Nice bedrooms, good location. I would only recommend changing the showerhead and adding a toilet brush.

A very cosy place, traditional house with a beautiful interior patio. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Location is great , right in the centre, 2 blocks from Plaza de Armas, all nearby. There is a cafe next door that serves breakfast, lunch etc. We felt very relaxed here. Would definately stay again.

Beautiful colonial hotel, with several floors of rooms surrounding a charming courtyard. Lovely rooftop terrace. The rooms are large and very comfortable, with clean rooms and bathrooms. The hotel staff clearly takes pride in providing a lovely, clean hotel. A nice plus, the hotel has lots of quiet places to sit and relax. Our room rate included a decent breakfast, which was provided next door at El Mochica (not at the Colonial's ground floor restaurant). Recommend.

Beautiful restored and well-kept hotel with just a minority of foreign travellers and a majority of Peruvian tourists and visitors for business reasons. I like this balance to be able to contact Peruvians.|Staff-chief at the gront desk speaks English. Restaurant included for breakfast, good sandwiches and fine basic meals for lunch or dinner. Lovely and dedicated staff in restaurant.|Location is top, just ond block of the central plaza. |We stayed a week and we enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended, as well as the city and its people which are joyfull (almost every day a fanfare came along and around) and friendly.

Like most of the old Republican houses turned into hotels, the visual is good but the detail problematic.||Elegant public areas, wood panelling, cool tiles, courtyard and plants.||But the actual facilities are sometimes basic. My room had a simple Yale lock on it and the French window onto a common passageway just a latch. Not for the fainthearted!||Only one tap on the wash basin- how do they shave in cold water?||Reception is 24 hours and efficient.||Lot of children running around till quite late.||Room cleaned every day. Good personalised toiletries.||Breakfast in cafe joined on was simple but fine. Proper coffee and decent bread and butter.||Paid 80 S in the week of Marinera final when town is packed.

For 30 soles you have a room with a private bath room and television. They give you first class treatments, e.g. daily changing of towel and soap. Your bed is made daily. Being on the top floor, it is really quiet. The hostel is in the center of town, accessible to everything in Trujillon. It is possible to catch a collective to Chan Chan, the ruins, or to the beach. The staff is friendly and cooperative. They speak English, too.

With no less than 70 rooms in this substantial colonial mansion, there are lots of comings and goings here. The rooms vary quite a lot in size albeit quite sparsely furnished; ask for what you want. Lots of shady sitting places; On the top (3rd) floor you will not only see the Plaza cathedral but enjoy the chimes of the clock, although in the full sun these rooms can get quite hot in the summer during the day. Take your choice. Continental breakfast arrangements are slightly eccentric - you go next door to choose one of three permutations; nice setting, but do not expect to be overwhelmed by an enthusiastic welcome. On the contrary, the Hostal Colonial staff are without exception highly helpful. Thank you for a very comfortable and good value visit.

A well located old style hotel with French and English speaking staff in the middle of the old town with a small travel aent next door and close to everything indeed. Nice resturant near by and the closest city to visit Chan chan, the huaca de la luna and all the other museums near by...
