We had an amazing stay at this hotel. It’s perfectly located near the old town and close to all of the major sights. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. The common spaces are beautiful and also well appointed. Both the reservations team and concierge team were helpful in accommodating changes to our itinerary. I had been in contact with the concierge team in advance of our trip and they provided great suggestions on activities and restaurants and assisted with making reservations and securing guides etc. I would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Seville.

Outstanding ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment we arrived, this hotel exceeded every expectation. We were welcomed with champagne, our luggage was taken care of seamlessly, and valet parking made arrival stress-free. The personalized concierge service for sightseeing and restaurant recommendations was truly exceptional — every suggestion was spot-on. The rooms are a dream: incredibly comfortable beds where we slept better than anywhere else. The entire team was unfailingly friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the stay. One unforgettable highlight: as we came down the stairs one morning, a violinist and pianist were performing live in the lobby — pure magic. Having stayed in many 5-star hotels around the world, I can confidently say this was by far the best experience. Highly recommended!

Gran Meliá Colón is a beautiful hotel in a great location, close to everything in Seville. The décor is very Spanish in style, and the hotel itself is spacious. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights for us was the bar Colón at the lobby, the bartenders there were so friendly and attentive and made us delicious cocktails, we ended up going every day because we felt so welcome. Check-in was just okay. We didn’t receive welcome drinks and the staff at reception seemed quite busy, which didn’t feel as personal as expected. At the restaurant, the food was delicious, but not all of the staff were as warm or attentive as those in the bar. Overall, it’s a stylish hotel with comfortable rooms, great food, and an excellent location.

My husband and I had a wonderful three night stay at this gorgeous hotel right in the heart of everything! The staff provides exceptional service: from the friendly and helpful doormen, bellhops, servers, to the extremely hard working housekeepers who make the rooms sparkle, great turn- down service, the lovely concierge staff and reception members. The hotel itself is striking , designed beautifully, and most importantly is immaculate. |We especially loved the Red Level perks with an amazing all day lounge stocked with delicious goodies and drinks that are frequently replenished, and a very filling breakfast with excellent options. The patio connected to our spacious room was a terrific bonus after a long day of sightseeing. It is well worth the added expense to have this Red Level service. |The location of the hotel is perfect. We walked everywhere we wanted- to all the main historic sights, Triana, Santa Cruz and the Metropol Parasol. There are lovely shops and restaurants at every turn. The hotel restaurant Burladero had delicious dining outdoors. |When we did need a taxi to attend an evening flamenco show, or to the train station, they are available right at the hotel with welcome help from the staff. |We were very happy we stayed in this location and at this amazing hotel. Congratulations to all the staff members who make it very special! Everyone clearly takes pride in their work and it shows. We highly recommend staying here in Sevilla! We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Colón Gran Meliá while visiting Seville with family. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our trip special. They even suggested a different room to better accommodate my mother’s limited mobility, which made a big difference. The hotel is beautiful, centrally located, and every detail felt thoughtful. Their service and hospitality truly stood out. Highly recommend!

Stunning hotel. We had a wonderful time in Seville while staying there. It is a short taxi ride from the train station and puts you very central in the city. You are greeted in style and it was a wonderful welcome. Felt so relaxed and was a great start to Seville. Our room was lovely and well air conditioned, a must for the 40 degree heat. The whole hotel is exquisite, with paintings and art work. The staff were lovely when our little boy was poorly from the sun. The breakfast was first class, just the best. Amongst other things the most amazing orange juice! Only bits of feedback I would give is the pool is a little small and could have used some shade. We also had a this fire sensor above the bed that flashed all night. We had eye masks, but it seems a design flaw. But these are minor gripes in an amazing stay.

