Just too hot starting with the lift, then the corridors and the room. Luckily it rained and temperature dropped, still needed fire escape door open. But they need air-con in the hallways to keep everything cool. Lift door should be left open when in the lobby.

Nice quiet hotel 20/25 mins walk to the cathedral, plenty of cafes/bars in the surrounding area and a small supermarket next door, lovely cafe underneath for a coffee. Great air con that was needed in the June heat, only downside was there was a lot of natural light that came in on a morning (if that bothers you) would certainly stay again.

Last minute hotel. The area is good for night life. The rooms are so small first time ever I’ve to share the bathroom. 👎👎👎👎😭😭😭 rooms are clean very small beds, the restaurant/bar downstairs is not bad I had a good service🍷🍷🍷🍷. 👍👍👍👍.

I stayed two full weeks here for a work trip. My room was spacious, the bathroom too, and equipped with everything one might need. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant downstairs was nice. The area is full of cute little restaurants, bars and cafés. The university and the city centre are within about 15 minutes walking distance and if you prefer public transport that's no problem either. The only other comment I can make, which I think applies to German hotels in general, is that the pillows are much larger and much softer than most other places I've visited, which takes a few nights to get used to

An excellent place, steeped in the history of Colognes artistic circles. Inexpensive and charming. A must when in Cologne.

The hotel works right up to the point when you reach the first floor and smell the chemicals from the cheap, dirty carpet. It's a pity. ||||It is in a good location, past the tourist crowds of the Cathedral, at the mid point between the solid useful shopping streets, and the funky new restaurant streets. It's a good price - I paid 80 euro for one night. The actual ordinary cleaning of the room was fine. But the carpet is a first warning, and then the room itself smelled as if it had been mopped with dirty or stale water, and opening the window didn't clear it. ||||I said it to reception when I was leaving. They seemed politely surprised. The real test will be whether they fixed it. Anyone?

We had a lovely room overlooking the street corner. This gave us a nice cross breeze for sleeping as there is no air conditioning. We had a balcony and were able to have easy bread and cheese suppers some evenings. We were here for a week The breakfasts were delicious and we were located near the University of Cologne as well as a number of trams and underground stops. There is a lift which makes reaching the fourth floor easy. The employees of the hotel are very helpful and nice.

Yelp
This place is definitely for young hipster business travelers who are willing to put up with a lot of mistakes and extreme inconveniences. Where to start? We arrived at about 6pm. The receptionist was not at the hotel desk but instead sitting at the hotels adjacent bar playing on her cellphone. She checked my wife, baby and I in to the hotel. The room was on the 5th floor. The elevator doesn't go to the 5th floor only the 4th, but not even that. The elevator had a metal door to close that was not working and closing properly on the 4th floor to send the elevator back down. Then parking: the hotel has a few spaces around the corner in a lot of converted shipping containers, none marked with the hotels name or logo. The receptionist gave me a key to open the blast door of one of the containers but the one she directed me to was wrong. So there I am trying each of the doors. Finally found it. Last but not least we ordered room service. I have never had a burger burnt so badly to a crisp. Ugh. Not happy with the almost €200 bill the next day for parking, one night accommodation and terrible room service. I will say the design of the lofted room with balcony was very cool, but when I sent the hotel a message to ask for a crib in the room, some warning on the elevator being out of service would've been appreciated.
