Hotel Corona D'oro

Really lovely hotel in central Bologna very close to Piazza Maggiore and the historic area - very nice atmosphere. From my arrival at the hotel to my departure i had really great time. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very comfortable and well kept. I will definitely go back.

One of the Best Hotel Experiences! Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The property is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located in the quiet center of Bologna. The service was outstanding — the staff were incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly. Upon our arrival, we were delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade. Since we were celebrating my birthday, the hotel went above and beyond by surprising us with lovely gifts in our room and offering us two free drink vouchers. Their thoughtful gestures made our holiday even more special. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and heartwarming stay in Bologna.

We had a fantastic stay. The location was great. We did have an issue with our room ( the A/C was not working properly}. The person at the front desk (I think his name was Christian) handled it immediately. The whole front desk team were fantastic. They gave us restaurant recommendations and directions. The bar staff were amazing. I'm not sure the next time we will be in Bologna, but if we were we wouldn't hesitate booking here again!

There's so much to say about this gem of a hotel perched right amongst all the sights within the walls of Bologna's old town. The location couldn't possibly be any closer to the Piazza Maggiore, and the Towers, but when you close the windows you can't hear a sound from the buzzing streets below. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. The room was spacious, and beautifully appointed and the bed is super comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the breakfast room looked very appetizing and well attended. Definitely our go-to location whenever we are next in Bologna.

This was our second visit to this hotel. The receptionists at this hotel were the nicest we met during our several trips to Bologna over the past year. We used the parking facilities which are a few minutes away and the process works just as described. The parking garage is very secure and the porter from the hotel came to help us with our bags. There were also excellent directions to reach the hotel garage. I had been concerned in advance as Bologna has lots of small narrow streets going in one direction only, but the directions supplied in advance were perfect. Do visit the restaurant and bar of the hotel. We missed it the first time around as the entrance from the hotel side is through a small door which is closed when the bar/restaurant is not open. A great hotel right in the heart of Bologna. I would certainly stay there again.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was ready on arrival an hour early; the room was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the bath was a good size for Europe. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations. The breakfast buffet was offered many foods from sweet to savory, and eggs and omelettes were available upon request. We would definitely recommend Hotel Corona d'Oro.

Perfect location to experience Bologna. Staff so sweet and helpful. Felt super safe walking around at night. Many restaurants steps away, and cute not junky souvenir type shops steps away. You feel right at home. Room for single small, but perfect. Hot pot for coffee I Room, mini bar also. Hair dryer, no iron, but I ask when Maki g reser action, was in Room when I arrived. Wish I had more days there. Absolutely fabulous

A most welcoming and lovey hotel in a great part of central Bologna. The staff are really helpful and pleasant. The rooms are well kept and very comfortable and I will most certainly be booking a further stay.

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed warmly. The staff were extremely helpful and made wonderful recommendations. The bar was beautiful and the service was great. It was a short one night stay but will absolutely return.

If you are a horror movie fan and you love the Shining then book this place. It was scary and the staff was creepy. Terrible

The service was excellent, the breakfast was my favorite of all the hotels we stayed in Italy, but my only drawback was our room. Even though it was a honeymoon upgrade our bathroom was more luxurious than our room, I was hoping for a top floor with a view which was what I asked for, I'd like to visit bolonga again with my husband and stay longer than a night, I would def try this place again as long as fmthey can accomodate a much more larger room with windows. Location was awesome, easy to find and walking distance from everything.