We spent four nights at the Hotel Colón Gran Meliá in Seville this September and really enjoyed our stay. The whole property feels luxurious, sleek and urban, from the dramatic glass dome in the lobby right through to the rooms, which were comfortable, freshly updated, and well thought out in terms of style, comfort and storage. What really stood out was the service. The RedLevel team, for example Milos, went above and beyond, and Concierge Pablo was fantastic with local tips and even helped us with tickets. Across the board, the staff was notable trained superb, spoke good English and kept the standard consistently high. We made full use of the RedLevel breakfast, which runs until noon—a small luxury when you want a slower start to the day. El Burladero, the hotel’s restaurant, has an elegant take on Andalusian tapas if you’d rather stay in for dinner. The RedLevel Lounge was also a highlight: calm, with plenty of snacks and drinks available throughout the day, and a nice place to sit down for a break or even get some work done. The rooftop pool is small, but the view across the city makes up for it. There’s a gym on site, though it’s really only suited to light cardio or a short session. Wi-Fi worked for basic browsing but on two days during the stay it wasn’t fully reliable for videocalls, although the staff responded quickly when issues came up. Location-wise, you’re in a perfect spot for sightseeing. The Cathedral and Real Alcázar are just a short walk away. The hotel is in the middle of a historic old town, so parking is limited but possible either at the Magdalena garage five minutes away (around €30 a night) or via the hotel’s valet service (about €40). There are only very few areas where the hotel could go further—more stable Wi-Fi, clearer guidance for guests who need a solid work setup, and perhaps some additional non-alcoholic options in the Lounge beyond soft drinks, like a 0% cava and wines. But overall, the mix of striking design, thoughtful RedLevel perks, and outstanding service made this a memorable stay. It’s a great choice for couples who want a stylish base in the center of Seville with a bit of extra comfort and attention to detail.

Service was lacking from start to finish. It started at check-in. They did not have the king bed room that I reserved and used that as an excuse to aggressively push a paid room upgrade. I ultimately had to accept a downgraded room class to get a king bed, but with no refund because it was a 3rd party booking. Service at breakfast was also a bit slow, and oddly unprofessional. The icing on the cake was the valet refusing to give me my key after taking 20 minutes to pull the car up. He needed some validation that I had paid, but didn't want to look at my phone for it. I had paid my invoice using their self checkout and was accused of not paying. Look for a better hotel. At this price point it is not a good customer experience.

Absolutely lovely hotel! Friendly and attentive staff, excellent service and luxurious amenities. The rooms are well decorated and spacious. The hotel breakfast is full of delicious options- an amazing selection of fresh fruit, pastries, traditional European breakfast cheese and meat trays, and even made to order items too. The bartenders have all been exceptional and have been lovely to our entire party (we are traveling with three generations - grandparents, parents, children aged 12 to 85). The staff have been great! My family wants to plan our next visit and stay here again. It is not the busiest part of Seville, and feels like it is in a reinvestment phase but it is about a ten minute walk to every highlight - the Cathedral, Las Setas, the Triana area and market. We are having a great time here!

This was a wonderful stay very central in Sevilla. We had arrived per bus from Faro/Portugal, and the hotel was in walking distance - like almost everything in DT Sevilla. The reception was super-nice and stylish, the hotel room - each door covered with an individual historic figure - itself perfect. Breakfast was included, which initially led us by accident to the wonderfully appealing not-included area. The one that was included was architecturally a bit less stylish, but the food items on display were equally mouth-watering. In addition, composite items could be ordered a la carte.

Amazing place to stay in the heart of Seville. The service upon entering and leaving was top notch. They sent us a beautiful welcome arrangement of fruit and treats for our toddler. The room was stylish and comfortable. We ate breakfast at the restaurant every day it was beautiful and delicious. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, we did not want to leave. Definitely recommend staying here!!!

I looooooove this hotel. Excellent breakfast. Excellent views. The pool is an infiniti pool. Extremely convenient location close to everything. The hallways have paintings on each door (who needs to go to a museum when the hotel itself has the museum/painting vibes?). Customer service was on point. Wold definitely stay here again!

