Condes de Barcelona, a Design Boutique Hotel Barcelona, Spain

"Hotel Condes Barcelona occupies two 19th-century buildings on Passeig de Gracia, each with a rooftop pool and terrace. It features a gym, sauna and a 2 Michelin-starred restaurant, Lasarte. The soundproofed rooms at Condes de Barcelona Hotel are air conditioned, and offer a pillow menu, LCD satellite TV and laptop safe. They have views of Passeig de Gracia or a pretty Eixample courtyard, and some rooms include a small balcony. Menus at the hotel’s restaurants are designed by world-famous chef, Martín Berasategui. Lasarte serves gourmet cuisine in an intimate setting, while the Loidi bistro offers a good-value set menu. The hotel has an elegant rooftop bar with wonderful views. The Condes is just 100 metres from Gaudi’s La Pedrera, and a 10-minute walk from Plaça Catalunya and La Rambla. Passeig de Gracia Train Station, 200 metres away, offers direct links to Barcelona Airport." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Hotel Condes de Barcelona Perfectly located right on Passeig de Gràcia — a superb and strategic spot for shoppers and city explorers alike. The room was a bit small, but very clean, cozy, and well-kept. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Everything felt efficient and welcoming from check-in to check-out. Definitely will stay here again on my next trip to Barcelona — an ideal base for both comfort and convenience. 🏨✨

Exceptional Service at Hotel Condes de Barcelona – Thanks to Tom! From the moment we arrived at Hotel Condes de Barcelona, we were warmly welcomed by Tom at the front desk. He was absolutely amazing—going above and beyond to accommodate us with our rooms right away. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail truly made a difference in our stay. Tom provided top-notch service that set the tone for the rest of our trip. Every interaction with him felt genuine and attentive, and he made sure we had everything we needed without delay. The rest of the hotel staff were equally friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel right at home. The combination of excellent service, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend Hotel Condes de Barcelona, and a special thank you to Tom for making our experience exceptional!

I spent 4 nights in this historic establishment. The rooms are very comfortable, although the design is not my favourite. Hotel staff were easy going and issues were sorted out quickly. The central rooms overlooking the elevator shaft and the lobby are a bit wired and can feel claustrophobic. In spite of this I would recommend this hotel for the bed quality, excellent location and price, which I found to be extremely competitive.

We only had one full day and one night in Barcelona after arriving in the port with our Viking Ocean cruise. So I really wanted to make the day count. I splurged a little on Hotel Condes de Barcelona, but I could not have been more pleased with the hotel, the location, the amenities, and the friendly service. They had sent me an email with an offer of a car transfer from the port, and they have a secure luggage storage room for our bags. The doorman was charming. The hotel is in a perfect location. We felt very safe exploring from there. We walked back after our tour of La Sagrada. Check in is early (2:00 pm) and checkout was relatively late (noon). When we checked in, they provided two complimentary drink tickets for the Alaire, the rooftop bar (I had already planned to go there to see the views). Our room, overlooking the Passeig de Gracia, was quite spacious by European standards. The bathroom was gorgeous. Everything was immaculate. The bed was quite large and very comfortable. After enjoying our drink on the roof, we checked out the pool. It is a smaller infinity pool, but very private and lovely. We did not swim only because we were tired. For dinner, we walked just a block or so over to Las Ramblas for tapas. It was a memorable stay and a wonderful introduction to Barcelona

We had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Condes de Barcelona for three nights. The location is excellent, safe, and a walkable distance to many of the great parts of this city you’d like to visit. The front desk staff are very helpful with arranging taxis if necessary. All the staff were friendly, warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was clean, spacious and bright and the shower was very nice too. Make sure to check out the little rooftop pool and restaurant that has exquisite views, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere.

One of the absolutely worst and most uncomfortable hotels I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in backpackers that were more comfortable and better maintained. For the price there are any many better hotels in the area, we travelled around the Spain and Portugal for 3.5 weeks and stayed in 3 hotels in Barcelona (both better priced and much better quality). The rooms need a LOT of improvements to be of an acceptable level and feels like no money has been spent on maintaining the hotel in many many years. The bed was less comfortable than a fold out sofa bed, it squeaked, was lumpy and generally very uncomfortable. The pillows were old and lumpy as well. The aircon was terrible and didn’t cool the room properly. The bathroom had ants crawling around, had black mold around the shower, the toilet roll holder was detached from the wall, there were tiles missing from the walls and even a small hole. The bathroom design is terrible where it is connected to the bedroom with glass with inbuilt lights, so if someone turns on the bathroom light during the night then the bedroom is instantly as if the main lights were all on. The lobby has fake pleather walls with many areas where the top layer has come off and just looks tatty. Breakfast was average at best. We had a friend traveling with us and they also had issues with their room and had to change rooms due to black mold in the bathroom. When we told the staff they offered to change our room, however it was too late for it to be an acceptable solution. The level of things that need to be improved in the rooms should have been picked up long before now if they cared about maintaining a quality hotel and should not need to wait for a complaint.

