The room was clean and more than adequate with a large bathroom, the breakfast was nice and the staff was professional and friendly. The room was a bit cold though (18-19 degrees) and the elevator is closed between 10pm and 7am. Also WiFi is a bit iffy. Had to rely on tethering instead most of the time.

Simple but quality rooms in a historic building in the center of Pilsen; with friendly staff and complimentary breakfast.

We stayed as a family of four adults in the Hotel Continental, and it was a good stay. The room was spacious and we were greeted very nicely upon our arrival. At breakfast the attendant was not very nice, even though it was not overly busy at the time we ate. Construction outside was frustrating, but understandable, and they forewarned us with an email

We booked a room with a queen size bed for the city Liberation festival weekend. The hotel is very central located, the bed was super comfortable, the room was pretty big, great shower, large bathroom. I was very impressed! Their breakfast buffet is very good! Definitely worth it! There was a pianist playing for breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for on night, thank goodness. Room was adequate, but not fancy. Front desk staff were very nice. Breakfast host staff were rude and unhelpful. Construction was frustrating, but the hotel did give us advance warning through email. Overall, just average.

First of all: We have already been to numerous other hotels in various Czech cities. With different stars and locations. We are not the kind of person who always and everywhere looks for the fly in the ointment. We are also always very reserved with negative comments and reviews. But unfortunately we have to depart from that with this hotel. Because there was simply too much wrong here. We were very disappointed by this hotel and our stay was saddened. Here are the reasons: Grubd No.1: Parking spaces are available, but bur according to the motto: first come, you're lucky A total of only about 16 parking spaces, which is absolutely undersized for a hotel of this size. Reason No.2: The construction site directly in front of the hotel entrance. The whole street was torn up here. No information, no hint, nothing at all. Not pretty!! Reason No.3: We never saw or heard of cleaners during our stay, unlike other Czech hotels. The floor in the elevator as well as in the rest of the hotel was dirty. The chandeliers are gathering dust Reason No.4: Our hotel room was simply spartan, impersonal and lovelessly designed. No feel-good ambience. The bed lights in the ceiling at 3 meters ceiling height a bad joke. The minibar was not filled at all and the small TV on the wall was also just a joke with such large areas! We didn't feel comfortable just because of the reasons mentioned so far. But it goes even further. Reason No.5: The reception was not staffed continuously. With such a renowned hotel in this size and location, this is an absurdity Reason No.6: The staff was noticeably very distant and hypothermic. Almost on the verge of unfriendliness. A very depressed working atmosphere prevailed. We definitely noticed that right from the start Reason No.7: Even the entrance hall and foyer did not look inviting at all. Just as you come in directly from the street, you almost stumble over the stairs, as they start immediately. No room for seating! The seating area see photo is too small and too cramped. Result: The negatives outweigh the negatives by far! Unfortunately! This is where hotel management comes in!! In this hotel, many things would definitely have to be improved!! This hotel has certainly seen better days!! We have the strong suspicion that this hotel is not under Czech Management. Most likely managed by some foreign operator who wants to make a big buck here just because of the name & location and the age of the hotel building without taking into account the real needs & wishes of the hotel guests!! The whole hotel is totally atypical for the Czech standard!! The price/performance ratio is not right at the front and back! Either there is a change of operator or the hotel is facing its last days? There are definitely hotels where you are better off at the moment. We will definitely not set foot in this hotel again because of our experiences!

Hello, even though it's late I decided to share about my one-day stay in Pilsen and the evening I spent in this hotel. Its location is very good and I decided to spend the night there with my girlfriend and continue our tour around the beautiful Czech Republic the next day. As soon as we entered, we found out that the hotel has a ghost story, but I didn't know what... The hotel is actually extremely tidy and clean... your attention is taken by the paintings that are located on the floors and between the floors... Throughout the night I woke up because of the noise of blinds, as if there was a strong wind and they made a flapping sound... There were no blinds on the inside of the window, but I assumed they were outside... The incredible banging of doors was the other thing that woke me up, I got up in the morning and the first thing I did was to check if there were external window blinds... it turned out that there were none..?! I don't know if it's not on purpose, but I will definitely return to this hotel... The history and ghostly charisma of the hotel is captivating... Go and see what I'm talking about...!

We stayed for a night in February with two rooms and a large group booking. Positives: great location. Historic building full of character. Nice breakfast. Easy parking if not full already. Negatives: lower floor rooms and hallways smelled really bad. Construction work starting very early on first floor was not cool. The floorboards are very squeaky in the rooms. And the floor in the rooms were also not flat…very uneven. Finally, the staff were available but not very friendly. Everyone seemed miserable. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it needs a lot of improvement.
