Hotel Convento do Salvador was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to Europe last month. The property used to be a convent and has been converted into a modern hotel in the heart of the Alfama neighborhood in Lisbon. I arrived early from my cruise around 7am, and even though my room wasn't ready yet, the front desk happily stored my luggage so I could go out and explore. When the room was ready, I received a text and was pleasantly surprised to find that my bag had already been placed inside--amazing service.
The room itself was small but very modern, and honestly one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Every corner was spotless--impeccable attention to detail. Breakfast was included and everything was fresh, including their freshly squeezed orange juice which was a great touch.
The only small downside is that the hotel sits on a short hill, and Ubers can't access that road directly, so just be aware you'll need to walk a bit. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning.
If I'm ever back in Lisbon, I would definitely stay here again! Great hotel and service!
