Due to our schedule, we were able to spend only about 24 hours in Bern, so we chose to book this hotel in advance near the main railway station.|But besides the location, we were also satisfied with the other qualities of the hotel. Our bed was comfortable, we could not hear the traffic noise from the busy main street below, the bathroom was large and clean, and the sink was conveniently located in a little antechamber in front of the bathroom with the toilet and the bathtub.|The breakfast hall on the first floor had quite a large variety of food.|Last but not least, the staff was very polite and helpful.

The worst experience ever!! Room is freezing,no general heating system, wall separation feels like a tent you hear around you smells so bad, beds condition and pillows so bad. Phone disconnected had to go downstairs to speak with Receptionist. Only kind people at the reception and the restaurant. Had to stay 2 nights and change for another location so I can spend the 5 days working in town.

Very nice hotel and right across the street from Bern HBF. |Check in was easy. Staff was nice. Room fit our situation with no|problems. Breakfast was good and had many choices. City of Bern has tourist card for free transportation for guests at city hotels.|The hotel gave a card and we no problems. All together, a good stay.

Worst Hotel Ever. Dont book this hotel. Positive: Location and helpful staffs and thats all. Negative: - NO AIR CON - Weak fan (U just cant fall asleep with this weak fan and with no air conditioning in the summer.) - Fridge is not cold at all and full with mini bar drinks - Not enough electric sockets (Just 3 in total inside the room. 2 is occupied with lamps. 1 over the bedside.) - Old hardware - Smelly washroom And a lot

Have not stayed here but the young lady at the reception saved our day and vacation, assisting my partner to find a bicicle repair after his bike broke near this hotel. Soooo super friendly!!! Thank you!!!

Location is great: right near the train station and main street of the Old Town. Check-in and check-out is nice. Rooms have mini bars and ours had no "toblerone". So we immediately told that to avoid cheating (to pay for it). For that price it is good.

It's right next to the Bahnhof and well served by all kinds of trams and buses, it's the best location. Good breakfast, nice staff who are also very friendly. The only issue is it seems needing some renovation for the rooms, there is some odors, slightly

My mom and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in July, and we had an awful experience with one of the reception staff, a brown-skinned woman who appeared very friendly but was deeply unprofessional. When we arrived, I asked for the price, hoping for a better deal than online. She offered what seemed like a great price, but only for one double room, despite me clearly requesting two single rooms. I double-checked after feeling that the price was too good to be true(she already made me made the payment), and she played innocent, claiming I had asked for one room. Exhausted after a long journey, I had no choice but to pay for an extra double room, which made the total much higher than the online rate. When we complained about the inflated prices, she changed the price on the computer right in front of us, treating us like we were stupid and wouldn’t notice. Despite her polite appearance, I could sense deep hostility in her attitude. She then promised us “good rooms,” but one had zero privacy, with a window facing directly onto a neighbour’s balcony, which was extremely close. The room she labeled as “good” was far from it. On the third day, the same staff member accused me of not paying the previous day’s city tax, even though I had already paid. She raised her voice, embarrassing me in front of other guests. I had to show my bank transaction to prove it, and even then, she offered no apology, just gave me a fake smile:"alright, you can go now." As a PhD student in Canada, I have no trouble communicating in English, so this was definitely not a language issue. I can’t help but wonder if we were treated this way because we are Asian. This experience left us feeling extremely unwelcome, and I have no desire to return to this hotel because of this staff.

Yelp
The best thing about this hotel is location. Just a few minutes walk from the Central Station and close to the Old Town. Walking distance to famous arcades and the Federal Parliament, and all the tourist must see. The room was facing towards the main road ie city view, which was fine as it had a nice view. The beds were comfortable. There was coffee and tea in the room. Guests gets the benefit to free public transport in Bern.  You can add breakfast for $16 pp.There is no restaurant in the hotel but plenty of options very close by. The staff were helpful and friendly and we had a smooth check in and check out. We stayed here for 3 nights last month ( June ) which was peak time so it was pricey. Per night was around $250 but hey this is Switzerland, the most expensive country in the world for vacation! There was no a/c so we asked for a fan and that helped.

Yelp
Great location from the train station and the room was very clean, however when I asked if they had breakfast, they told me yes, but failed to mention that it's $16 per person, so upon checkout I was kind of pissed off about this. I guess it was my fault that I didn't specifically ask if it was included, but I felt like they could have been more upfront about it. It was crappy food anyways. Also, no air conditioning and they don't have fans. We couldn't leave the window open because we have a three year old child.