At the outset, the level of service at the hotel is excellent and very impressive. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seville (notwithstanding the hotel's general manager described below), but the safety hazard on the jacuzzi terraces must be conveyed to travelers and was not properly addressed during our stay, and that is the reason for the poor rating. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and extended our stay in Seville since we loved it so much. Our previous hotel did not have a room available for the extra two nights so we booked the Penthouse Suite with jacuzzi terrace at the Gran Melia Colon. Upon arrival we were offered champagne and other refreshments at check-in and given a tour of the hotel by their very attentive staff. After settling in we enjoyed the private jacuzzi for about an hour - as we stepped out of the jacuzzi, my wife stepped on an exposed nail on the wooden floor boards of the terrace. The nail punctured her big toe and she screamed out in pain (photos uploaded). I immediately called the front desk, and the guest relations manager promptly arrived to the room and the hotel doctor arrived shortly thereafter. Upon closer inspection of the terrace, there were no less than 10 nails exposed that could cause serious injury. The guest relations manager had the maintenance staff hammer down the nails as the doctor tended to my wife. I asked about a tetanus injection, as the nails were rather rusted (see photo), but he said it would be unnecessary. The doctor prescribed a topical antibiotic spray and told my wife to stay off of her foot for at least 12 to 24 hours. As many of you know, no city in Spain can be enjoyed without being able to explore it on foot. As my wife rested in bed for the rest of the night the hotel asked us what they could do about the situation - my wife and I told them that they should propose something to us rather than the other way around. Shortly thereafter, the guest relations manager kindly offered one out of two nights free of charge. We were not satisfied with this and requested that both nights be given free of charge. We are not tourists trying to skirt the bill -- remember, this was not as if we had a bad meal, or the room was not tidy - the hotel's negligence and reckless disregard for guest safety injured my wife and we lost 18-hours of our trip to that negligence. Moreover, we were on our HONEYMOON. The next day the guest relations manager said he had spoken with the general manager of the hotel, Margarita Gonzales, and she concluded that one out of two nights was "fair." After being disappointed with the news, I myself went back into the Jacuzzi as my wife rested and I noticed more exposed nails on the terrace that were not cleared by the maintenance staff. I asked both the guest relations manager and Ms. Gonzales to come to the room to see the nails. Ms. Gonzales noted that my wife's wound was "superficial" and that she would be back on her feet within 12-24 hours. Unfortunately, the only thing superficial was the hotel's inspection of the terrace and the level of service and empathy by Margarita Gonzales. After saying she would get in contact with the hotel insurance to see if she could do anything more than one night, Ms. Gonzales called my wife and stated nothing more could be done. Her tone and attitude was not in line with the high level of service we experienced with everyone else at the hotel. We asked if she could at least cover the laundry we gave to the hotel in-lieu of our two-night request - she said she was unable to do so. Unable? Unlikely. Unwilling? Yes. During our stay I contacted the U.S. Consulate in Seville and they suggested filing a police report and reviewing the hotel, we decided against a police report but felt that we must tell others of the safety issue at this hotel. To conclude, any person thinking of staying at this hotel, PLEASE be careful on the terraces as you may find yourself seriously injured by exposed nails. The entire hotel staff was gracious and very kind to us, but Ms. Gonzales seemed to be the outlier. We both feel that she is holding this hotel back from being truly great, other high-level management should seriously reconsider her position at the hotel as this review would not have been written but-for her embarrassingly low level of service.

This was my first time in Seville, Spain and I am extremely satisfied with the hotel I chose. The staff were all amazing! Our room was clean, the breakfast buffet was great, and the hotel itself is beautiful! It's located near many shops and restaurants, which was my favorite part. I went with my boyfriend and they gave us complimentary champagne and desserts for our anniversary. Overall, my experience was absolutely amazing and I would definitely stay here again!

5 star hotel....where the superstar bullfighters stay. Its magnificent. Service, decor, food (breakfast was one of the best I've had in Europe), rooms, bathrooms, cleanliness....Top notch. Loved staying here.

This hotel is gorgeous and luxurious, especially for such a reasonable price! The room was clean and spacious and the entire staff was simply a pleasure to be around. They do a great job of making you feel welcome and helping you make the most of your stay in Seville. Not to mention, the location of the hotel is great, and it's just a short walk to many parts of the city. The gym is a little small, but hey, a lot of hotels in Spain don't even have a gym, so I can't complain! There is also a spectacular panoramic view from the gym/spa, which is on the roof! I highly recommend this hotel.

