Hotel Collect (Budapest, Hungary) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Though it may not be grand in scale, this Budapest hotel is extraordinary in its own way. Hotel Collect can certainly boast a prestigious location — it’s right across the road from the Károlyi-kert, the French-style garden that is the city’s oldest park. And that French influence is visible in the Hotel Collect as well, with both Belle Époque and Art Deco echoes in the rooms, with plenty of black lacquer and gold, combined with a bit of modernist furniture and a penchant for vivid colors and bold textures." - Tablet Hotels

On a recent three week trip, this was our favorite small boutique hotels. It is located on a quiet street across from a small park and is in proximity to the Jewish quarter, the river and the vibrant old town near the river where there are innumerable restaurants. So close to everything and yet we never heard any noise. The staff was incredible--helping with reservations and taxis, making drinks and serving an amazing breakfast with not only a large number of tasty options, but omelettes prepared upon request. Everyone who worked there was very nice and gracious. The rooms were spacious, beautiful and very comfortable. And there is a handsome lobby downstair where the staff can prepare a perfect martini if you have to wait on a taxi. I highly recommend this small hotel if you are in Budapest.

Amazing hotel! Central, yet located in a quiet area with charming, picturesque streets and alleys. The rooms and common areas are beautifully designed, with great attention to every detail—both visually pleasing and comfortable. Spacious and luxurious rooms. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, going out of their way to assist in every possible way without being intrusive. The stay was both indulgent and homey at the same time. Highly recommended!

This was a wonderful place to stay on our visit to Budapest. The hotel is modern and beautifully designed. Its location is perfect: on a quiet street across from a small park, yet in walking distance to most attractions. (The express bus from Budapest airport stops just a few blocks away.) And the staff is very friendly and helpful!

Excellent upmarket but intimate hotel. Make you feel at home the moment you arrive. The staff are lovely and are a credit to this property. Room and bed were a very good size and it is extremely central so all major attractions are walkable, yet it’s off a side street so no noise. One of the classiest hotels I have stayed in hence I decided to write the review.

After a bumpy flight from Prague, this hotel was exactly the welcome I needed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by one of the staff and handed a glass of bubbly. The hotel is in a perfect location, central but tucked away just off a busy street, so it feels peaceful while still being surrounded by bars, cafes, and local life. We were about a mile from the Jewish Quarter, where we found tons of great places to eat and discovered two amazing ruin bars. But what really stood out during our stay was the staff. Every single person we interacted with went out of their way to make us feel at home. They helped arrange a day tour, make a dinner reservation and even called ahead to reserve us a spot at one of the local spas. Breakfast each morning was filling for a day’s worth of walking with fruit, fresh pastries, yogurt, and coffee. The hotel itself has a cozy, intimate vibe, and our room was super comfortable for after a long day of walking, and the shower had great water pressure (always a plus!). Budapest is such a walkable city, with beautiful parks and charming cafes everywhere you turn. We had an incredible time.

Hotel Collect is the kind of place you want to come back to. A cozy atmosphere, a clean room, a delicious breakfast, friendly staff, and a great location — everything is designed to make you feel inspired and deeply comfortable in Budapest. If you love thoughtful design, quiet elegance, and spaces that feel like home, this is where you need to stay. I’ve been to Budapest many times, but this hotel is the one I would come back to.

We are here for a long stay - 7 nights. The rooms and decor are lovely. High ceiling and huge mouldings and lovely touches everywhere. Kudos to the designer. The staff all are young women, and are all wonderful. They do everything to make your stay welcome. The best surprise was the hot omelette for breakfast, along with a ton of cheese, pastries, yoghurt and juice and on and on. The hotel is located across from a park, and we left our windows open at night. So lovely to look out your window and see trees, and hear the sound of children playing in the park. The balcony was a nice spot to sit also. Book a room facing the park if you can.
