The room was fine - clean, very spacious, nice view of the courtyard, quiet, with an oddly laid out but reasonably sized bathroom with a bathtab.
We weren't particularly happy with the service offered by the receptionist on duty on the day.
We arrived early in the morning so left our luggage at the reception and were told check in is from 14:00. We went out for a wander despite the heavy rain and after going around all the sightseeing spots about five times, we had lunch at the hotel's restaurant and when we went back to the reception to check in at around 14:30, the reception clerk wasn't present and when I phoned, she told me I have to wait until 16:00. I believe she contacted the restaurant staff as the waitress who served us lunch came to the reception and processed our check in (five stars for the young lady!).
It was a very underwhelming experience considering that the day we arrived on was an unusually wet day, with heavy rains throughout the day. I would have thought that the person who went off on a four hour siesta break would know that her clients would be wanting to check in on time especially on a day with such a bad weather.
