Easy location to find, near the main train station. In a busy area full of restaurants and shopping. Room is bigger than expected. Bed comfortable. Wifi on par for most places. TV small and at an awkward angle for watching. Tea kettle (tiny cups) and teas provided. Free transport pass given, bonus. Breakfast available for a fee. Downsides: Bathroom lighting is bright and will wake up anyone in the room at night thanks to a glass wall separating bath and room. No a/c... so with windows open to get relief you also get street noises, smokers, rain and mosquitos! Tiny fridge is full of mini bar items for purchase so it was difficult to even house a water bottle for day use. Finally the room key, let's just say it could be used as a weapon, it's bulky & heavy! They must have a lot of problems with keys being lost.

This hotel was paid for us by sbb.ch due to a late missed connection between Zürich and Lausanne, The receptionist was very nice and prepared a sandwich in the morning since i was leaving quite early the following day. The room was amenable and a view to the station. Very nice!

In 2024 in a hotel room, you decide to take a shower and there is only hot or hot water, seriously? The water came directly from hell. HOT! The rooms are old, it smells like cigarrettes and the staff is not very kind. I would avoid this hotel.

First the good things. It is across the street, in front of the train station at Bern. It was perfect for us as we were planning to (and did) go to a different city every day. They also gave us a voucher so we could use all Bern public transportation during our stay. I dont know if it is a standard in Bern, but it was welcomed. ||On the other hand, dont expect the hotel to be a luxury or modern one. The hotel is simple, to put it nicely. At some hours, during the day, the entrance had a bad smell. We did not book the breakfast, but, when we checked it, it turned out to be a wise decision. Room heating can only be controlled by opening windows. Pluggin laptops, phones and other things that needed charging was an exercise in logistics. The people at the front desk were all over the spectrum. The lady who received us was incredibly nice. That was it. Everybody else at the desk seemed to dislike their job and were more than willing to let you feel it.

Very old hotel. No usb outlet . Have kettle with coffee and tea. Room door manual lock with key and a very big heavy key chain. Upside is the location just opposite the banhof. Room is spacious, can open up two 27” luggage. The staff is helpful..

I stayed here for a few nights and it was quite pleasant. One thing to say is that the internet was a bit annoying and it has problem connecting sometimes. The staff were nice, and helpful. The hotel room was clean and looked great. There was a bathtub and the bathroom had things like soap, creams, etc. I had heard that it was a very good hotel, so I was expecting it to be a bit more fancy but it wasn’t soo bad.

My recent stay at this hotel left much to be desired, and I can only award it one star, primarily due to its proximity to the train station. While the location is undoubtedly convenient for those reliant on transportation links, the rest of my experience was far from pleasant. The most glaring issue throughout my stay was the persistent and unpleasant odors that seemed to pervade the entire hotel. On day one, I was welcomed to my room with an unsettling smell reminiscent of burning spices or incense. This unpleasant odor not only lingered but also raised concerns about the room's cleanliness. The bathroom, in particular, had a strong smoky scent, with the shower curtain being a notable source. Day two brought an entirely different olfactory challenge as I was abruptly woken up by a foul, rotten egg smell emanating from the toilet pipes. This odor seemed to have spread to the corridor, making it virtually inescapable. It was an extremely discomforting experience. In addition to the olfactory assault, the hotel's overall condition was disappointing. Despite the spaciousness of the rooms, they were undeniably dark and outdated, creating a gloomy atmosphere. The facilities were in dire need of an update, and the door keys, which were large bell key rings, were cumbersome and inconvenient to carry. To make matters worse, the room suffered from a severe shortage of electrical sockets. There were only two sockets available, and both were already occupied by lights. This layout was not only inconvenient but also perplexing in today's tech-dependent world, where easy access to outlets is essential, especially near the bed. In conclusion, despite its convenient proximity to the train station, this hotel falls far short of expectations. The relentless odors, outdated facilities, inconvenient key system, and the lack of accessible electrical sockets made it a subpar choice for any traveler seeking comfort and convenience during their stay.

The location is across from the train station in Bern. The reception is open all day. I found my Decathlon emergency blanket ripped off in the morning of the day after my arrival at the room 107. The blanket is so tough and the inventor in Serbia tested for 200m climbing using it as the climbing material as the knowledge. I used it only on the bed for an extra cover and I found it broken in morning. The material is not easily ripped by just on the bed. Someone invaded for sure and I need to buy new eye medicines in case of medicine damages and also of the possible other item damages and thefts I have to take time to search while I'm busy. It cost me over 640 euro for 4 nights stay here yet the room was not safe from the check-in day. I contact the local police with the damaged item. There were Asians in the lobby yesterday when I returned back and they could be part of the stalking people like the Zurich train station yesterday. I'm searching the possible same group faker or other crime clues for January 15th 2023 night room invasion.
