Fantastic hotel with fantastic staff. I was very very suprised at the price of the room for what you get! The staff are very accomodating and friendly. The hotel lobby is the mmost relaxed and chilled enviroment i think i have ever been in. Thats probably aggagerated by the fact i attended during Chritmas season and the tree and lights were up. The breakfast at the hotel is not the biggest selection however what is provided was very nice. I will say that as the hotel is not particularly big, the selection they offer for beakfast must need to be cost effective and i get that. So what they offer, the offer well. The rooms are clean tidy and spacious. Its just all round a pleasant enviroment to be in. Anyone looking for a stay location whilst on a visit to Lisbon would not be dissappointed with this place at all!! Thank you very much

Hotel Convento in the Alfama district of Lisboa is such a gem! I'm so glad I found it for my first solo trip to Europe! This was the very first city and hotel I have ever stayed at in Europe and I'm so glad I did! Not only was it a super nice place with a great room and view, in an ideal location, but the staff were so kind and helpful, giving me maps and showing me how to get to where I needed to go! This area of Lisboa in the Alfama district is so old, traditional, and historical and was so fun to walk around day and night and I never felt unsafe. At night it was so quiet and peaceful even when I had my balcony door open. It was such a great value for the price and I recommend adding the breakfast, it was delicious as well! Thank you so much for making my first stay in Europe such a memorable one! Highly recommend!

What a find! Excellent location and really cool renovated building. We loved the boutique hotel vibe and enjoyed the courtyard and library in the common spaces. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Beds are firm but comfortable. Place is super clean. Disagree with complaints in other reviews re noise (tram stops at 11 pm and it’s quiet after that) and small room size (they’re just fine, this is Europe!). Will definitely stay here again.

Hotel Convento do Salvador was a pleasant surprise. Located in the Alfama district, within walking distance of the historic sites, it was light and bright and clean and safe. When traveling to unfamiliar places and especially if people dont speak the native language  it can be overwhelming. The staff were.very kind, friendly and helpful. Every part of the hotel was super clean and new. I slept fitfully in my quiet room with balcony doors open for fresh air. Breakfast buffet was simple, fresh and delicious. I would stay again without hesitation.

Would not recommend or stay again. The rooms were small and the beds were horribly uncomfortable. The mattress and pillow were hard as a rock. Between that, the horrible smell, and all the noise you can hear from inside and out, I was only able to sleep a few hours/night. The amenities were also subpar. The only food offered by the hotel was breakfast. The outdoor patio is small and underwhelming. The hole in the concrete filled with dirty water is a sad excuse for a pool. The saving grace was the location to restaurants, shops and night life… although you can’t get to the front entrance of the hotel from the main street because it’s too narrow for cars to fit. You have to carry all your luggage down cobblestone hill. Thank goodness the rooms were reasonably priced because you definitely get what you paid for

The hotel is lovely. Very nicely remodeled so it is comfortable. Rooms are small but we had what we needed. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Just be forewarned, ubers stop 70 meters from the hotel entrance. It is a short but steep cobblestone walk to the main door, especially dragging luggage. I didn't give it a thought when booking but my sister sprained her ankle the day before and it was a nuisance - we managed. Taxis take you to the door.

We stayed at this lovely 3 star hotel and were so happy with our choice! It’s cosy, calm, and peaceful, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are small but very clean and perfect, especially since we spent most of our day out exploring. The bathroom was great, with a really good bathroom with an amazing shower the water pressure is exactly what you need after a long day in Lisbon! Breakfast was very decent and gave us a good start to the day. The location is another huge plus right in the Lisbon old town. For a 3-star hotel, it’s honestly such good value. We couldn’t have asked for more! Highly recommend if you’re visiting Lisbon.

I really enjoyed this lovely boutique hotel, it felt like a cool oasis after a fabulous, busy day of Lisbon. Enjoyed wee balcony in room, bed comfortable, breakfast very good. Staff friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Hotel Convento do Salvador was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to Europe last month. The property used to be a convent and has been converted into a modern hotel in the heart of the Alfama neighborhood in Lisbon. I arrived early from my cruise around 7am, and even though my room wasn't ready yet, the front desk happily stored my luggage so I could go out and explore. When the room was ready, I received a text and was pleasantly surprised to find that my bag had already been placed inside--amazing service. The room itself was small but very modern, and honestly one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Every corner was spotless--impeccable attention to detail. Breakfast was included and everything was fresh, including their freshly squeezed orange juice which was a great touch. The only small downside is that the hotel sits on a short hill, and Ubers can't access that road directly, so just be aware you'll need to walk a bit. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. If I'm ever back in Lisbon, I would definitely stay here again! Great hotel and service!

Yelp
Hidden gem in Lisbon's stunning Alfama neighbourhood. The hotel's cleanliness, comfort and service are impeccable and a very good value for money. We stayed for 1 night, mostly exploring the city by foot which was very convenient from Convento do Salvador. The extremely friendly staff ensured a flawless stay from the minute we entered the hotel until the last minute, always making sure we knew where we could find good food, or whether the taxi knows the way :) Get up early to experience breakfast in their beautiful inner garden. Breakfast comes with hot and cold dishes, including the famous pasteis de nata. Beds are comfortable and bathroom amenities sufficient for a short stay. Would definitely come back to this place given its location and service.
