Hotel Coral y Marina

We stayed at this hotel for the first time, as it had pretty decent reviews. There is a guard with a spot light that asks you questions before you enter, and it's gated as well. I'll list the pros and cons. Pros: Beautiful view of the marina, though they tried to give us a room, the same floor as the lobby, though I booked a sea view room. Thankfully they changed it when I spoke up. Staff speaks fluent English Spacious room (Jr suite) and a lovely balcony I loved having a coffee maker and a fridge Pretty Americanized if that's your thing and full of tourists You feel especially safe with the guard, who asks you to verify your info Restaurant on the premises though you have to pay for it Cons: VERY noisy rooms with paper thin walls You can hear everyone, alongside their kids walking in the hallway (floors are tile) The rooms are outdated and the carpet is dirty Very loud at night (the hold events at the hotel premises but the noise goes down past 11pm) Our TV was broken but thankfully the bedroom one worked. The lighting in the rooms is a bit dark and depressing. A remodel is much needed Nice hotel, but if want something more clean, up to date and quiet, this is not the one. If you desire security as your number one (most hotels tho have a guard) definitely consider this one

Destination worthy marina and hotel for many reasons; high quality berthing in a protected harbor (and a beautiful view for hotel guests), excellent dining options, extensive amenities on site and within walking distance, and a professionally run operation. The large marina is part of of the hotel complex so you and your guests are afforded much more than a marina. Additionally of great importance is the Marina's well known check in and check out services for easy entry into or departure from Mexico. A minimal extra service charge provides you with a translator, transport and help with the paperwork. Quite honestly, pleasure vessels are crazy if they don't clear customs in Ensenada through the help of El Coral. Even when not on a boat, this is an excellent venue for relaxation or fun times. Easy drive or shuttle into downtown Ensenada.

I struggle with rating this hotel so I will try to break it down! We chose this hotel because it was extremely baby friendly, had an amazing view, and was super safe - and we don't regret it, however the hotel was dated, service was just ok and it was noisy. 5/5- Amenities There's a restaurant and cafe on site. The grounds face the marina with an indoor / outdoor pool and spa. There is a nice gym and a kids playground as well. 5/5 - View All rooms face the marina which is nice- you can't really get a bad view here! 3/5 - Room The rooms are definitely more dated. Ours was extremely spacious and perfect for traveling with a kid though. We had the Coral deluxe king room - which had a kitchen, living area, 1.5 baths and a separate bedroom. Everything seemed clean. The floor was really uneven and the balcony was NOT safe for a toddler. The bed was just ok. 1/5 - Noise We could hear EVERYTHING from the hall. Kids running, people going down the stairs, people outside talking -etc. it was so noisy even with our noise machine and ear plugs! Thankfully people quieted down around 11. 3/5- service The staff does speak some English which helped because my Spanish isn't great. We didn't get any instructions when we checked in about parking or the hotel in general, so we had to kind of figure it out. Since the room only had 2 pillows we called down to get more and it took 3 hours (we called 3x with he first call around 7 pm and they arrived at 10pm). 5/5- Security We felt safe, there was a security guard at the entrance and we self parked in the garage. All doors had working locks. 4/5- Location This is outside the city center but there are walkable restaurants nearby! And it's easy to get in/out and closer to Valle de Guadalupe. Also nice to walk around the marina. So overall it's a mixed bag. I still think it's worth staying at, as long as you are aware of the downsides!

I love heading to ensenada for a weekend getaway and I've never stayed anywhere else because this place has met my expectations. The staff is very attentive and they definitely go out of their way to please their guests. All of the rooms face the ocean and have a balcony that allow you to enjoy those beautiful sunsets. My favorite part is the buffet, the food is authentic Mexican food. It literally tastes like my mother's cooking. My second favorite part is the pool area and their cabanas. The resort is always looking beautiful and well kept. It is not the most modern looking but it is beautiful.

Wow! We stayed at the hotel while our friends were aboard their boat in the marina. We did not expect much, but quickly fell in love with the hotel. It is not the Ritz, but was absolutely lovely and the service was top rate. We enjoyed the large breakfast buffet and the poolside food. We look forward to our next visit!

