I visited this hotel because the location is great… and that all I can say about them. The rooms are small (that’s ok) but clearly need an update. I can imagine, that the mattress was the same as when the hotel was founded, and you can even feel the springs. The bathroom is even worse, if you are susceptible to tetanus, please avoid this. The staff was nice but unhelpful, they couldn’t print a receipt (took them more than 20 minutes) and for some very strange reason, every time you leave your room, you need to leave the key at the reception (even for coming down to the restaurant. |If you want a great location, this is it. If you care about something else, maybe look somewhere else!

It is located in a quiet street, ten minutes from the bus station and very close to the city center. When you come, you are surprised about the spacious lobby. On the contrary, the rooms are quite small, but, including the bath, are kept clean. The bath also disposes of a hair-dryer, which you don't get in every Brazilian hotel or B&B. Breakfast is included and is rather good. The staff is nice and eager to help.

Good hotel in a historical building, with a blend of old and new decor in common areas giving it a boutique feel. Rooms are rustic and simple but comfy enough, with cable TV and quite small bathrooms, no a/c or fan, though, not necessary in a cool city. Good breakfast

The staff is very friendly and truly helpful. The breakfast is great! We loved the local fresh cheese and their homemade yogurt. It’s in the heart of the historic downtown close to gifts shops, restaurants, cafes and historic must see place.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. We were here for Easter and you can't really get much closer than we were. If you enjoy walking around and exploring the city, I would recommend staying here. The rooms are quite small though.

My family of 4 spent 2 nights in this hotel, August 2019. Located in a narrow street of cobble stones (just like town itself), old building, narrow corridor, I-don't-know-how-old style door knobs, old style windows, everything reeks scrumptious merriment of bygone era (even if locals might call me nuts for writing this). Friendly staff, delicious breakfast.||||My sister forgot her phone still charging in the lobby, and she only found out about her when a hotel staff brought it to bus terminal without being asked! Thanks much.

This hotel is very well located nearby the praça do Tiradentes, the main square of Ouro Preto. All the restaurants can be reached by foot. The hotel has well equipped rooms and the breakfast is certainly OK. Good budgethotel to visit this wonderful city.

Great location, close to most of the major tourist attractions, comfortable beds, but if you're tall, you might watch over your head because the ceiling is slanted. Also, the Wi-Fi is kind of unstable, but still usable and, if you need it, BYO blow-dryer.
