My husband and I spent 4 days at this hotel: really nice bar and lounge, comfortable and modern room, strategic position very close to the main squares of Munich where you can take any kind of public transport. People on duty very efficient, kind, specially Ivan. The night rate was about 84 per room without breakfast, so quite good. We'll come back the soonest!!

I felt very comfortable staying at Cocoon Sendlinger. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist. Unfortunately, I didn't ask his name. He was wearing glasses and a suit, but as far as I can remember, he was from Greece. He was very kind and helpful. The two chefs were also lovely constantly asking if everything was okay and foods were very delicious .Don't forget to visit the rooftop bar it very cozy and very beautiful. I will definitely stay here again.

While the hotel has a nice interior and the bed was comfortable, the stay was disappointing overall. We had no hot water for the entire five-night stay. Despite repeatedly being told it was being fixed, the issue was never resolved during our visit in late November/early December. The rooms are quite small, and the self-service system for late check-in and early check-out is poorly designed and frustrating to use, especially when tired. Basic amenities like hot water should not be an issue, particularly over multiple days. Given these problems, I would not recommend this hotel.

This is a very stylish boutique hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The staff was nice. Good location in Munich. Good restaurant for breakfast and German pizza. Great rooftop bar with a fun beach theme. The room had some quirks including no bedside table on one side, the toilet room had a strong self closing door and was extremely small without a fan, and the hanging bamboo chair took up a lot space.

I loved this hotel! My husband and I stayed here for his 40th birthday, and it was our first time in Munich. I wasn’t entirely sure how central this location would be, but it turned out to be perfect — safe, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. I couldn’t have been happier with our choice. We stayed for five nights in May 2025, and after studying what felt like every hotel in the city, Cocoon Sendlinger Tor kept standing out. Being able to book a balcony room was a huge bonus — and I loved it. The interior design throughout the hotel is fun, thoughtful, and memorable. Yes, the rooms are small, but they’re so cleverly designed that the flow and function make total sense. The added outdoor space made it even more enjoyable. A charming detail: if you’re paying attention, you can hear subtle little bird sounds in the hallways — such a cute touch! We ate at the restaurant twice, and the pizza was so good. And their breakfast? It truly had everything and more. The location worked beautifully for us. You do walk, but everything is still very close and easy to reach. There’s no on-site laundry, but we simply walked two blocks to a very clean laundromat — super convenient. If you want a hotel that’s design-forward, safe, trendy, and staffed by genuinely lovely people, this is it. We truly hope to return one day!

Cool hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast, clean rooms and a very interesting concept. The only problem was that the shower dripped all night and was integrated in the room, which kept us awake from the early hours of the morning. We didn't notice when we went to bed, as we were too exhausted.

Nice hotel, good location, and very clean. The only issue is that there’s usually just one person at reception, so check-in can take a long time. They also have a self check-in machine, but it’s not very efficient because you still need to collect the room keys from the staff. I think the reception area should be larger, and having only one person there isn’t adequate.

From check-in to check-out, the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a fresh and generous breakfast, with plenty of vegetables and even pre-made oat yogurt for those who prefer a lighter start to the day - but don’t worry, traditional options like eggs and sausages are available too. Rooms are on the smaller side, but they are well designed and thoughtfully equipped for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the automatic night lights in the hallway - a small but very nice detail. Parking is available in the hotel’s own underground garage (no reservations; first come, first served). In the evenings, you can enjoy the lobby bar, open until midnight, with a pleasant garden area until night quiet hours begin, as well as the rooftop bar before it closes later at night. A great choice for a stay in Munich - it will certainly be my first choice when returning.
