Hotel Coronado

Good hotel for University purpose. Nice greenery surrounded place..tram service is excellent. Hotel staffs are very courteous, well behaved and friendly. I enjoyed various Tea and daily Apple at reception. Rooms are perfectly warmed. Balcony view is excellent. The Coop store and a Bakery shop nearby makes this place awesome. Family Stayed here twice. If I visit Zurich again, will prefer to stay here only. Thanks for wonderful service.

Convenient location, super clean, friendly staff. Take the 14 Tram right across the street. After a 20hr trip, check-in was very welcoming and informative. The room was small but didn't feel confining. As everyone mentions, the pizza place next door is worth a try. Breakfast is continental with a nice mix of offerings. Quite location but only 10min ride from Central station.

Amazing small Hotel, located very conveniently between Zurich airport and center of the city. By taking tram #10 from Zurich airport in 20 min you will get right in front of this hotel. Then if you are going to the center take tram #7 or #14 and in 10 min or less you are right in the center of Zurich. Room in this hotel are very clean and bright. Some of them small but some are spacious enough even for American traveler. Staff are Very friendly and willing to help 24/7. Breakfasts are bit expensive but it is Switzerland, everything is expensive. Hotel has free coffee and tea and water in the lobby plus some souvenirs. Stayed at this hotel 5 time and love it.

Hotel location is very nice with all public transportation, supermarket with in 100m. It is 15 mins from Zurich main station that connects to close by cities like Lucern, Bern etc. Hotel staff is very friendly, i was travelling with 4 yr old and needed hit water, they gave me a kettle for it. They also helped with day planning etc. Rooms are small and air conditioner was very noisy, rooms used a manual key instead of automatic lock.

Extremely friendly staff (borderline charming). Parking is included. Transport by tram just over the street. You're in the heart of the city in 15 minutes. Transport pass can be bought from reception. Room was cozy with AC and bath tub. Beds were nice, had a real good night's sleep. I can recommend this place, even moreso if you come by car, there are a few parking places in front of the hotel, and more behind if needed.

Rooms are tiny, but clean. There are fridges that can be used for own food, but no tea kettle. The desks barely fit a laptop. The service is super friendly, they gave me an electrical outlet adapter at no charge.

Small room, even though it's a double. Air con doesn't work and the curtains don't close fully and as we're on the main road we have light coming through. On the positive, it's clean and well equipped, handing location for the airport and city centre.

excellent hotel. location is perfect - in front of the milchbuck tram station. easy to get to the center either by tram or even better walking, about twenty minutes - gives you an opportunity to explore the city. i stayed four days and took a different route each time. breakfast is just perfect - not overstuffed but with delicious variaty of fresh fruit every morning, an option to make your eggs the way you like it with a cute personal timer you get, the breakfast room is cozy and quiet. a pleasure to start your morning like that. the rooms are impacably clean, comfortable bed. my room was facing the main street but it did bother at all and the sun in the morning was delightful. the stream in the shower was the best i had in any hotels before. the staff in the reception, all of them, were friendly, helpful around the clock. there is free coffee and tea at the lobby all day and night, as well as a basket of apples and a big jar of lemoned water. delicious. styaing in this hotel makes you feel home while you are away from home. good value for the money. will defintely recommend it to friends and will return if i come to zurich again. thank you hotel coronado.

Out of all the hotels we stayed at (this was the the most minimal of all..) And it was still really good. Free parking. Right across the street from light rail, you can be downtown Z-land in 10-minutes. There are plenty of little markets and restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. The hotel staff / manager / etc... all really, really friendly. Complimentary coffee / tea in the lobby. The room was small, but that was okay. We needed a clean bed to crash in and a shower, and it had all that. I thought the place was just fine. There aren't a lot of frills, but definitely works for a night or two.

Sitting in our room in Münich, we needed to decide on where to stay in Zürich for the night. After a quick visit to tripadvisor and then filtering on free parking and wifi this was the highest rated. The price was also right. We booked on their website which comes with a free gift of either 1 bottle of water, 1 glass of wine, 1 bottle of beer, 24 hour tram ticket or....there was another choice. We went for the tram ticket as we'd need two anyways. Also mind you that there's complimentary tea and coffee as well as one bottle of water. We arrived in Zürich fairly late but good news is that the front desk is 24 hours. The man at the front desk was quite an intriguing man. Very jolly. The parking was convenient. There were spaces right in front of the hotel as well as the back. They provided a username and password for the free wifi. The wifi was pretty responsive at the 4th floor where we were. The room was cozy. We had a full bed. The only thing was that it was cold and they provided a space heater which was nice. The trams run and you can hear it fairly lightly so if you're a light sleeper then probably might be a tad difficult to sleep but nothing that a good pair of earplugs could fix but it's definitely a light rumble. Pillows seem to be an issue for me in Europe. They love long flat pillows. Compared to the pillows in Luzerm and Münich, this was the best of the three. I'm not saying it was great. Just better. The hotel is located right off the street with the tram which means easy access to getting into the city. It took approximately 10 min to get in. Really convenient. The breakfast is an extra 15 CHF which we didn't partake in. All in all it was a great place to stay especially since we had a car and the price wasn't super exhorbitant like in the actual city.

I meant to book Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, instead I booked this Hotel Coronado in Switzerland. I called Expedia within minutes of the booking and they cancelled the reservation but said the room charge is non refundable. They called the Hotel and they refused to refund the error as well. SO I WILL NOT BE DOING BUSINESS WITH EITHER OF THEM AGAIN!
