Hotel Colonial San Miguel

This hotel is in a great location and was probably really nice at one time. I was really hopeful upon checking in, but overall I was disappointed. We rented their 3 bedroom apartment and it's clear this space doesn't get used very much because it was dirty. It wasn't nasty like a sketchy hotel, but just basic cleanliness like the floors were filthy, showers and sinks needed to be wiped down, this dishes were grimy, the furniture had a stale smell, etc. Then we walked over to the main hotel to swim and again, you just get the overall sense that the hotel hasn't had a good thorough cleaning in a long time. The pool was really dirty which is gross to me. These are things that were great: - the staff were wonderful, kind, and helpful - the price is really good - there is free off street parking - the location is perfect

The hotel is clean and its staff very friendly, also food served is good and they provide free parking but the area is very old and so the hotel. That building must have more than a century and it is lack of entertainment and modern comfort. Mattress was hard and age is noticeable everywhere from floor to ceiling. They try to take a good care of the place but it's difficult because the building was built many years ago. I recommend the place, probably it is the best one you can find in the center of the town. Liked the decorations all around.

What an excellent stay! Our room did have air conditioning. The decor was eclectic Mexican - beautiful glass, light fittings and ornamentation. The view from our balcony through the courtyard to the mountains was stunning.||The food was excellent -beautifully presented and we would recommend the fruit breakfast.||What really made our stay was the attention we received from the excellent manager Jose - who arranged an amazing bouquet as our Spanish was not up to it, was there at unusual hours to let us in and out as well as sorting out a problem I had arranging an airport transfer online to the point of waiting on the telephone for some time to make sure everything was sorted out.

The hotel is near the central square in downtown Saltillo and some good cafes and restaurants, but is otherwise unremarkable. The rooms are modern but simple and not soundproof. The pool area in particular can get quite noisy, and the noise reaches even the more distant rooms. Maintenance and cleaning need to be improved. The food in the restaurant is average, and the service there is slow (the younger staff members in particular are more focused on their smartphones than on customers). Staff at the reception are friendly enough, but it took a while for things to be fixed (shower head) or restored (the Internet service was poor).

Comfortable, historical place. Free parking in old downtown is a plus. Also has a beautiful pool. Staff was attentive. Quaint and adorable would have given it five star but it just needs a little attention to the small details

Super cool place. It is 101 yrs old. Has its own enchantment. Clean, well organized, with a personal touch. They immediately identify you by your name. All willing to cater you, and make you feel welcoming. Competitive rates. Located in historic Saltillo. Will definitely tell family and friends. We had the best experience.

Nice hotel, room was fine, small but good for a couple of nights. Easy check in, safe, free indoor parking across the street. Nice outdoor area for lounging after a busy day, pool was a bonus. Perfect location short walk to cathedral

We originally were on a hunt that would allow us to get in and out of Saltillo without getting lost on all the one way streets. ||Not only is this perfect for that but the staff is A+ & the restaurant does a tasty job! The rooms are very comfortable, ample in size and overlook a lovely classic courtyard with pool.||They are very friendly, helpful and anxious to please. ||Easy walk to the main part of town and up the Museo de Aves-don't miss that!
