I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in October. The location is great, the ocean view is amazing. The interiors are also interesting. The breakfasts are decent, everyone can find a dish to their taste. The rooms are a little old, plaster is falling somewhere, doors are creaking somewhere, the shower is broken... But none of that matters. Because the hotel has very kind, helpful staff, with a good Oriental upbringing. Especially Mr. Ahmad, who helped me a lot in a difficult situation, most importantly as a subtle psychologist, was able to calm me down and give me confidence that everything would be fine. And that's why I recommend this hotel to everyone.

This is a review of the cafe as someone who is not staying at the hotel. Highly recommend putting this on your list. The view from the balcony is possibly one of the best. The hotel is decorated beautifully and i loved checking it out before and after our coffee/tea time.

This hotel features vintage Moroccan art and architecture. Very beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated but we found that that added to the experience. Prime location in Tanger to all of the restaurants and beaches. Breakfast was nice

This hotel could be spectacular if they paid a little more attention to room updates. The common areas, profile, and some room aspects scream historic hotel. But the rooms were comfortable enough, quiet, and equipped. Bed was good. Front desk was helpful but some staff hard to communicate with. Restaurant was really good, get the lamb tagine. Breakfast was so-so. What can’t be beaten is the location. It is directly across from the port and on the edge of the Medina. For now the price is cheap. Overall a good value for money.

Following a sight seeing tour of Tangier we were taken to the Hotel for Mint Tea and Pastries. However, on arrival we had a choice of pastries and you could have Mint Tea, Coffee, Orange Juice, Coke, or bottled water to drink, which was really nice. The staff were very friendly and made us welcome. There were tables and chairs both inside looking out over the sea or inside. The toilets were inside the main hotel which looked really beautiful.

Clean, friendly, and comfortable. The atmosphere and history were unique and breathtaking views. Accommodated our family and need for a playpen for our infant. Breakfast was amazing. Would totally recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Medina in Tangier.

The history and location is the only 2 things going for this hotel. I arrived on a wet rainy day... only access was up a staircase by the cliff sliding all over. Very dangerous. Was told I was silly when I showed my concern. Extremely slow check in. Huge puddle of the floor of which I witnessed several people slipping and falling on. Staff did nothing. My room was at the top and kind of to the side. Unfortunately my neighbours were extremely loud, but I didn't complain as I was only there one night and didn't want to be a grumpy on their holiday. Room was ok, modern decor. But bathroom very old and tacky. Tv didn't work. Had extra blanket which was great as it was quite cold. Didn't make the breakfast... I came downstairs carrying my heavy suitcase with 3 staff just staring at me. Some parts if the hotel are beautiful... but would I stay again? Absolutely don't waste your money. Go take photos and spend your money in the medina. Such a disappointment.

My favourite hotel built already in the 1880's is back in action after the pandemic. I have been staying here on my way to Marrakech for twenty years and was again given the nice room with a balcony. The restaurant where I had tasty and succulent swordfish for dinner has been freshly painted and redecorated. The wellprepared breakfast buffet is served on the first floor in an equally georgeous room. Also locals have found the large terrace with wonderful views over the harbour and city, it was crowded till late evening. If you travel lightly it is possible to pass through stairs to the sauare below and walk to the fast ferry.
