Beautiful big room, very clean, lovely great garden full of birds, the breakfast is buffet style & delicious! Small grocery store in the front of the hotel and many good restaurants on walking distance. Staff is friendly. The cloud forest is less than 20 minute drive from here!

There was plenty of parking at this hotel. The check-in staff was friendly and efficient. They gave us a map and lots of information about the town. They showed us their resident sloth, too!||The parking lot is secured by a gate at night. We rented the large house for 4 nights. Everything was very clean. The kitchen was stocked with oil, spices, coffee, sugar, etc. It even had some sauces and a fresh bag of ice in the freezer. The mattresses were okay - enough to get a comfortable night’s sleep. The hotel is a short walk into town.|The area has very high winds causing the upstairs rooms to be very noisy. We enjoyed sitting outside relaxing on the porch swings. The staff contacted us after the 3rd night asking if we needed any housekeeping.||There is plenty of counter space in the bathrooms. Unfortunately, not much hot water. The second shower was always just luke warm if multiple people took back to back showers. The rooms didn’t have a place to put bags on (just a small night stand), so we ended up putting them on the other bed in the room. The outlets were on the walls, but not near the night stand. The power went out nightly due to the high winds - sometimes just a few minutes, but one night it was out for 4 hours. Each room has a flashlight.||Despite some of the short comings, we really enjoyed this hotel. We were able to cook some of our own meals with the well equipped kitchen, enjoyed relaxing on our porch hammocks, liked being so close to the town center, and enjoyed being able to spread out in this huge house!

Charming hotel. Room was overall clean, could use some updates and refreshed bedding. No AC. Otherwise, seevice was impeccable: very friendly and helpful. Location is A+, walking distance to lots of amenities and stores. The premises itself is very beautiful. Would recommend.

Hotel is within walking distance to town. Breakfast was pretty basic with limited options. The grounds/parking area is secured behind a large security gate and the property has tons of flowers and plants- very pretty. The rooms are outdated but clean. The shower sometimes had hot water, sometimes didn't. Staff was nice. No a/c but slept fine with the windows open (had screens).

This is a gorgeous small hotel located in the cloud forest. Very friendly staff, who also gave us a tour of the grounds, which included pointing out a sloth in one of their trees.||The room was nice and large, with a good sized bathroom and a Costa Rican shower (that means it takes awhile to figure it out).||Breakfast wasn’t very good and the two ladies working the dining room were off-putting. If you didn’t put something back exactly right they took care of it right away so you’d know you screwed up. ||The coffee station in the hallway was great, you could make your own cup of coffee CR style.

Great location, parking, service. Good breakfast. Good internet. Rooms don’t have any fan heating cooling. You can hear the water running in the pipes very loud. The curtains are very thin and let in a lot of light even at night. The skylight does not let the room get dark. Poor illumination in the bathroom and rooms. Not my type of place. But it’s decent enough to stay.

Very nice place to stay. Very close to all restaurants. It’s actually walkable. Room was very clean and well kept. They have a huge garden which is well kept. Kitchen is also good. Definitely a great and safe place to stay which is close to Monteverde.

Absolutely loved this little gem in the village of Santa Elena. The B&B style hotel has a garden full of exotic flowers, butterflies, colibri and other animals which is wonderful. The hotel is quiet yet well located (at walking distance to restaurants and shops). Breakfast is served in a separate building in the middle of the gardens. Breakfast spread was good and what one would expect in Costa Rica. The absolute highlight during our stay was a sloth residing in one of the trees at the entrance to the hotel. Lovely to watch. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, there is a veranda (with roof, so can be used also when raining) where one can relax and enjoy the garden views. Recommended!
