Absolutely wonderful staff. Never found better. The hotel wasn't noisy until families arrived. Easy to get around. Hotel breakfast served buffet style. Not our favourite, one of us did have breakfast the first day, did not eat it, we then used the area for coffee. Meeting area. If buffet style is not your thing, do not add breakfast to your booking.

Small and old hotel, but clean and well located. Nice staff, large and spacious room, quiet and peaceful, good location, close to metro and bus station, supermarket in front of the hotel. The only slight negative point for me was that during a week of staying at the hotel, breakfast was the same every day without any difference. I would like to thank the hotel staff for cleaning the rooms in the best way every

My first impression was a beautiful smile from Anke at the front desk. She was so helpful with directions , restaurants and visiting. We had the same wonderful service from Dounia and Nazli. We were happy to have met and had a few conversations with Patricia (the owner)and her daughter Eléonore. Thank you to Angela who greeted us every morning at breakfast. Serving us the best cappuccino & double Expresso. Thank you to the cleaning service Simona, Adriana, Loveth & Fanci. |We felt the warmth and kindness. Loved the elevator to the 5th floor for breakfast and for a before dinner drink. A beautiful outdoor rooftop area and if chilly can stay inside with a very relaxing couch area. The area is in walking distance to most prime areas of Rome. We ate at all the restaurants very close to the hotel and they were all very good. I would recommend this gem. We sure loved it. 🤗

Google
Very satisfied. Staff was friendly and attentive, exceeding the other hotels during our Italian visit. Rooms were a comfortable size, quiet at night. Cleaned daily with fresh, ample sized towels. Breakfast on the open rooftop was charming and food was good with attentive staff. Termini area was safe, even at night.||

Very happy with our visit. The room was charming and felt nice and clean. Breakfast was served on the top floor with seating outside. All the staff were kind and helpful, and they came too our room with a bottle of champagne on my girlfriends birthday. Location was great.

We stayed here in November and LOVED our stay! Conveniently located near everything you’d want to see & a short walk to so many sites! The staff is super kind & accommodating, helpful and the breakfast is AMAZING! If you’re staying in Rome, even for a night, definitely take a look at this place! We loved our stay

Google
what a nice hotel, not big but cozy and neat. Very friendly staff who think along with you, give tips about what to see in Rome, public transport, etc. and good service. Complete rooms, quite spacious, little noise from outside, roof terrace, breakfast with plenty of choice, well located for public transport, restaurants, shops. Highly recommended, we enjoyed it.

Google
Location of hotel is close to the Termini station, lots of different restaurants and a few mini marts. ||We stayed here for 5 nights. ||This hotel is older, the decor (1950’s) should be updated since the bathroom is quite outdated with several mold problems in the shower/tub area. Using the shower was a bit of a pain since they don’t use a proper shower curtain, but almost 2 torn sheet like covers. They didn’t hold the water in the first time the shower was used resulting in the bathroom flooding. We had to figure out what not to do! ||Breakfast is the same every day, would have been great if it was changed up. Seems like the juices are watered down. ||The beds are very comfy & it was nice having an AC unit. ||The front staff are super friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Our family of three stayed here for 8 nights recently and are very happy with our stay. What a warm, welcoming environment from the moment we walked in! Every staff member that we encountered went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The hotel is not modern but it has so much charm. They give you one key for the room that is attached to a heavy tassel which you turn in every time you leave. There is someone at the front desk 24 hours/day so you just retrieve it when you come back. We found that no matter who was manning the front desk, they always recognized you and retrieved the correct key seemingly before being told your name/room number! They also have a wonderful daily breakfast on the beautiful rooftop terrace and the staff, there, were also phenomenal! The offer an assortment of croissants, bread, tortes, cakes, cold cuts, cheeses, tomatoes, yogurt, fruit, cereals, scrambled eggs, and more! One of the ladies there spoiled us with deliciously foamy, extra cappuccinos each morning. They even provided "to go" breakfast bags for us when we had to get up very early for a tour. We also enjoyed evening drinks on the terrance. It was really pleasant because we were entertained by someone singing from the restaurant across the street! We stayed in a "family" room with two floors. That made it nice for our adult daughter who had a room upstairs to herself. Our room overall was very clean and the beds were comfortable with a large bathroom. The night before checking out, we were surprised with a knock on the door. We were greeted with a platter of cookies and a kind note thanking us for staying with them. How sweet!

