We stayed here for three nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were expecting a hostel, but this is truly more hotel than hostel. The breakfast on offer is certainly not the best money spent, but it can't be beat for convenience! The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the bathroom was surprisingly well appointed. There was even a complimentary bottle of wine - wine which would be better recommended as a cleaning solvent than as a beverage, but a thoughtful touch any way you cut it.

Not the friendliest of greeting when we arrived a little late due to flight delays, only to check in to our two rooms booked. We were given rooms on the ground floor but opposite sides of building. First room was small with shower in room, no toilet, no kettle etc. Second room was even smaller and shower in room was not even worth the mention it was awful and again no toilet. We went back to reception and let the man know the rooms were not what we had booked. We booked the hotel going on the pictures we had seen which were lovely, our rooms were far from that. He gave us keys to look at another two rooms on 2nd floor. These rooms were not much better, yes had toilets but still awful and not what was shown in pictures of hotel. In one of these rooms the double bed was made up of 2 metal bunk beds pushed together. We were told we could have these rooms at an extra cost to us. We decided this hotel was not for us and quickly looked online and found another hotel minutes away and for the extra we were having to pay we moved hotels where we were welcomed, looked after and instantly upgraded due to myself having mobility issues. We have spent our 4 nights in luxury at this hotel with all amenities and the best of staff. Please book wisely what you see isn’t always what you get. ||Positives of the hotel, yes it is close to the Vatican ( but so is our hotel of luxury)

First of all, i am a straight woman who stayed here on a girls trip. You do not have to be gay to enjoy this place. We felt like we were in a sex and the city episode! The place is fabulous. I have never been treated so well at an establishment. The owner, and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We felt like celebrities they took such good care of us! We laid out all day by the pool and were waited on with exceptional service! When we realized we needed to change hotels to be closer to the airport they were so helpful we could not believe it. The manager opened his wallet and gave us cab fare because he knew we were out of money. They went way out of their way to see that we felt safe and cared for. We will always come back here when we are in San Jose.

Really friendly and helpful staff, had an issue with our room but they changed rooms for us immediately...nice clean hotel. A little noisy due to outside noise but fantastic location and the whole team were very helpful||||Top Tip: “ Every Wednesday from 9.30-11.30 the pope performs a sermon and you can see him which was amazing! Also castle st Angelo is well worth a visit! Il gianfornaio is amazing value for coffee and breakfast around the corner ( €2 for coffee and a croissant) and for a beautiful meal 3 quarti just opposite is beautiful and very traditional but be warned it does get busy

Hotel Colors offers great budget accommodations in Rome. The private room we stayed in was pretty spacious and had a private bathroom. The air conditioner in our room seemed to be at the end of it's life. While it worked well the first night, it struggled to cool the room off during the remainder of our stay. There are also shared rooms on the upper floor. The staff were exceptionally friendly and spoke excellent English. They helped us book a car service to get us to the airport. Definitely use that if you need a ride, for about the same price you get a better service. The wifi was very good, maybe the fastest during our trip. Breakfast wasn't included and wasn't worth the 11 euro it cost for two people. The food options were very limited, you'd be better off going to a cafe. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Colors, it offered most everything we needed at an affordable price. I stayed there almost 10 years ago and it was great to return. The services are even better than I remember.

My wife and I have just returned from a week's stay at this friendly little hotel in Rome. The hotel is named after the variegated scheme of bright colours adopted for the cheerful decoration. Our en-suite room was very clean and well equipped, it even had a mini-fridge with complimentary water bottles provided each day.||||The reception staff were very friendly, speaking good English, and knowledgeable about advising us when we planned a day trip to Ostia Antica. They marked the nearest bus stop on our map giving us the number and times of the bus that we should catch.||||A special mention must be made of the lovely Breakfast Lady who made sure that we were well fed each day for good day's sight seeing. The hotel has a small terrace where one can sit and enjoy a glass of wine.||||The hotel is easy to reach from Fiumicino Airport using a S.I.T. shuttle bus, the second stop is just one street away from the hotel, with the return fare being just 11 euros.||||The hotel is in an excellent location for sight seeing, being just 10 minute's walk to St. Peter's and 10 minutes in the other direction, crossing the River Tiber, to the city centre. There were a couple of useful Supermarkets just a few minute's walk from the hotel.||||We will definitely stay again at this excellent hotel on our next visit to Rome.

We arrived early to the hotel, they told us to come back at one, we didn't adjust our watches to their local time. Thinking it was one PM. However the staff are extremely friendly, if we have concerns, questions or if we needed anything. Everything is in close distance, all you need is to walk but we asked the hotel where to get bicycles and they pointed us where to go. We rented them for 2 days. Been so long since I ride a bike. We truly enjoyed walking/riding the three of us through the city. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. Note, this is not a 5/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!
