This hotel was amazing in so many ways. The view of the Matterhorn from our room was stunning. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated and so clean. They obviously take great pride in quality and presentation. Breakfast was outstanding. Reception was friendly and very helpful. The complimentary transfers to the station on arrival and departure were greatly appreciated. Thanks for a memorable stay!!

Wonderful hotel in center of town with an amazingly helpful and cheerful staff. Easy walk to anywhere in town and some rooms with Matterhorn views. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Do take advantage of the ride to from the train station offer by the Hotel. Breakfast was really very nice. We went the last week of May and the timing worked well for us. The weather was great and the tourism season had not yet started. This means some restaurants were not yet open, but there are plenty of options. Mountain biking was very scenic. Have a beer in Z'Mutt.

Hotel Chesa Valese was an absolute dream! Every corner is thoughtfully designed with charming details, making it feel warm and inviting. The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming and caring — it truly felt like a second home. The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and offer beautiful views. They provide free pickup and drop-off (since Zermatt is a car-free zone), and even help place your baggage in the room — a level of service we didn’t experience elsewhere in Switzerland. The toiletries were lovely, As a vegetarian Indian traveler, I was impressed with their breakfast. Though it’s a European spread, they had plenty of veg-friendly options like cereals, plant-based milk, overnight oats, homemade fruit jams, and chocolate spreads — perfect for making your own sandwich or bowl. They also have a lift, which made handling luggage super easy. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay here. There was a mix up with the pickup time, but the staff handled it well and were very helpful throughout our visit. We were given a spacious room with plenty of storage and even a partial view of the Matterhorn tip, which was a lovely bonus. The spa and sauna were excellent and well worth using after a long day out. The only real issue was with the plug sockets. All were Swiss three-pin, and strangely, my EU two-pin plugs didn’t fit even though they worked fine on the train. Reception quickly gave us two adapters, so it was sorted without fuss. Breakfast officially starts at 7:30am, which is a bit late, but they allowed us to eat at 7 when we had an early start, which we appreciated. WiFi didn’t work with my VPN, which was a bit of a let-down as I don’t like using open networks. Luckily I had mobile data, so it wasn’t a big problem. Overall, a comfortable stay with excellent service. Would definitely consider staying again.

Our stay at Chesa Valese in Zermatt was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The entire hotel was immaculate, and we truly felt like we received personal attention throughout our visit, making for a genuinely pampered experience. The breakfast offered was quaint and perfectly set the tone for our relaxing mornings. We particularly appreciated their meticulous attention to detail, from accommodating our every small request to providing fantastic local tips, including a wonderful recommendation for a quick hike. The serene garden outside was a peaceful retreat, and our direct, unobstructed view of the Matterhorn was simply breathtaking – we couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. What truly set Chesa Valese apart was their extraordinary dedication to guest service, exemplified when we accidentally left our passports behind. We had already traveled a few stations away when we realized, and to our immense relief, the staff was there waiting for us at the Zermatt station with our passports in hand, allowing us to quickly resume our journey without significant delay. This level of care is exceptional and speaks volumes about their commitment to guests. We would wholeheartedly recommend Chesa Valese to anyone visiting Zermatt and eagerly anticipate returning for another stay. Five stars are well-deserved!

Great hotel with excellent rooms, and a fantastic breakfast. We loved the staff and the location. We rented skis next door, as well as mountain bikes. The Village was only a 5 minute walk away. I can't say enough good things about this hotel with a great view of the Matterhorn from our room.

We stayed for two nights at Chesa Valese. Since the first night the service and politeness of the staff was outstanding! The receptionist provided us amazing reccomendations for dinner around Zermatt. The hotel room was lovely and dog friendly. And to our surprise the spa was amazingly relaxing having both Sauna and vapor areas. The design of the hotel is modern. And the breakfast was complete and delicious. Fresch juice, vegan options and my husband loves Swiss food. The location is unbeatble 5 mins walking you are in the center. Very recommended, we would love to return sometime.

Yelp
Such a quaint little hotel right off of the main street in the village of zermatt. Rustic yet modern enough for today's little comforts. The staff here is beyond friendly and accommodating. I think it's a family owned business which is a total plus! They pick you up from the train station in a little electric car (only electric cars and horse drawn carriages in zermatt! Aka no pollution!!) The staff is always willing to help make your stay as comfortable as possible, and they are always genuinely nice. The rooms are decently sized. Most things you would expect like a tv, couch, closet, wardrobe, etc. just no fridge. Also a balcony! Only downside is that the bed is more of a cot and the "queen" bed is just two twins pushed together. Very springy and hard. They also have a spa downstairs. It's only open from 4-8 (but they will open it for you other times during the day if you just ask) and it has two individual hot tubs. They're more like jetted bathtubs but it is nice to have fresh water for every person. I haven't used the other amenities in the spa but they also have a tanning salon, steam room, and sauna. Breakfast is included and it is stellar! Breads, all kinds of jams and chutneys, sliced meats, smoked salmon, fruits, cheeses, cereal, and made to order egg dishes. Oh. My. Lord. The egg dishes are cooked to Perfection. Which at this altitude, is beyond impressive. Soft boiled egg and scrambled have been my fave so far. I loved my stay and if I'm ever back in Zermatt, this would be my hotel of choice
