My wife and I decided to stay on South Beach at Hotel Chelsea the night before our cruise out of Miami, and were very happy with our choice! We arrived a few hours before check in ,but the hotel manager Mauricio was very accomodating and let us check in early at no extra cost.|We went to our room and found it to be small but clean and comfortable. |Like most of the hotels on South Beach, Hotel Chelsea had a restaurant in the front of the hotel and bar in the lobby. The restaurant, Havana Vieja, is a Cuban restaurant and seemed very popular with the locals. |The location was great as well, being only two blocks from Ocean Drive and the beach! We spent the day walking up and down Ocean Drive and Collins Ave checking out the old Art-Deco hotels and stopping here and there for drinks. |We also walked down to South Pointe Park to watch Saturday's cruise ships departing. |After a long day of walking we went back to the hotel and grabbed a couple seats at the bar. We had appetizers along with a few fabulous cocktails! Our bartender Enrique was very friendly and a master mixologist! Afterwards we headed to our room for the night. |the shower was nice with good pressure and nice soaps and shampoo. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet. |Woke up early and decided to walk over to the beach and watch the sun come up. The neon lights of all the old hotels were still on as we walked down Ocean Drive and it was awesome!|Uber to the cruise port took about 20 minutes. |Absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel. Price was right at just under $200, location was great;close enough to all the fun but far enough away that the noise didn't bother us, clean, comfortable, very nice staff. Highly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat!
