The hotel has an excellent location right next to the historical area of Oviedo, restaurant streets and a few blocks from the train and bus stations. We had a good night's sleep, it was a spacious room (the kids had a separate area with a pull out couch). It was only a little bit noisy outside on the street as we stayed over on a night where they were having a big celebration and we could hear passerby's every now and then, but I was still able to sleep well.

We stayed for just one night but could not speak more highly of our experience. All of the staff we interacted with were incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to accommodate us. When our arrival was delayed, they were game to work out logistics with us over the phone, then stayed at the desk until 11:30 pm and cheerfully greeted us. Would recommend to anyone considering! Also very well priced and conveniently located.

great service and pretty rooms and bathrooms..only downside is no dedicated in hotel parking so you have to use a separate garage. on a pedestrian street so ignore Google maps and just drive up the ped street to drop luggage and check in. we had no problems. parking was 11 euros not bad. staff was super helpful.

After our first night of a three night stay, my partner woke up with a bug on them but we didn’t think anything of it, we just brushed it off and got on with our day. Throughout the day my partner came up in loads of red bites all over their back. When we got back to the hotel that evening we told reception we suspected bed bugs and requested another room. We were told there was no rooms available and were given new bed sheets and offered mosquito spray. We thought maybe it was just a few insects just wrapped up in the old sheets so we took the clean sheets. That night at 3am, we woke up to the bed crawling as pictured and recorded. We looked at the bedding closer and it was covered in blood stains. I rang the emergency reception who came over and immediately gave us another room. At this point I was furious as I’d already requested a room change that evening. In the morning I spoke to reception and asked why I wasn’t given a room change when I requested it, but I was given one immediately at 3am and they said it was because someone had booked a room but did not turn up. Not sure I believe this… what would of happened if that wasn’t the case?? Upon checkout they tried to charge me for two of the three nights, I explained we had one night with bed bugs and another night were we had to change rooms at 3am so if I was to anything it would be for the one final night and even then I wasn’t happy to be paying anything based on the inconvenience, stress and the state of my partners skin at this point. Yes, we didn’t pay for the two nights of sleeping with bed bugs but I wouldn’t expect to, there wasn’t anything else in the way of compensation from the hotel for the poor experience and we got told “it’s a global issue”.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting some sights in Asturias - we had a very nice stay. The beds were comfy and clean, the bathroom was clean and had everything you needed - hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel, for example. The WiFi was quite slow however, but this wasn’t really a big problem as we were out for most of the day. ||We didn’t have breakfast here (not sure if this was an option) so I can’t offer my comment on that. However the location is great and central, with lots of places for food and drink in the surrounding areas.

Very nice property conveniently located in downtown Oviedo. Definitely a good value for the price paid. Great shower, clean rooms and super quiet. Pillows could probably use an upgrade. The front desk staff was amazing - super friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay here next time I'm in Oviedo.

Great value for money. Centrally located in a pedestrian area with many restaurants and shops. There is a car park nearby. They don’t offer breakfast service but there several bakeries and coffees nearby.

That sounds frustrating. Staying somewhere for five days and not having towels changed by housekeeping is a definite oversight. Have you tried contacting the front desk or housekeeping to request fresh towels? Sometimes, policies on towel changes differ, especially if the hotel has specific guidelines about reusing towels to save water or has modified service routines.

Yelp
Had a great time at Hotel Clarin in Oviedo! We stayed during the last week of May 2023. Had a 2 room suite (room 208) overlooking Caveda Street, very centrally located, be careful with GPS direction getting there, Caveda Street is pedestrians only, but taxis are allowed. For rent a car, there is a parking garage at a very close by shooping center that has an arrangement with the hotel and will cost you EUR 10 a day, very convenient. Clean, quite, reasonably priced (we paid $99 a night including IVA). Highly recomment it!
