ||The rooms are dated we all had a standard room as when we booked there were none left with balcony they are quite small and dark all have hairdryer and the Aircon is probably the best I've ever had on holiday each room had a tv which u can log netfix onto and a few english channels we were pleased with our rooms, we go out alot so no problems for us. |The maid came to clean every day she was very friendly and helpful|The location is fab |We would return|
