The design aesthetic of this hotel is absolutely beautiful - vintage & bohemian. I felt so inspired. The restaurant is in the stunning courtyard downstairs with jazz playing, serving delicious breakfast and lunch. On both of the days we ate at the restaurant, our server was warm and kind. Truly a beautiful place to stay and it’s centrally located too.

This hotel is so amazing. Incredibly friendly staff, they reached out after I booked a night there to let me know the room would be ready in the morning. The food and drinks there are absolutely delicious and made with love. The room was perfect, even the toiletries were good quality, the AC kept us nice and cool along with the fan, the bed was plenty comfortable, there was water and a bottle with tequila, we could hear the pleasant sound of relaxing music and roosters in the morning. It’s a great location, lots of restaurants and shops right around the corner. Jose was so attentive and took excellent care of us. The ladies in the kitchen were sweet and friendly as well! We kept saying how great this little hotel was and will definitely be back for a longer stay.

We stayed in the ground floor room close to the reception desk (Primero room) as a budget option. Putting this at the top of my review because some of the negative reviews I read were specifically about this room. Admittedly I was nervous about this room after reading the reviews, but we stayed for 2 nights (Mon & Tues) during peak season and we had a great stay. I’m a very light sleeper and had no trouble getting a good night sleep every night (they provide ear plugs if needed). The bed was incredibly comfortable and we loved the linens. There’s a ceiling fan and a cold a/c unit along with hot water. It is the only room on the ground floor. Yes - it is right by the front door & entrance is in the lobby near reception but we lucked out that the restaurant was closed on Tuesday's and dinner service only happens on weekends. San Pancho is a sleepy town and we stopped hearing any street noise after 10:30/11pm. The staff were incredibly friendly, available, and accommodating. We took advantage of the pool at their nearby property around the corner which was BEAUTIFUL and we got it all to ourselves. The hotel is well appointed with local goods for sale and the restaurant is cute — we only had the provided coffee and fruit for breakfast. It’s very close to the center of town and we absolutely loved San Pancho. The only minor feedback I’d give is regarding the toilet & wastebasket. You are instructed not to flush any toilet paper down the toilet (which for a small town in Mexico I totally understand the plumbing sensitivity as the toilet was slow to flush) so I would’ve loved a covered wastebasket knowing that. Also the toilet seat cover in the room kept falling down before we could sit so we’d have to hold it in order to use it. We made it work haha!

Love the style of this hotel. Unique, clever and local feeling. Very upscale in terms of their linens, soaps, etc. The staff is amazingly nice and helpful. And the food: where else can you find organic and tasty food in the area? Nowhere but at this hotels Bistro Organico! They make their own bread, yogurt, tortillas and more and more.

This is a difficult review due to the amazing staff and the lovely set up of the hotel with the little extras like a tequila taste in the room and nice soap etc. However I was extremely disappointed in the disconnection of management/owner and lack of understanding with my concern. The pool shown in fotos and “available” for hotel guests was 1.5 blocks from the hotel on a different street. Hotel staff needs to accompany you to let you in to the ABnB property, there are no lounge chairs or anything to sit on, there were two men there that had lounge chairs, not sure if the two chairs are always there and no wifi. It is not a comfortable environment and no “relaxing by the pool” . I was quite upset by the whole situation and was given a code for the pool and a wifi password but it was so uncomfortable there I could not stay. It would be impossible for staff to look after this for hotel guests and it should not be advertised as part of the hotel. The hotel is quite noisy due to the style and echos with voices coming up and down the stairs, there was a family with a child that blew a whistle until after 11pm Ugg. There is also a very popular restaurant directly below and to the left of the hotel. That night at 950 PM until after 10pm a Neighbour started drilling into the wall next to my room! Seriously. The person on the desk did go and speak with them and it did not happen again. I requested to speak to management and “it was not possible” I requested some kind of acknowledgement, maybe a discount or something but mostly wanted to be heard..nothing. Except from the excellent reception gentleman who tried his best and the other great staff. Hotel is clean, food and complementary fruit in the morning is excellent. Stay here if you like but do not expect a pool and do not expect any kind of response from management if you have any concerns. On my return in March I will not be bringing my family to this hotel and will not recommend to friends in Canada.

This small, intimate hotel in the center of San Pancho feels like a more expensive boutique hotel. Our double rooms was relatively small but well-appointed with charming touches. The small breakfast included with the room was delicious and there were other good choices for a more substantial meal. The staff are friendly and helpful. All in all, a great experience!

Very well located hotel in San Pancho Mexico. The breakfast, especially the huevos rancheros, is quite amazing.

We have a home in town, but it was rented. As luck would have it, Cielo Rojo had a rare in-season vacancy that we snapped up to extend our stay. It is a beautiful property, right in town, and the beach is a short walk down Tercer Mundo, the romantic Main Street. The traditional perota woodwork is complemented by many local, regional, and international artifacts, and so many intentional details to count. Everywhere you look here is a treat. This carries over into the kitchen and bar, which are attractive, spacious, and clean. The rooms and public areas are clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated, just-so. Gisele is a wonderful hostess, and her team is friendly and helpful, greeting you warmly in either Spanish or English. Gisele also provides a special treat upon arrival - her home made tequila reposado - smooth and tasty. They are opening for dinner this month, after just doing breakfast and lunch, for years, and we look forward to meeting friends and neighbors here.
