Hotel Clarks Shiraz, Agra

The rooms are nice, the front office staff very cordial, helpful and warm. But the food is big poor show..tasteless, flavourless, menu too ordinary...not a hallmark of a 5 star property. For a hotel with more than 200 rooms...their dinner buffet needs to be upgraded and made creative and delicious.

This was our second stay after 2022-23. This time stay was disappointing primarily due to poor service management. On arrival, no one assisted in picking up or carrying luggage to the room. After check-in, I called for drinking water, but despite repeated follow-ups, it took almost one hour for water to be delivered to the room.Most of the hotel staff appeared to be completely occupied with managing a marriage ceremony and a conference being held simultaneously at two different grounds within the property. While events are understandable, regular in-house guests should not be made to suffer due to poor prioritization and staffing.What makes the experience worse is the pricing. The room tariffs are higher than reputed five-star hotels like the Taj in Agra, but the service standards fall far short of even basic hospitality expectations.I would think twice before choosing this property again.

Our stay at Hotel Clarks Shiraz was fantastic and truly memorable! From the moment we arrived, the warm and professional staff made us feel welcome — always courteous, attentive, and ready to help with any request. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed with modern amenities, clean linens, and thoughtful touches that made relaxing after a day of sightseeing a joy. Some rooms even offer lovely views of Agra’s skyline. We enjoyed dining at the in-house restaurants, especially The Mughal Room and the Garden View Lounge — a great mix of local and international dishes served with flair, along with refreshing coffees and snacks. The rooftop Mughal Bar was perfect for unwinding with a drink and taking in the city panorama. The location couldn’t be better — just a short drive from the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Sadar Bazaar and other key attractions, which made exploring the city very convenient. The hotel also offers wonderful amenities including a swimming pool, spa, gym and leisure club — ideal for both relaxation and fun. The gardens and open spaces gave the property a calm, refreshing vibe amidst the hustle of Agra. Overall, a superb experience with great hospitality, comfort and location — highly recommended for anyone visiting Agra!

I had a pleasant experience at Hotel Clarks Shiraz, Agra. The hotel has a great location, very close to major attractions like the Taj Mahal, which makes it convenient for travelers. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a relaxing stay. The hotel has a classic charm, and the overall ambience feels calm and welcoming. The staff was polite, cooperative, and professional, always ready to help with a smile. Check-in and service were smooth and well-managed. The food quality was good, with a decent variety available. Breakfast hours can be a bit crowded, but the staff handles it efficiently. Overall, Hotel Clarks Shiraz is a good choice for family stays, business trips, and group events. A comfortable stay with good service and a prime location.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We hosted a wedding here and paid for premium, VIP services. We booked 30 rooms and the entire venue for two days. We paid for fresh flowers. We were given fake flower decorations. We arranged food for 300 people. They refused to put out dinner for everyone, and we picked an entire menu and some of the food items were missing. The waiters had horrible service. Random people were allowed into our private wedding, and the hotel staff allowed those people to start serving themselves food (which we paid the fee per plate for) and they came in the event and began taking pictures of my family and the groom. When we spoke to the hotel staff we didn’t even get an apology for compensation. Absolutely disgusting service after all the money we paid. I am absolutely disappointed and will never recommend this hotel or venue to anyone ever again. I have taken lots of videos of the way the hotel manager and staff spoke to us and treated my guests and am more than happy to share those with anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, in particular the buffet dinner (we did half board), the food was delicious, with a wide variety of well-prepared dishes that catered to different tastes, all served in a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that made the evening very relaxing.||A special mention must go to Manoj, whose service was exceptional. He kindly took the time to teach us how to prepare puri, which was a wonderful and memorable experience, and he was always nearby to help throughout the meal. His warmth, patience and attentiveness genuinely elevated our dining experience.

First of all, good location with everything just a short drive away. ||Without doubt the highlight of our stay was the Mughal Restaurant. The food and service were fantastic and be sure to take in the puppet show on the same floor. ||The hotel is clean and welcoming and the staff were very good.||My only real issue is that, when we stayed, a convention of sorts was happening with all the attending males staying at the hotel. ||Several of these men quite openly ogled my partner's chest. We were not impressed. This wasn't the fault of the hotel by any measure but it made my partner feel uncomfortable during our stay.||But, all in all a fine hotel and we'd stay here again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|Had a wonderful 2-day stay during Christmas at Hotel Clarks Shiraz. Great ambience, comfort, and service. Dining at Mughal Restaurant was excellent with delicious food and great quality. Special thanks to Mohit Joshi and Ajay Rawat for their outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended!
