Hotel Contempo

This hotel is all show and no substance. Simply terrible. The rooms are like BASEMENTS with no surrounding windows. The air is stifling—I couldn’t breathe. It smelled of mold, dirty old bed linens. There are windows in the ceiling where people outside can even look in. A truly horrible hote! The next day, I wanted a coffee because the one included was awful. I simply wanted a cappuccino from the menu, which was supposed to be included with breakfast. They even tried to charge me for it, despite the terrible night I had. The staff member was very helpful and kind. Overall, the employees were friendly, but the hotel itself is a disaster—and ridiculously expensive. There are far better options. Save yourself the stress; if this is advertised as a high-quality hotel, you will be disappointed. Perhaps they have other rooms than the ones we had, but everything seemed the same. Truly awful. Like a basement.

We, and another couple , stayed at Hotel Contempo for one night - December 8-9. It’s an older hotel, clean, but not what’s expected from the photos. The gardens were nice on the property. The pool was very dirty , the gym which is advertised had no AC, elliptical & stationary bike need replaced. Lighting in the hotel room is very difficult- there were no windows in our room so if you turned the lights off- it was pitch black!! We Couldn’t leave the bathroom light on in the night as there was a very noisy fan which could not be turned off. Beds were comfortable, AC in room was ok. We were given a ticket on arrival for a complimentary drink- lemonade , or soda. The breakfast was very good- seven choices were included for a complimentary breakfast. More choices were available to pay for. It was located in a good area. 10 minutes away was a huge Galleria mall- filled with upscale shops, beautifully decorated for Christmas , and many restaurants. We went to the Shanghai Chinese Bistro which had excellent food and a robot which serves some of the food. The hotel did serve dinner as well. Prices seemed a little high, but if you don’t want to leave the hotel it’s convenient. There’s a spa onsite but we didn’t go in to see it ,or for services. The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful from check -in to check-out. It was a 30 minute drive to the airport.

Quiet, safe neighborhood location close to stores and restaurants. Clean rooms with comfortable beds with very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice grounds and lobby area.

Hidden Gem in Managua – Exceptional Service & Comfort I stayed at Hotel Contempo and was thoroughly impressed. The staff is incredibly helpful, attentive, and welcoming — they made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The property is clean, secure, and beautifully designed, with attention to detail throughout the rooms and common areas. What stood out most was the perfect morning coffee service — they serve hot, fresh Nicaraguan coffee with hot milk, which was a lovely touch. The on-site amenities, including the pool, restaurant, and spa services, truly elevate the guest experience. This boutique hotel is a peaceful retreat just a short drive from the city center and airport, making it ideal for both leisure and business travelers. I highly recommend Hotel Contempo to anyone visiting Managua — a truly comfortable, stylish, and relaxing stay.

We had our daughters quinceañera event equivalent to the sweet sixteen event, and it was fabulous, the staff, the food, place. Ended up amazingly 🌟

Stated here for a night. Rooms were clean and organized and the restaurant had good food. The service was great as well. I would consider staying here again in the future!

The staff is incredible and it's a beautiful hotel. Jenny, Esther, Byron, and Hop were the most helpful, amazing people. The proprietor, Jaime, is very kind. Adonis, the driver, was amazing helping us get around to meet family. We usually stay with family when we visit Managua but I will definitely be back to the Hotel Contempo. You won't regret staying in this beautiful hotel.
