Hotel Colón

Friendly welcome, good size room, lovely view and very clean. Excellent location in the old town and steps from the beach. The guys on reception were so friendly! Would definitely stay again. Found the ladies in the restaurant a bit grumpy, but wouldn't put us off staying again.

What a beautiful small independent hotel in old town overlooking the beach and dove park. Usually stay in the big chain hotels and as it was a last minute holiday decided to book here at a very good price and so glad I did!! The view from the room is breathtaking to wake up to. Staff on reception very friendly and helpful and will most certainly be our next go to hotel when we visit

Very difficult review to write as the hotel and staff are absolutely lovely.In what you think would be a great location. However, in ten days staying here, I did not get much sleep at all due to the noise from the street below. I was on the 2nd floor. This is not noise always from revellery, but constant deliveries, cleaning of the streets, etc. throughout the night and despite having a roll down metal shutter and a double glazed patio window, the noise was very disturbing. Such a shame as I previously said, the hotel staff and hotel. Itself were fantastic.

The outside restaurant which i think is called the Captains Table is a lovely place to sit and people watch . The all girl staff are great and work hard . However the food is poor and overpriced . You are paying for the view and position of the restaurant , certainly not the food . Some snacks are ok but main meals are mainly very poor and not worth the money asked . 9-50 Euros for a tasteless small basic breakfast is a joke when you can pay that for a large breakfast elsewhere . Some food such as the steak pie comes out rock hard as it's been heated for hours . Drinks are expensive as well . Sort the food and pricing out and it will be lovely .

Clean rooms, very friendly staff, great location, but very noisy at night. Breakfasts - the same every day, no vegetables, only bacon and eggs served hot. A big plus for the fresh orange juice. Dinner - a choice of two dishes. The quality and preparation deviate from hotel standards. Fish is usually undercooked and served with strange sauces.

We arrived at the hotel at approximately 12:30pm on the 01/11/2025 for a one week stay, when I booked the hotel room on line it said check in at 4:30pm, my partner and I were instantly booked into our room on arrival which was fantastic after being up early hours of the morning for our flight into Alicante. The room was not good, curtains wouldn’t close, tap on sink was broke and very very noisy at night. We managed to upgrade for an extra 80 euros the next morning for the remainder of the week with a sea view, this room we were informed was a deluxe room, the only difference was the electric stayed on without having to use your room key card in the allocated slot and of course the views — wow!|Once again, the outside noise was awful, I think the patio doors to the balcony must have been made of paper. Fireworks banging, drunks coming home early hours, the bin men emptying the bins, birds squawking, all seemed like this was going on in the room. |That was the only downside of the hotel room. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but if you did you could get 10% discount. Checked the menu out and would say the food was overpriced. All in all we wouldn’t stay here again,and all because of the room noise levels.

Fabulous staff, great spacious rooms, nothing was too much trouble, a little gem in Benidorm, I was travelling on my own and felt very safe
