5 stars for an overnight stay. Flew in to visit family, and it was perfect for cleaning up, resting, and exploring downtown. Reasonably priced with solid amenities—crisp, clean sheets, a mid-firm bed, hot running water, gentle lighting, and a quiet part of the city. We're an independent, not-so-fussy crew, so we didn’t really test the customer service. Check-in was late, but we got to our room quickly! We took advantage of their coffee station—great for a quick fix, though not a café-level brew (as expected). Overall, a wonderful experience in a quaint, quirky early-century hotel nestled in the heart of Sydney.

What a find! I’m so pleased have found this gem. Location is perfect for cafes, restaurants, walking to the city/art gallery/Botanical Gardens. Easy to park in a parking station, a nice little stroll away. Bed and pillows were super comfy and I’m fussy! This will be my go to hotel every time I come to Sydney. Love it!

Fabulous location in Potts point surrounded by great cafes and restaurants 50m away. The room we chose was small but all we needed for a stop over before cruising. We’d stay here again for sure. Magnificent building. We were pleasantly surprised given the very affordable room rate received. Walking distance to magnificent harbour views and botanical gardens.

Beautiful hotel and the location is insane, it's the thing that will have me coming back again and again. Rooms are neat but ABSOLUTELY tiny. Bathrooms are due some attention on the details like silicone and grout to keep the place from feeling dirty. This feels especially important for such a small ensuite. Will definitely continue to stay here as the staff and location are so good. Recommend.

Absolutely amazing location and stunning old building. Front desk and any kind of help is non existent to the point of rude. Rooms are very small but not lacking charm... it is a room for one if you book standard as there is very little storage space. Value for money it's up there!!

This hotel had Faulty Towers vibes, without the humorous cast and with a price tag that simply did not match expectation. I am originally from Sydney and now kicking myself I did not just stay with friends or book an Airbnb. The room was tiny and the bathroom so small your knees touch the wall when sitting on the loo. The towels need replacing as were very worn and thin and had to be used to mop up excess water that escaped the poorly constructed shower. Parking is sneaky as they do not have any and send you 800m down the road to the Kings Cross parking station, at an extra cost of course. Reception staff appeared preoccupied and disinterested, with little to no customer service. The location and the exterior of the hotel are about the only things going for this place. Will not be back.

Boutique hotel in prime location- I’ve stayed in an upstairs suite here before , this stay was in an unbelievably small double bed room. As a solo traveller it was odd and concerning staying in the outside located rooms along the side courtyard. The room was a shuffle-past-the-bed size, and a bathroom so small you had to shuffle around the sink to sit on the toilet. The shower was poorly cleaned with too much hair to be reasonable from the last guest. At $160+ it was the cheapest job-shared bathroom stay in Potts point, but the standards had certainly slipped since my last stay. The bed was comfortable and the communal lounge offers tea & coffee for extended hours.

The Hotel itself is quite charming in a nice area but the reception service is very poor. They do not say hello or goodbye or have a nice day or anything, they sometimes even don't respond when you great them and I have noticed twice that people were waiting during opening hours and no-one was at the reception. the cleaning team is very friendly though and helping a lot. Really appreciated. I had two different reservations but for just one stay. I was not informed ahead of time that there was no reception after 8pm and had to phone to get a code and then my key. The room had no towels and after a 24 hour travel this was a very bad surprise. No excuses the next morning just : "are you sure you looked everywhere?" !!! Plus the first room had a window on a external staircase with spider nets.... I would have expected at least an upgrade for the second stay, I got a smaller room with a better view though. The last 2 days the wifi was not working and the person at the reception were not friendly at all and got upset to any people asking them !