A 10 out of 10 on the Baja peninsula! Clean, comfortable, amazing and gracious service plus everyone speaks English!!! Note: this review is of a boat staying in Marina Coral (the actual marina) vs. getting a room at the hotel. From a marina perspective- this is definitely the best of the best. The slips are wide, well maintained, have good power and wired internet plus cheap mobile pump outs and seriously good security. But the bonus is you get to use the hot tub, pool, open areas plus a 10% discount for dining and 30% discount in the spa. We took a gander over to the other 2 marinas in Ensenada and it's no comparison.... Hotel Marina Coral wins hands down. Will say that the surge here is no joke- and those PacCoast storms do land- if your sails are tied tiGht, your docklines properly snubbed and your boat ready for a bit of rocking.... you will be safe & protected. We had friends who stayed in the hotel and were really happy with the rooms: especially the service, pricing and hospitality. Also: it's only like $2 to take an UBER to Ensenada or other surrounding restaurants or $13 to the Valle de Guadalupe. So well worth venturing out of the area. Overall Marina Coral hits a high note in Baja. Safe, secure and very hospitable.

Hotel Coral and Marina is honestly one of the best places I have ever stayed. I was in Ensenada BC Mexico for a week long business trip. After spending quite a few hours searching the different options I chose this one. And I chose wisely. The Tourist part of town has cruise ships coming and going almost daily. Which creates some problems if you are just trying to walk down the street through the Barkers trying to shimmy a peso out of every tourist pocket. The Coral Marina is about ten minutes taxi drive of the tourist area. I do recommend you visit this crazy area. Some great food there. Also make sure you go to the market district. Fantastic. Now that is the hustle and bustle I like. Anyway back to the hotel. Please look at my posted pictures. Wonderful view off the balcony. Living room bed room spacious bath. All combined with very sweet and helpful people. I highly recommended this hotel and a trip to Ensenada.

The staff is very friendly yet professional. They will take care of your every need. This is an excellent, 5 star hotel. Rooms are large with big comfortable bed, couch and chairs and have wonderful views. Restaurants have great food and drinks with views of ocean and marina. There is 1 pool and 3 hot tubs inside and 2 pools (one for children) and 1 hot tub outside. There are ping pong & pool tables. So much to do in town too. We lived in the marina 6 months and have gone for the best New Year's Eve party for 2 years. They do know how to celebrate!

One of my all time favorite marinas...friendly and professional. The best way to clear into and out of customs. Security guards are everywhere all the time. The docks and amenities are top notch. The hotel and accompanying restaurants are excellent. We use it as a gateway to one of the coolest cities in the world. And I haven't even mentioned the vineyards yet... it's awesome, just go you'll love it.

Nice location by the ocean as well as the views. But unfortunately the rooms are dated and the traffic noise is very loud, it was difficult to get a good nights sleep.

Hotel appears clean and food is pretty good. Rooms are a bit dated but still nice.. Rooms are A bit too pricey in the summer.. Cocktails were very good! Sunday brunch in the back patio is very nice! They smoked a lamb on a Santa Maria style grill! I would go back and recommend!

Beautiful hotel. Everything here is functional and looks good. The pool is very clean and staff is very friendly. Nice place to come to for a family or even with a gf to get away.

Lovely hotel with beautiful views and helpful staff. The room exceeded our expectations and breakfast buffet was delicious (and well beyond the typical hotel breakfast buffet).

3.5 stars. Stayed here over thanksgiving; great and friendly staff; rooms are a bit dated ( the carpet could be changed for sure) and the housekeeping crew wasn't as thorough as I would have liked (they didn't replace all the towels nor did they vacuum). Otherwise great central location : the pools, bars and restaurant onsite are good. Small cafe on site as well which was great. Plenty of parking and electric car chargers for those that need it

The Coral is arguably the premiere hostelry in the area. Very well trained and bilingual staff. We local Gringos quite enjoy the Marina Grill Bar. Outdoors with a great view of the marina. Several fire pits surrounded by comfy seats. Onsite chef and grill and the usual Coral amenities. We local Expats appreciate all this and of course try to work everything off at the health club.

Nice hotel. Room was huge! Nice balcony with great view. Restaurant was good. Many English speaking staff members.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at, hands down! The staff is amazing and nice and the rooms were beautiful. My boyfriend and I only stayed for one night and are already planning on coming back here in the near future. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the drinks were perfect. We called for extra towels and they were brought to us in less than 5 minutes! We were very impressed with our stay and we look forward to staying here again in the future