This hotel is in a great location and the staff were great. My only complaint is I asked for assistance for a private driver to bring us to the hotel from the airport. I received a link to arrange it and I paid. When we arrived in Barcelona there were two drivers, one I paid for and one the hotel arranged. I used the one the hotel arranged and was charged for both. I don’t understand what happened, but I don’t believe I should be charged twice.

Yelp
Hands down from the moment we walked in to leaving. We had smiling faces. Amazing views. The best rooftop. From the bell staff to waitresses to housekeeping everyone was so welcoming. We got the full tour and got to swim as well. The hotel has all the amenities that you need. Centrally located to shopping both high end and regular. You can walk to Basilica Sagrada Familia. The rooftop is my favorite.

Yelp
Really nice hotel in passeig de Gracia. Walkable to all metro. Super easy to find taxis. Safe neighborhood. Walkable to vegan spots. Front desk folks super nice. Gave us welcome drinks for rooftop. Rooftop cute and hip with views of some gaudi architecture/buildings nearby. Got pineapple juices everyday. Had a cute living set up with nice views. Fridge and good working air conditioner, nice toiletries. Super comfortable and would def return. Nice modern hotel.

Yelp
Unreliable wifi. Shower leaked everytime all over bathroom floor. Exorbitant breakfast prices, with no indication it wasn't complementary...a nice little surprise when you're hit with a massive bill upon checkout. Loud rooms, making it hard to sleep. On the plus side, it's in a great location. But not worth the pricetag for me.

Yelp
A chic and stylish hotel on one of Barcelona's most emblematic streets, with a lovely lobby and best of all on the top floor they have an excellent terrace bar to enjoy the view of one of Gaudi's houses while sipping excellent cocktails. Service was nothing but top notch. Once outside the hotel you're on the beautiful and walkable Passeig de Gracia, and to top it off, a super short walk from my favourite Christian Louboutin store!

Yelp
Booked and payed for 2 rooms for 3 people, a single and a double, but all 3 guests were put into one old, outdated room (as an afterthought in an attempt to get 3 people into one). This may have been the error of the travel agent, but when the hotel was made aware, they left 2 guests in the piecemeal room. Two twin beds were pushed into one, & the 2nd bed was a pullout couch. The bathroom was stained & outdated. The bed linens were not clean. I have never paid these prices for something that is equivalent of a budget motel in the U.S.

Yelp
Had a great stay here before our cruise! Great location, right on the main shopping strip and really nice staff. It's a great little spot.

Yelp
Stayed here back in March 2017. The whole experience of staying here was perfect. The front desk was very accommodating and willing to help whenever we needed it. My room was beautiful and very clean! Next time I come back to Barcelona I will definitely be staying here again!

Yelp
Not good, not bad. Lost our reservation, took a long time to check in, mold in the bathroom, hair in the bathroom. However, ok location, they let us check in early, rooms OK but on the small side, shower very powerful, rooftop is pretty. Pool is very small. Overall, its fine but I would probably try elsewhere next time.

Yelp
Infuriating experience. They didn't have our reserved rooms when we arrived which is ok. Things happen but the inhospitable unprofessional way they dealt with the situation is definitely not 4 star worthy. They essentially booked another older hotel in a less pleasant part of town without asking or warning us ahead of time and mostly had an attitude of "we did you a favor and already took your money to book a worse hotel, take it or go home".

Yelp
We had an excellent experience at this beautiful hotel located on the chic and trendy Passeig de Gràcia. The room had a wonderful view of the gorgeous Casa Milla. There were finger touch rainfall type shower heads that felt like a spa. The restaurant had a lovely breakfast with a variety of cheeses, fruits, pastries in addition to eggs, sausage, bacon and a lot more. But best of all was the fantastic attitude of the staff. Our favorite person was this kind, knowledge and helpful gentlemen at the front desk named Jordi. We had an issue with our work reservation and personal reservation. He fixed it on his own without us even asking him. We simply loved our stay. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Best location to visit, to do business, to shop, to enjoy best restaurants and night life in Barcelona. Staff and management very professional and caring. Best terrasse view, service, in town. Rooms very comfortable and price very reasonable for location. Thank's to all the staff from condes

Yelp
Nice location, not too far from the pedestrian zones, nice rooms. Restaurant closed Mondays, which was disappointing. Nice roof top bar. We got a free upgrade to a bigger room
