This hotel honestly exceeded my expectations. I’ll admit I was a bit judgey at first because the phone and chat conversations before our stay didn’t feel very friendly. But once we arrived, that impression completely changed. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, and the place felt really homey. The room was amazing, and the bathroom was beautiful, which is a big deal for me. We loved all the little extras — free breakfast, free afternoon snacks, free mini-fridge items, and coffee in the room. The free pickup and drop-off from the train station was also such a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent with a huge and delicious selection. And the pillows were firm, which I personally loved. I honestly wish I knew the brand so I could get one at home. Overall, I’m really glad I didn’t judge based on first impressions. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I stayed here for 3 nights in the end of October, 2025, it was low season in Zermatt already. I booked a room with Matterhorn view for a reasonable price. I love this hotel so much, the location is perfect, and all the staffs are very friendly. It was my favorite memory of my trip in Switzerland. The sauna is perfect as well, it is very comfortable during a rainy day in Zermatt. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great experience Overall, the hotel picked us up from the train station. And we arrived at the hotel lobby Melanie at the lobby was extremely nice and helpful. She really stood out in making our experience at the hotel feel special. The breakfast was also really good. 100 percent recommended!

We had the best time here even just for a night in Our Zermatt experience. Warm and friendly staff! They will serve you with their smile on their faces. interestingly, they have spa in the lower level of the hotel which was free! The food was superb! We had a great time!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Chesa Valese, thanks to the wonderful staff, beautiful amenities, and cozy room. We really enjoyed the breakfast and wellness spa (Steam room and sauna). However, the best part was the staff who was so helpful and kind through our travel crisis. Luna was a life saver and miracle worker. My friend and I missed the last lift from Cervinia Italy back to Switzerland, and we needed to get back to Zurich on the same day to make the fly back home. Luna was super patient, we made more than 10 calls to figure out the taxis to the train station, ski rental pickup up and drop off, and luggage. We couldn’t have made it back to Zurich and catch our flight in time without her. Thank you again Luna! Highly recommend this stay!

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Chesa Valese. Our room was cosy, warm, and decorated in a charming alpine style. We had booked a Matterhorn-view room, and while the initial room’s view was partially blocked by a nearby building, Luna at the reception went above and beyond to help us. She kindly showed us other available Matterhorn-view rooms, and thanks to her, we were able to choose the perfect one.||The next morning, we witnessed a breathtaking sunrise over the Matterhorn right from our room—a truly unforgettable experience. The breakfast was excellent, and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I’m so glad we chose Chesa Valese and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zermatt.

Had a great 2 day stay as part of GLOBUS tour. Our balcony had a magnificent view of the Matterhorn. Room was very comfortable and breakfast included strawberries. Staff were extra friendly and we felt like royalty. Many thanks

We had a great stay here. There was a mix up with the pickup time, but the staff handled it well and were very helpful throughout our visit. We were given a spacious room with plenty of storage and even a partial view of the Matterhorn tip, which was a lovely bonus. The spa and sauna were excellent and well worth using after a long day out. The only real issue was with the plug sockets. All were Swiss three-pin, and strangely, my EU two-pin plugs didn’t fit even though they worked fine on the train. Reception quickly gave us two adapters, so it was sorted without fuss. Breakfast officially starts at 7:30am, which is a bit late, but they allowed us to eat at 7 when we had an early start, which we appreciated. WiFi didn’t work with my VPN, which was a bit of a let-down as I don’t like using open networks. Luckily I had mobile data, so it wasn’t a big problem. Overall, a comfortable stay with excellent service. Would definitely consider staying again.

Yelp
Such a quaint little hotel right off of the main street in the village of zermatt. Rustic yet modern enough for today's little comforts. The staff here is beyond friendly and accommodating. I think it's a family owned business which is a total plus! They pick you up from the train station in a little electric car (only electric cars and horse drawn carriages in zermatt! Aka no pollution!!) The staff is always willing to help make your stay as comfortable as possible, and they are always genuinely nice. The rooms are decently sized. Most things you would expect like a tv, couch, closet, wardrobe, etc. just no fridge. Also a balcony! Only downside is that the bed is more of a cot and the "queen" bed is just two twins pushed together. Very springy and hard. They also have a spa downstairs. It's only open from 4-8 (but they will open it for you other times during the day if you just ask) and it has two individual hot tubs. They're more like jetted bathtubs but it is nice to have fresh water for every person. I haven't used the other amenities in the spa but they also have a tanning salon, steam room, and sauna. Breakfast is included and it is stellar! Breads, all kinds of jams and chutneys, sliced meats, smoked salmon, fruits, cheeses, cereal, and made to order egg dishes. Oh. My. Lord. The egg dishes are cooked to Perfection. Which at this altitude, is beyond impressive. Soft boiled egg and scrambled have been my fave so far. I loved my stay and if I'm ever back in Zermatt, this would be my hotel of choice