Yelp
Patricia, the owner, along with the rest of her staff were absolutely delightful. This hotel is super close to the Roma Termini train station...about a 3-5 minute walk. It's located amongst some great restaurants, and one of the best pizza places I've ever been to (recommended by the staff). Our room was clean, spacious and welcoming. The rooftop terrace was relaxing, and the drinks are the best we've had in all of Europe (with excellent prices to match). I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel.

Yelp
The front desk staff at Hotel Columbia was awesome. They made our stay simple and fun. The room comes with a complimentary breakfast, which was a great way to start the morning. In the evening the breakfast room serves beer, wine and snacks on the deck. They are all at reasonable prices, especially considering it is Rome. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are nice. The mattresses are very firm, too firm for my wife. The location worked great for us. This hotel is a short walk from the Termini and Republicca subway stations. This made it simple to reach the hotel coming into and leaving Rome. It is also right by the national museum Palazzo Massimo.

Yelp
We requested a non-smoking room for the 5 night stay and the room reeked so painfully of cigarette smoke, that even my smoking traveling companion was offended. Luckily, we grew accustomed to the smell by the 3rd day and it no longer became an issue. The breakfast terrace is delightful and the staff could not be more helpful. They were friendly and attentive, from the reception desk to the dining room. Wifi is free, but unfortunately I could not connect with my iPhone in the guest room (although my laptop reached a fair-strong signal consistently). I ended up camping in the hallways or stairwell to connect to Skype or Instagram...a mild inconvenience but not terribly troublesome. The rooms are small, with very small beds but overall quite neat in a compact and tidy sort of way. And the TV received movie channels in English! Ok, so that doesn't really sound like a huge deal but after dealing with Italian channels all trip long, straight-to-video B movies were a freaking godsend.

Yelp
My husband, 12 year old daughter, and I stayed at the Hotel Columbia for 4 nights Monday June 9 - Thursday June 12, 2014. Hotel Columbia was one of the hotels recommended by our travel agent. To get the best rate, we prepaid 692 Euros for the 4 nights. From FCO airport, we took a white taxi and paid the 48 Euro fixed rate to Rome, to our hotel. Don't let a so called "supervisor" tell you that a taxi will cost 70 Euros and that you should take a bus or shuttle. They will lie to you to get your money. After a 40 minute drive, we arrive Hotel Columbia, which is close to the Opera House, and not too far from Termini Station. We were greeted by Verena, who so warm and welcoming. She tells us that we booked a standard room, but we were upgraded to a superior room on the 2nd floor, room 204. She gives us a map to give us some familiarity of the city. Our room is small, but fine. There are two twin beds put together, and another twin bed for our daughter. The bathroom is nice and clean. There's a laundry line in the shower. Toiletries provided are: 3 sets of soap, 3 shampoos, 3 sets of toothbrushes & toothpastes, 3 shower caps, 3 nail files, and a sewing kit. There is a television, and a small refrigerator, a couple of shelves, two end tables on either side of the beds, and a desk with a chair. In the closet, there's many wooden hangers, a mini ironing board, a show valet, several drawers, and a safe for you to program a personal code. They offer laundry services at mainly 6 euros per item of clothing. The hotel provides free breakfast on its 5the floor rooftop terrace Monday - Friday 7 - 10am. There's different hours on the weekend. We met Jean, who will prepare and bring you your drinks. We had cappuccino every morning!. The breakfast has a nice spread of breads, croissants, butter, cheese, meats, jelly preserves, hard boiled egg, Greek yogurt, fruit cocktail, figs, cereals, oats, granola. Drinks are grapefruit juice, orange juice, milk, and water. Also, there's free wifi that Verena gave each of us three separate codes. The wifi was pretty good.

Yelp
Very good for the money. Highly convenient in terms of location as it is a few minutes walk from Termini. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even noticed that one morning we didn't have breakfast. When we told them that we were leaving the hotel early the second morning too, they offered us breakfast items to be delivered to our room the night before. They helped us tremendously with finding restaurants and any other landmarks in the city and how to get there. This is one of the few times that we will miss the staff of a hotel after leaving. Finally, a couple of important points: the hotel is clean and the 5th floor terrace is very nice. We loved this hotel.
