Lovely 60s style hotel with pretty rooms with great views! We had dinner in their restaurant twice and the food and service were great. Breakfast was also very good - with many options.

After being discharged from hospital in Laredo, I recuperated at the absolutely charming Hotel Cosmopol.|Stayed for four nights, and every member of the staff could not have been more caring or helpful. |This hotel, circa 1960’s is an absolute gem. Lovely bar with cafe and outside area, and beautiful dining room. All staff are smartly attired and extremely competent.

We were walking the Camino del North, and got sick so we booked this hotel. The staff have been wonderful, even squeezing lemon juice so we could make electrolight drink. The food is really top quality also and the breakfast goes from 0630 to 1130 and has bacon, eggs, cereal, fruit, fresh OJ, cakes. This is a quaint and well run hotel, I highly recommend a stay.

The receptionist was very friendly and this was the strongest point of the Hotel. She was welcoming us every day and calling the lifts for us. This Hotel was clean but it needs a renovation in its interiors. Both Lobby Bar and Waiting Area need an urgent boost. For the price we paid per night + breakfast, Breakfast was really average and we were lacking some warm food as scrambled eggs, Spanish omelette, sausages or similar. Room views were surprising and we liked how close the beach was.

Travelling off-season has its advantages, as we hadn't booked ahead. We found the Laredo easily, it is in a residential area and the wide expanse of beach just a five minute walk away. The receptionist was very friendly and informative and we were given a room with a balcony and a view. Facing west we saw the sun setting over the hills. We were the only people for an excellent evening meal. It is worth asking for their special menu, for 20 euros, there was a 3 course meal including wine and a special digestive, reminiscent of Baileys. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was from a buffet with a wide choice. We would definitely stay there again.

We spent a few nights here before returning home on the ferry from Bilbao. Very nice hotel, but a little dated. The food and wine were very good! Either water or wine was included with the evening meal when half board. The room was clean and bed were comfy.||It was a pity the swimming pool was not clean and in use.||I would book again if in this region.

This hotel is a stones throw from the beach and is approx 1.5km from the old town. It suited me to a degree as I needed to walk along the beach the next day to catch a ferry but if I was passing through Laredo again, I'd stay elsewhere. The room did have a balcony but had no tea or coffee making facilities or fridge. The walls were VERY thin. I ate in the hotel restaurant , which I'd generally avoid doing but was sorry that I had. The staff were all fantastic but my opinion is that the hotel needs some investment in room facilities and an updated menu. I wouldn't recommend.

Stayed 2 nts as nowhere else to stay here. Lady on reception was very helpful on arrival. Very thin walls, can hear people talking and tv. ||Basic but clean rooms in need of updating, but that goes for the hotel generally. Having travelled around Spain for a few wks this is quite in need f tlc.||Evening meal we chose steak.......bad decision. More waste than what was edible.||The lovely waitress was more than happy to fill our flask with hot water.||On checkout we disputed our bill as when we checked in were quoted a price, however on checkout it was quite abit more than we expected.||We paid the higher bill but noticed the reason was that we had been quoted a price per nt WITHOUT tax........which we felt was very poor and sneaky!||Would recommend missing Laredo and this hotel.
