The hotel was recommended in a guide book, and for lack of a better option we tried to find it. It wasn't easy, because the public garden is just a tiny park at the top of the hill, and the streets farther down, where you enter the city by car, are very busy. The lady at the reception did not speak English, but we muddled through with my smattering of French, a lot of good will, and help from a colleague at the cafe. Luckily they had one free parking space behind the hotel, adjacent to an excellent restaurant (Comer e Biber), where we ate dinner.
