It was difficult to get to the hotel as the taxi could not find it, he left us on a street and told us it was around the corner, it wasn't but not the hotels fault though it is hard to get to by car. First the bad- the doors to the rooms are very narrow and large luggage needs to go in sideways. When we tried to get into the room the sofa bed was open so there was no way to get in. We closed the bed, and the sofa cushions were not very comfortable. To our surprise the bathroom is on the first floor and the bedroom on the second, making it difficult in the middle of the night to traverse the winding stairs without turning on the lights. Another negative was the window from the bedroom overlooking the staircase, so if you had the light on for the staircase or even the downstairs it illuminated the bedroom. We left our luggage downstairs as the staircase was a winding one and it would of be difficult to manage. Now the good, the bed was very comfortable, and the A/C worked great (a bit too good as we turned off the fan as it was blowing directly on you in bed or on the sofa). The bathroom was nicely laid out and the water pressure was great. The internet worked without issues (only strange thing was it was only for your room- you had to log into a different network outside of your room). The hotel is in a great location for seeing the city and not a far walk to the main sights. We were there May 31st so the June festival for St. Anthony was starting and the neighborhood for the hotel was all decorated. Many of the families had temporary restaurants in the street with great food and drink at reasonable prices. There was even live music going on.

Beatiful and clean hotel in Lisbon Alfama district. This is walkable to many attractions, close to dining, groceries, tram, uber/bolt stops. Uber/bolt will not be able to drop off in front of the hotel but private transport service and taxi with access to the narrow street will be able to drop off/pick up in front of the hotel. Reception people are friendly and accommodating. We arrived earlier than check-in time and our room was ready. Contact them prior to arrival and if possible, they will accommodate your request to check earlier when the room is available. Bed are comfortable and smells fresh upon arrival. There’s a fridge, coffee pot, instant coffee/tea and water. The view in our room was a plus. There’s breakfast for additional fee which I did not include in this stay. I will choose this hotel again when i visit Lisbon. Highly recommended.

Very cozy! Great location! Beware travelers!! Do not attempt to bring bags with your own car, the street is narrow and almost always closed. Best way to get there is by taxi, if he's portuguese, he'll know the area and will drop you off 10m away from it and you just need to walk down. 20€ fare from airport to there.

A very nice hotel in Alfama neighborhood. The reception staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 25 minutes from the airport. I used the BOLT app from airport to the hotel which cost about Eur18. The hotel is located in a residential area with limited access to cars. So the car dropped me just on top of the street which is about 1 min walk to the hotel. Please be mindful that it is downhill on a cobblestone in case for people with mobility issue. If using the official taxi, they can access the street and drop you off in front of the hotel. Breakfast is simple but decent selection. There are lots of wonderful cafes and restaurants surrounding the hotel. My room was small as I had booked for single room which was totally suitable for one person. The hotel is very quiet and has a large nice outdoor area to relax and enjoy a drink. On the day of departure, I was not able to book Bolt when the reception kindly offered to call for a taxi which dropped me off at Santa Apolonia train station for about Eur7.00. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Loved the chilled vibe. Convenient location, right in the heart of the old town but relatively quiet. Steep cobbled lane to get to it though so not for people with mobility problems. Rooms were super clean. Great shower. Friendly staff. Lovely coffee in the lobby and comfy sofas. Highly recommend!

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and am very happy with my choice! As others have mentioned, the hotel is located down a private road. So if you take an Uber, they will need to drop you off at the top of the hill and you will have to walk down. I booked a private transfer and was dropped off in front of the door. I believe taxi’s can also drop you off in front of the door. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds are very firm. I had no issues getting a seat for breakfast although I did go when they opened at 7:00. There was a good variety of food items available. The tram stop close to the hotel as is a viewing area to see the Tagus River. Wear your best walking shoes as there a lot of hills in the area!

We love staying at Hotel Convento do Salvador in the heart of Alfama. You can't beat this location and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only critique is that the beds are too firm for my preferences. But overall it is a wonderful, modern space.

The hotel is in a beautiful part of Lisbon. The streets are very hilly, so bear that in mind if lots of uphill walking could be an issue. ||The hotel grounds etc itself are nice & the staff are helpful. ||The breakfast was an issue for us however… I would love to tell you how it was but we could never get seated! The area was tiny & it was always busy. We did end up getting breakfast each day just down the road at the Copenhagen Coffee Lab and it was lovely - catered for dairy intolerance with Oat Milk too. ||We stayed in a suite with an upstairs and downstairs which was great for us. Shower was good but the bed was rock solid. ||There were certainly pros and a few cons to this hotel but overall it was ok.
