Hotel Colorado Lugano

Very expensive & a bit tired. Helpful receptionist who served drinks also. Parking extra ££ 5 minute walk down a steep hill to the lake.

Hotel situated a bit above Lugano center with easy car access. Rooms are clean and comfortable with private bathrooms, and some also feature a small balcony, which is great on lush summer evenings. The hotel has a terrace where drinks and food can be ordered. Staff is friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet in the morning was complete (both sweet and savory). Would absolutely recommend.

The best pillows I've had in Switzerland, but that's about where it stops. As soon as I walked up, the building looked dated. Walking to the room the halls smelt weird. The paint was cracking on the walls in the room and the towels were starting to fray.|Watch out for the shower. While it was warm and good water pressure, the step in and out was borderline dangerous.|Staff were nice and friendly, and we did get an included bus pass, which would have been nice before arriving as the walk is about 10-15 with light luggage.|Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Felt like it was bought from the supermarket. The room was clean, but felt old with the plastic chairs.

Stayed for two nights in a single room. The hotel seems kind of old-fashioned, but doesn't lack in anything. ||Buffet Breakfast was tasty. The staff is friendly. Location of the hotel is great, within walking distance of the station (800 m). Price is reasonable.

Great attention to detail by its proprietor Learco Bernasconi and wife along with desk administrator Leila who all keep it spotlessly clean and are always only too glad to please and recommend things without being overly fussy. ||||Hotel offers free local transport voucher which also includes a number of discountable Lugano attractions. ||||Attached bistro restaurant/pizzeria offers a menu which is frequently changed during the week to keep it fresh and interesting. ||||Well and moderately price rooms which include breakfast offering a continental style spread. ||||Overall- literally little if anything to complain of. Very much in the Swiss tradition of hotel management. For people looking for a well run 3-3.5 star accommodation.

The hotel is in good location at only 10 minutes walk from thr Lugano train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The one thing i liked that they complimentary gave the day pass for all transport mode in Lugano.

Comfortable well air-conditioned room; well appointed modern bathroom. Three beds ( great for us with 22 year old son). Decent breakfast with excellent service. Parking expensive at 10 Franks a day and often we got the last space. Friendly owners. Good location. We can recommend this hotel without hesitation: very reasonable prices.

Lugano – Colorado We took the local bus two stops to the hotel which we reserved with balcony and view of Lake Lugano, plus the breakfast which was great. One could eat inside or outside (where we also enjoyed dinner one evening. The staff was most helpful, as we wanted to make the most of our 3 nights stay: two boat rides, art museum visit, strolls along the lake, etc. There was one glitch which necessitated a change of rooms. Kudos to staff member Christina for her service and help.
