Hotel Claude Marbella, Marbella, Andalucia, Spain - Explore & Book

"The hippest hotel retreat in Marbella takes its name from the opera singer Claude Devoize who once lived here. At that time the house was a hub for the local intelligentsia, and the dream of its present owners was to hear the house ringing to the sound of animated conversation again, and to see it full of happy guests. Right now it certainly is, and their diminutive 7-room hotel - each one named after a province of Andalucia - has set a new benchmark in the boutique-is-beautiful league of southern Spanish hotels. The focus of Hotel Claude is a marble-flagged patio where the original columns and wafer-bricked arches, along with a 17th-century well, are juxtaposed by two eye-catching green pouffes. This same ritzy note is carried throughout the hotel: in the library-cum-drawing room where the feel is one of a plush boudoir, in the Art Deco diner where you can take breakfast if the summer sun is too much on the roof terrace, and in its 7 bedrooms, which are among the sexiest in the Costa. Highs A perfect position on a pedestrian street at the heart of Marbella's labyrinthine old town, yards from some of its best bars and restaurantsSumptuous bedrooms come with every conceivable gizmoDon't let the 'grotty Costa' image put you off coming: the old town is authentically Spanish and pretty with a capital 'P'We loved the intimate feel and distant sea views on the split-level roof terrace Lows Marbella's beaches can get crowded, and the town can feel more international than Andalucian; but as a chic city and seaside break rolled into one, it's hard to beatFull lunches and dinners are generally not offered, but there are plenty of restaurants nearbyThere's no parking - but there's a car park 2 minutes awayBathrooms have glass doors, which may not suit travellers needing total privacy" - Guy Hunter Watts

Hotel Claude Marbella (Marbella, Costa del Sol) 4 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The trouble with seaside paradises like the Costa del Sol is that they suffer under the weight of their own undeniable attractions; they’re developed too quickly, and often a little tastelessly, in order to capitalize on the massive demand. Here and there one finds pockets of good taste, however, and the Hotel Claude, in Marbella’s old town, is one of these." - Tablet Hotels

Staying at Hotel Claude Marbella felt like stepping into a little hidden gem in the heart of the Old Town. From the very first moment, the staff made us feel so welcome and cared for, waiting for us with a smile (and a drink), even though we arrived after midnight. They had already arranged our transfer from Málaga airport, so our driver was waiting for us when we landed, which was such a relief after a late flight! ||The hotel itself is full of soul, as it is a beautifully restored 17th century building. It is located right in Marbella Old Town, with Plaza Santo Cristo just around the corner (so the location honestly couldn’t be better). The lobby is cozy, with a library, a fireplace and beautiful modern artwork created exclusively for the hotel. We also loved the honesty bar concept. ||Each room is inspired by a different region of Spain. Our room, Marismas, was stunning. Everything, from the colours to the furniture, reflected the flora and fauna of the Marismas ecosystem, found in Doñana National Park, in the small village of El Rocio (loved the fact that the bathroom door had details of the inspiration). The room exceeded our expectations, from the comfy bed and complimentary minibar, to unique touches like exfoliating body pads and pyjamas for each guest, and even modern accents like touchscreen panels by the bed to control lights and curtains. Another highlight was the housekeeping – twice a day!!!||Breakfast on the amazing terrace was excellent and included coffee, juices, fresh fruit platters, pastries, yogurt and a variety of toasts (we tried most of them and they were all delicious). ||The staff was always ready with recommendations on where to eat, what to see, and what to do in Marbella and beyond. The manager even came by at breakfast to ask us personally how our stay was going and if there was anything to improve – which honestly made us feel truly valued as guests. But the truth is, we had nothing but praise.||We left with wonderful memories and with the certainty that this is where we’ll return whenever we come back to Marbella.

Excellent hotel in a great location in the old town of Malaga. Very quiet. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is a boutique style with unique decoration. The roof terrace is a great place to chill out during the day and evening with glass of wine. It only has seven rooms so it has a very individual approach to guests. The breakfast is great. Highly recommended.

Wow wow wow. I can not say enough kind things about this property. One of the best hotels I've ever been to period and just dreamy end to end. The rooms - incredible. Super modern, amazing beds, really cool with the history and books within. The property - gorgeous: Lobby area and hallways are beautiful with incredible art to look at. The terrace and breakfast (included - bonus) were incredible to start each morning with and the parking was also easy as well. Lastly - I want to mention the staff. This deserves its own callout as the staff was some of the most attentive, friendly hotel staff I've ever interacted with, there for every need while not being too pushy or it being a bit much. The group running this hotel and the property itself are doing all the right things. Wish every hotel could be like this!

Superior service, excelent location and beautiful accommodation. Our stay at Hotel Claude was beyond memorable. The staff was accommodating, attentive and always helpful. The hotel is located just steps away from many shops, restaurants and the nightlife of the old city area. Each room was uniquely furnished and quite comfortable. We had a wonderful experience during our stay in August 2024.

My husband and I have done quite a bit of traveling and this hotel definitely was one of the very best. The hotel is beautiful, the breakfast is excellent, every space is spotless and the people could not be more attentive. I would come back in a heartbeat!
