Hotel Corona D'oro

We had a wonderful stay here. The service by all the staff was incredible, but Antonio really made our stay memorable. He knocked it out of the park with his restaurant recommendations, and his detailed knowledge of the city of Bologna helped orient us from day one and provided a great guide for our entire trip. You can’t beat the location of this hotel, especially if it’s your first time to Bologna, as it’s in the center of old town. The rooms are a little small, but honestly we didn’t mind, because the bed is SO comfortable. Plus, the beauty of the hotel and the excellent service make it a 10 out of 10. We would absolutely stay here again.

The service of the staff here was exceptional, warm, and flexible. As far as rooms go, make sure you share preferences around natural light and proximity to elevator - I really liked that the hotel staff helped me settle in. They were also very helpful in making sure I was able to get a reservation on a busy Saturday night at a local restaurant to try the town's famous lasagne alla bolognese. The breakfast spread was perhaps a little thin, but the attentiveness of the staff made up for that. Would definitely stay here again!

Location is perfect! Front desk staff and breakfast staff were very nice. Breakfast was good with many options. Rooms and common areas are run down. Stair runners and fabric furniture should be professionally cleaned, and towels and sheets need to be updated. For the price, I was surprised at the condition.

My parents and I stayed at Hotel Corona d'Oro for three nights during our most recent trip to Italy. It is very centrally located, easily walkable to Bologna's historical sites and restaurants. ||The hotel lobby and common areas are beautiful and inviting, and both the suites and rooms make for a luxurious stay. We also enjoyed breakfast in the hotel restaurant each morning. The food and service were great!||Our best memories from this already amazing stay were of the hotel's wonderful staff! We arranged for multiple excursions, asked for restaurant and sightseeing recommendations, and more. ||Each time the staff worked diligently to provide us with relevant options and book on our behalf. Their recommendations did not disappoint! And they took extra time to greet us when we entered and left the hotel each day. ||Would highly recommend!

This hotel is in a prime location in Bologne. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel atmosphere is nice - quiet when you enter from the street is busy. Our room was spacious and had a nice walk-in closet! It was clean with a nice bathroom. We did not opt in for breakfast with our rate however we did go down one morning for coffee and the selection was extensive. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! The location is great, the room was clean and comfortable, but the staff was the huge differentiator. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for during the whole stay. We so appreciated all the little things they did to make us comfortable!

Excellent hotel with friendly and very helpful staff. The gave us great recommendations for restaurants and made all our bookings. The hotel food was also very good. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable rooms. Excellent central location within easy walking distance of all major attractions.

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed warmly. The staff were extremely helpful and made wonderful recommendations. The bar was beautiful and the service was great. It was a short one night stay but will absolutely return.

If you are a horror movie fan and you love the Shining then book this place. It was scary and the staff was creepy. Terrible

The service was excellent, the breakfast was my favorite of all the hotels we stayed in Italy, but my only drawback was our room. Even though it was a honeymoon upgrade our bathroom was more luxurious than our room, I was hoping for a top floor with a view which was what I asked for, I'd like to visit bolonga again with my husband and stay longer than a night, I would def try this place again as long as fmthey can accomodate a much more larger room with windows. Location was awesome, easy to find and walking distance from everything.
