Hotel Cortaccia Sanvitale

Extremely disappointing – would not recommend. The hotel never replied to any of my messages before arrival. There was no parking available, and we had no clear information about where to leave the car. We arrived in the evening and were forced to find another place to sleep at the last minute. This completely ruined the start of our vacation. We received no help and no refund. Also, after booking, I noticed that the room price dropped – I could have booked it later for a lower rate. The entire experience felt unprofessional and careless.

The hotel was amazing, including the location and the rooms. The staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.

No hot water the problem started in the afternoon bit we were not notified and returning to hotel at 10 pm after dinner allegedly there was a posted announcement with apologies for no hot water available till late the day after !||They could have called the customers ( we booked 3 rooms ) instead of having us discover it in the night ! Result cold shower

We arrived to a locked reception,a note pinned to a board and a so-called comfort room dominated by a running machine. When we managed to contact someone by phone we were told someone would be along 'in a minute '. Three quarters of an hour later when no one had arrived and it was getting late in the evening we had to find somewhere else. Despite the helpful intervention of Expedia the hotel lied and wanted to charge us for three days. Awful awful experience.

Highly recommended On our way to Tuscany we stayed 1 night in this hotel. The building is beautiful, the location quiet, rooms are big and clean, beds are good, so we had a good night sleep to drive the last bit to our destination. Best of all the friendly people, all who work there welcomed us with a warm smile and made it a very pleasant start of our holidays, thanks again!

We stayed one night here, the staff communicated a day before on the self check in instructions which was helpful. Room was very nice, parking was at the square and free. We had the breakfast (€7) which was nice and simple. There was also a kids room which was nice and the hotel was located next to a castle and park, so we could bring our kids there for some activities. Overall value for money and highly recommend!

I was really impressed with everything at this hotel. Exceptional value for money - €75 per night for a triple room including breakfast. ||||The room was large, everything was new and impeccably clean. The lady at reception was very friendly and check in was quick and easy. I booked via email, received written confirmation and a WhatsApp message on the morning of arrival to confirm our check-in time. ||||There were lots of clever inclusions to make for a comfortable stay - insect screens on the window, a small drinks fridge in the room, Bose sound system, free wifi and lots of (approx. 8) USB charging points in the room. Also an oversize king bed. A cool water fountain in the corridor and a 'relax' room complete with lounges, books and a few games for children too. ||||Checkout is 11am, plenty of free parking and the hotel is walking distance to an excellent pizzeria and gelateria. If you're travelling with kids there's a really impressive public playground right next door too - with a flying fox, swings, pirate ship etc etc. Lots of open space to for kids to run as well which is priceless when you're travelling and sightseeing. ||||The breakfast was excellent and caters for all tastes. A full selection of cold meats, eggs, breads and also sweet brioche, cake, cereal, yoghurt and fresh fruit salad. ||||I highly recommend staying here if you're travelling through the Parma region.
