Hotel Ciudad Vieja

I love this hotel. It is only 15 minutes from the airport, they will pick you up and take you to the airport. Nice comfortable simple rooms. The staff will bend backwards to make you feel comfortable and at home. The breakfast is typical Guatemalan. I’ve visited Guatemala City several times and stayed in other hotels but I prefer this one to others because it’s quiet, small, safe, close to the airport but most of all because the staff is very friendly and welcoming.

I like Hotel Ciudad Vieja. Great location, air port is a short taxi ride, there are many excellent restaurants within 1.6 km (1 mi). The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The grounds are decorated with greenery everywhere. Breakfast was simple and good. Someone mentioned noise which I have not experienced the three times I have stayed here. The rooms can be a little stuffy since there is one window but we opened it and all was good. The only thing I would complain about is the bed. It was a little hard for me but I slept well so totally doable for me. It is also close to some hospitals and the Oakland Place Mall. Hope this helps.

Great location. Located near a very good restaurant across the street. Laundry service is located nearby, within a 3 min walk. Very quiet at night, allowing for a good rest.

There is no fan in the room. You have to open window for circulation. That means noise and insects. It’s a basic hotel. For the same price, there are many around offer better experience.

I stayed here for one night and I found it really pleasant and comfortable. The front desk staff were super nice and let me check in early (like 11am) because my room was ready. The property is very shady and quiet and it's walking distance to a few restaurants. The breakfast was pretty standard for Guatemala. My only tiny complaint is that there is only one lamp in the room, but otherwise, it's a really nice budget option in Guatemala city.

Great location. Restaurant in hotel plus several others across the street. Quiet. Wonderful staff. Beautiful grounds. Small and very relaxed spot. I would stay here again. Hot water. Felt safe and secure. Nice area with tables and chairs for beer and vine.

The staff were kind and helped me get checked in easily. The doorman was easily the most friendly of anyone. The room needs more attention. I couldn't get hot water in shower, and the overall decor and style just feels a bit tired. The room was also very stuffy and hot through most of the night (no a/c).

Very comfortable rooms in a nice location. Walkable to a few good restaurants. The shuttle to the airport is easy to arrange and the staff are helpful
