Hotel Chesa Languard

I only stayed 1 night before catching the Glacier Express the next day. I arrived quite late due to several delays in transport, but they made it so easy too check myself in after hours. There's a lift to help get my stuff upstairs and even a 24hr self serve bar. So sweet and authentic in decor. The room was perfect for myself. Even had an actual bath in my bathroom. Staff in the morning were really helpful and it was only a 15 walk, downhill to the train station.

The Hotel Chesa Languard is excellent. Our stay was very pleasant – spacious and comfortable apartment, well-heated bathroom, including the towels. The large window with a view of the lake and the mountains is simply amazing. Although the hotel is small, it is extremely welcoming. The Argentine attendant was very friendly and even communicates in Spanish, Italian, and English. The common area is decorated with beautiful wooden furniture. Additionally, there is space to leave luggage after check-out and before check-in, which is very convenient. I suggest providing a small map (it can be online) for guests arriving by the Bernina Express. I was suggested to take a taxi, but if you are not carrying much luggage, it is quite easy to walk there.

The hotel was perfectly located in the middle of all the shopping and restaurants. The rooms were very clean and quite spacious although if you need a bigger room than a single there are other choices. The breakfast was pretty good as well but I have had better....however this does not tarnish my view of how great this hotel is. They have a great elevator for those who cannot climb the stairs. There is plenty of parking right next to the hotel as well. Oh, and the view we had was stunning. Hope to be back soon.

Love the room and view. Nice cabin feel you get here. Location was quite a tiring walk from the train station if you are carrying luggage, but it’s just the landscape of St Moritz in general. Near to Coop supermarket and ******.

If you don't plan on sleeping in past 9am then this is a nice, centrally located & clean hotel. However, it is not quiet. The maids start early in the morning and scream at each other(just their noise level). I poked my head out the door and asked them to keep it down and they ignored me. I told them we had just got off a late night train and were hoping to sleep in. One of the most important points of hotel management is the quality of sleep. If not the most important. We ended up leaving a day early to find a quieter hotel and despite the service failure they demanded payment for the last day. Which was insult to injury as they took no responsibility for their service failure.

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the train station. The room has a good view over the snowy mountains and the frozen lake. Most of the staffs were helpful and friendly. However, the old man at the reception was impolite and unfriendly to me. He treated me with disregard. But to white people he was nice. I can't see any reason for him to be like that other than he is a racist.

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the main shopping streets and restaurants. The center of St Moritz is located considerably higher than the main railway station. Taking a taxi is CHF 25, but an alternative is to take an escalator to the city center. If you exit the station, go left and cross the parking garage to the escalator which will take you the center of St Moritz. After that it is a 5 - 10 minute walk of which half is uphill. ||The Receptionist at check in was helpful, check in was smooth.||The room was a bit outdated and the bed was very soft. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable. On the upside: if you book a room on the lakeside, the view is incredible.

Super unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Toilet paper was missing from the room - when mentioning that on the next morning, no apologies just handed me a roll at the reception. The shower head was broken - when mentioning that to the reception his reply was “well nothing I can do about it now, will have a look later” - then it was never fixed. They get 2 stars for good central location.
