We used the hotel Covington for our wedding weekend! We had our rehearsal dinner in the Eva G Farris Ballroom and we had a room block for our guests to stay at hotel Covington the entire weekend!! We cannot thank hotel Covington enough! The staff during our rehearsal dinner were so attentive and the food and drinks were amazing!! Jennifer was the lead banquet manager for the night of our dinner and she was awesome! We also worked with Tory while planning our event. She was so helpful and made the entire planning process go smoothly! The hotel is beautiful, and the staff was so kind and helpful in any ways we needed! All of our out of town guests had nothing but great things to say about the hotel! We stayed over in the north section of the hotel and used two of the suits as our getting ready rooms. The hotel north section is a beautiful add on. We definitely recommend using Hotel Covington for your next event!

This is the most exquisite hotel that I have ever been too. Every single staff person that i walked by or talked to... was so polite and friendly. The room was EXTREMELY clean. It was so clean that I tried to find something wrong with the room but I was unsuccessful and finding anything wrong. The blackout curtains were very impressive not an ounce of outside light came in. The valet for car parking was very professional and prompt. Truthfully this 5 star rating is not adequate to show how perfect this hotel is. The location is perfectly situated in a nice busy downtown area with lots of things going on and to do. I am giving this hotel 10 stars 🌟. I will most definitely be back. Thanks for an amazing stay.

We stayed in the newly acquired section of the Hotel Covington (North Building) in the Loft. ||PROS: It was a beautiful room! With plenty of space. Loved that it was a Loft with the bedroom upstairs and sitting area downstairs. Although our view was a partial garage, it didn't bother us because the privacy was there during the day (when everyone went to work) and evenings (when everyone was home for the evening). Super cutely decorated. Loved that the music was on low playing in the bedroom loft. Super neat that if you watching tv from upstairs or down, it automatically shuts the other tv off for you so there isn't a conflict of noise.||Restaurant menu was delicious and loved the glass enclosed ceiling. The North side of the hotel has a dark really sexy bar on the 1st floor that can be reached from the outside. ||CONS: BE CAREFUL you do not hit your head on the metal spiral staircase that is between the bathroom and sofa. My husband has almost banged his head a few times. Love the spiral staircase but definitely a hazard for taller people.||I wish their coffee bar in the Lobby had a better selection of hot and cold beverages. There's potential there if they would just revamp it a little.

Google
The hotel is very nice. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, they helped us locate places to visit and eat at (they have them written out on little cards if you ask for them). The room was nice, but there was a bad window view. The restaurant located in the lobby is also a strong recommendation, and it helps that this hotel has that.

Google
Great location. Lots of great eats nearby. The hotel was great inside. Food amazing. When we arrived there was no valet and no one to help with bags. The parking garage is very easy to use and close. Stay here!

Google
Positive: This was one of the cleanest hotels I've ever been to and the room was totally incredible. We were able to stay in a 2br suite and I was completely blown away by how immaculate it was and how well appointed it was. My entire family loved being there! Negative: It would have been nice to have an ice maker in the suite that we had. There was a really nice fridge but it didn't have any ice in it. The staff brought us some ice very quickly.

Google
My daughter was married here and we were very disappointed in our experience! While our captain for the day was amazing, the other staff and the inflexibility we encountered was a problem! It rained the entire day and even though we booked over 40 rooms including a bridal suite and paid for the venue… she was yelled at for taking a few pictures in the bar because we didn’t pay for a photo package! We were not allowed to use an empty room to line up in because we didn’t rent it and the very overpriced tent was leaking and didn’t cover the entire venue! The response from the hotel was to hide behind rules that made no sense. Brides beware of an establishment that cares more about money than making your day a happy one!

Google
This is a nice place - clean, well maintained and comfortable. Staff is attentive. My only gripe - no microwave in the room (not sure I've ever been to a hotel w/o one) and the no fridge aside from the one full of stuff they're trying to sell to you. I get that it's aimed at selling you food from their restaurant and mini bar, but pretty lame. **Edit** I asked the front desk for a microwave and they brought one up to our room. Super thoughtful.

Yelp
Exceptional hotel experience. We chose valet since in city, and the staff was kind and helpful. Front desk experience was quick. The bar is surprisingly a lively fun environment and had a good crowd in the evening. Our room had a comfortable bed, stylish decor and was very quiet. The room darkening curtains work well and we got a sound nights sleep. The coffee bar downstairs in the morning has a free plain brewed coffee as a guest, or they can whip you up any magical concoction you want to pay for. Every detail was exceptional. The hotel is located within all g distance of quirky bookstores like hierophant and Hedge, restaurants like Epic Tacos and you could keep yourself busy without using your car.

Yelp
Covington, KY is such a cute town and just across the bridge from Cincinnati. We heard Hotel Covington was the jewel, so we decided to stay here for a friend's wedding. It did not disappoint! Beautiful lobby! Great staff and service. Our room was charming and swanky. LOVED the bathroom. There's tons of restaurants and shops along the same block, so there's no less of a good time and little to no need for ride share.

Yelp
I recently popped into Hotel Covington to purchase a RoRo's Cookie from their coffee shop. I expected a nice lobby as Hotel Covington has a nice reputation, but I was NOT ready for the vibes! The whole lounge, coffee shop, and bar area are combined into a big, beautiful space. Sophistication is as high as the tall ceilings. I would absolutely love to spend a morning getting some work done here with a hot drink from the coffee shop.

