Hotel Cocoon Sendlinger Tor

The hotel is very nice, with a wild/nature decoration. The corridors have the sounds of birds and it's really nice. The location is great, you are at 10-15min from the center and you have a lot of transportation around. The rooms aren't very big and don't have much storage for luggage and clothes so if you have a lot of it probably isn't the best option. Also there is no food, kettle or anything in the room.

Room for three had a bed which is not really a bed and was very uncomfortable. Shower has a curtain which you draw across so that you can't see the person showering. They would charge you to store your luggage if you are early The hotel is beautiful , breakfast very nice, bar downstairs has a nice atmosphere.

No staff were available during the night, and our air conditioning didn’t work at all. We tried to speak to someone about it but had no luck. At 7:35 am, I was woken by what must have been the cleaners moving what sounded like bowling balls in the room above us. I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and have never heard anything this loud. No need for an alarm clock if you’re staying here—unless we were just very unlucky.

A great base for Munich. Good value and well located. The room was small, but comfy and the swinging chair was 👌🏼 I'm not usually a fan of hotel buffet breakfasts, but here was a good selection to start the day.

Wonderful hotel. Fantastic service from the moment we checked in with Monica.. Making our Accommodations perfect for our family. Leo our server took care of us two evenings after wonderful busy days in Munich. He was funny and made us feel like the only guests he had when he was actually very busy. One of the evenings he and his boss, Andrea, shut the place down talking about their experiences and tips for education and atudy abroad for our 14 yo daughter. The customer service was so personable and accommodating from them all. Can’t wait for our return trip and seeing them again soon! Top notch!

Take ear protection. Really nice hotel, comfy beds and the staff were all very friendly. Sadly, they have an issue with their room showers, which drip constantly and the shower is in the same room as the bed (directly next to it) meaning that our first night we couldn't sleep a minute due to the constant loud drips that were like clockwork. Got some earbuds and tried to pile up towels to dampen out that sound the second night and slept fantastic. Receptionist said it was a problem with many of the rooms and they have a plan to change out all the showers because of it, but couldn't get it done for a few months yet

We stayed at Hotel Cocoon for 5 nights while in Munich. The hotel was conveniently located in walking distance to the Marienplatz Square. Upon arrival we were pleasantly suprised with an upgraded suite with a kitchenette. The bed and bedding was very comfortable and the room was modern and up to date. We enjoyed dining at the restaurant & bar. Andrea the Pizza Baker makes excellent pizza and salads. We ate several meals at the hotel restaurant & bar and enjoyed conversing with staff and eating and drinking delicious food. Andrea made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. The coffee in the mornings was also top notch. We had an excellent stay and would return.

Great stay here. The staff are super friendly and helpful (and spoke perfect English which is great for us antipodean travellers). Super clean and comfortable. We were a family of 5 adults and enjoyed the stay. I appreciate their approach to sustainability. I particularly like their funky rainforest theme with chirping birds in the hallways and video in the lift which showed us rising through the rainforest canopy. Great location and easy walk to Marienplatz (15 mins) and other nearby locales. All in all a funky a comfortable hotel. I would readily stay here again.