You need to stay here. I love when people take pride in their jobs, and the staff at the Gran Melia Colon do just that. They genuinely want to help you in any way they can. They were quick yp recommend and book a great restaurant for us, and were happy to contact the restaurant again when we wanted to push back our reservation time. Very reasonably priced, the hotel itself has elegant charm to it (think Fairmont San Francisco) and is in a perfect location if you are in town to explore Seville. The gym is a bit small, but is located on the roof level - don't miss a chance to pop up there for the view!

The experience was outstanding. The service espectacular. The food super. Please include the breakfast you will have the chance to experience a well balance diet and the best coffee. The fried eggs and the fruits were my favorite. Always a taxi in front of the hotel. My second time and i will return.

This may be the most beautiful, wonderful hotel I have ever been to. Forget the Wynn in Vegas etc: THIS is luxury. And it's one of the "leading hotels of the world" so that makes perfect sense. We only stayed for two nights at the hotel but wished we were there for far longer. The hotel is lavish, the staff is helpful, and the location is great too. We visited for our honeymoon and were gifted cava and strawberries which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, a great stay in Seville.

Beautiful hotel with artistic elements. The rooms are quiet and the beds are comfortable. The service is excellent and friendly. The solarium is a nice place to rest when you're tired of walking around Seville. The fitness center is not large, but definitely sufficient and there was never more than one other person when I was there. The spa is a nice touch too. The buffet breakfast includes hot and cold items and is more than adequate. Location is good, about 10 minutes walk from the cathedral but in a quaint area. I actually prefer the location to being located right near the cathedral. Loved the artistic elements such as the tulip and rose chairs in the lobby and the fact that each floor is devoted to a different Spanish artist. The only negative is that the shower gets water on the bathroom floor. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, quality service and grand presentation. Love the proximity to plaza and less tourist areas but close enough to shopping it would satisfy most.

If you have the opportunity to come to Seville stay here. Especially on a busy weekend I would highly suggest upgrading to the red level. Amazing concierge services, great location to the city. The opposing futbol teams stay here which made the elevator rides to and from breakfast fun! The bull riders also stay here. I must say every staff member was a pleasure to work with. The red level staff particularly at breakfast and in the evenings were very attentive.

One of the best Sevices we got at this hotel. All the staff members were genuinely happy to be at your service. They were very helpful, made great recommendations and went out of their way to help us. Definitely the place to be if you like to enjoy your stay and not have to worry about a thing.

Our family of five stayed at the Gran Melia Colon for 4 nights during our visit to Sevilla. It is a truly wonderful hotel. Besides being in a great location, the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed and the amenity spaces excellent including the rooftop heated pool and terrace. But what made this hotel so special was the service which was exceptional across the board, from the doormen, to the front desk staff, to the lounge and restaurant staff and especially the concierge staff who were really fabulous - thanks Rosana and team. We particularly enjoyed the Red Level lounge. The hotel really made our stay in Sevilla special. As an added bonus, one of my sons has celiac disease and the hotel was wonderful at accommodating him with gluten free food at breakfast. Having knowledgeable and helpful staff when traveling with celiac disease is a real treat. We look forward to coming back to the Gran Melia Colon.

They did a great job renovating this place into an elegant, artistic, and chic hotel. Amenities have all been updated. Our room is ample sized with a nice street view. The bed is VERY comfortable. The rain shower and frameless shower screen add both character and functionality. We especially enjoyed the roof-top jacuzzi with a panoramic review of the city. Although we were forewarned that the wi-fi signal from our 3rd-floor room would be weak, we never had an problem with the connection. Front desk staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Our 4-day stay there allowed us to explore this charming town on foot due to its close proximity to everything--tapas bars, the cathedral, alcazar, santa cruz, and the bullring. The only minor hiccup is that I wish the gym could be a bit bigger (they only have a treadmill, a stair master, and a bike machine plus SMALL free weights)...but hey, who comes to the scenic Andalusia just to be a gym rat anyway?