Yelp
Had such an amazing experience here. Sometimes when you book at an independent hotel, you don't know what to expect. And in the past, we've had a really poor experience booking with an independent hotel. However, from booking to check out -- this experience was 5 stars. The hotel is beautiful, the staff goes above and beyond (so friendly), the room itself was high quality (down to the little things), and the restaurant Coppins did not disappoint either. I understand why this hotels reputation is stellar. If we find ourselves in Kentucky again, we certainly will book here again. I couldn't have asked for anything more, if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Covington, please give this place a shot!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel! Room was fantastic. Definitely has an upscale feel throughout the building. Only issue was the bar service. Very disorganized and understaffed. Massive lines for 1 bar tender while 2 others did prep work right in front of all of us waiting. When I finally got my drink it was below average. Tasted like an Old Fashioned out of a bottle.

Yelp
I arrived really late for a business trip and had selected this location based on a recommendation of a co-worker. Check-in was swift and its located on the corner of an active street in downtown. The room was cozy with little touches that I appreciate such as the little box on the desk area provided a historical overview of the hotel, an affordable snack bar, and good toiletries. I had lunch in the restaurant (Coppins) the following day and the burger was great. I enjoyed the coffee bar and sitting in open area. I took several business calls and enjoyed the space. The only con I noticed was that the lightening is quite low in the hallways. However, this is likely intentional to fit the aesthetic and theme of the hotel decor. TIp: instead of using the hotel address within the Uber or Lyft app, put in the hotel name. For some reason, the address routed the driver to another location (8mins) away in a non-desirable area.

Yelp
Updating my review of Hotel Covington more than a year later to again sing its praises! I stopped in on a Wednesday morning looking to mix up my remote work location, and decided to order a vanilla latte from the lobby coffee bar. I've had good lattes before, but this latte was definitely one of the best I've ever had (and certainly the best I've had in Greater Cincinnati). Coppin's uses espresso from Carabello, which is one of my favorite local spots, but I have to say there was just something special about this particular cup of Joe. Not only was the latte phenomenal, but the service I received from Brandon went above and beyond any regular coffee order. Brandon made me feel welcome and informed, and invited me to join the "large communal office" in the lobby. Brandon was genuine and friendly, and I won't soon forget this display of hospitality. I still have yet to stay overnight in the hotel itself, but after this wonderful experience just hanging out in the lobby, I'm definitely looking into planning a staycation soon.

KJ W.

Yelp
I specifically booked Hotel Covington to eat at Coppin's Restaurant and hang out in the pretty lobby and outdoor space. When I arrived they told me everything - both restaurants, both bars, the lobby lounge and all outdoor space is booked for a private event 2 PM-12 AM. I didn't even get to see these areas much less enjoy them! A cost of $300 to be confined to my room is really unfair, and had they told me this I would not have stayed here. Lots of hotels have events but they don't take the entire hotel away from other guests. I hear they have tons of events here, so just be prepared not to be able to use any of the hotel beyond your room...and the elevator.

Yelp
We stayed at the new Hotel North. We decided to do a little staycation night across the river in Covington. I'm pretty sure we were the first people to ever stay in the room. There was some painter's tape in the bathroom and closet area. Also, when the blow dryer was running in the bathroom, the lights would flicker in the bedroom. I don't think the place is haunted, just an electrical issue but still spooky! Good thing I'm a strong guy. Also, it was weird that although the hotel was pretty empty, they placed us in a room right by a big fan blowing in the hallway. Seemingly to dry a leak? That said, the hotel is beautiful. It's very cool. The fixtures and accents in the room are sick. Clean lines. My style. The bed was super comfortable. Great blackout curtains. Great location. Very clean.

Yelp
Great brunch. Fantastic espresso martini. Great atmosphere. We enjoy dining at the bar when available.

Yelp
Great food and bar service with a cozy vibe. I cannot rate the hotel as I have never stayed but the Coppins restaurant within is a fun destination.

Yelp
I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Covington. They allow my husband to check in early to decorate my room! I had no idea! The parking was no problem...you can do velvet or self parking ...we did self parking and it was $12. They have a nice restaurant inside and also the hotel is surrounded by places you can stop and have drinks and food. The hotel is pricey (but I'm not rich sooo...lol), I did one night and it was a great experience! Staff was very friendly!

Dave R.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for my sons wedding. It was spectacular. The facility, the staff, the food, the drink the location; all of it. If you have occasion to be staying in the Cincinnati area I would recommend treating yourself to a stay here. Everything here is top shelf without top shelf pricing. This hotel is a throw back to yesteryear, which I am generally not a fan but they have captured it so well. I am sorry I didn't take photos, so go there and get your own. You will NOT be disappointed!

Yelp
I absolutely adore this place. I have not stayed at the hotel, as I am a local and go for coffee, cocktails and dining. The coffee bar has excellent coffee and baristas. The cocktails are so special and perfect. And the food...! Most recently I had the gnocchi and the faroe island salmon and both were beautiful to look at and the taste was delectable. Best salmon I've ever had. Oh, and the lobby...so classy and lovely, especially now during the holidays.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with this hotel. It's so beautiful and nice and the staff is great! It's in a super cute area and close to just about everything!! I completely recommend.

Yelp
This is a pretty nice hotel but does not seem to live up to its high rating. It has great bars and restaurant along with friendly staff but when you get to the room, it's disappointing. When I got off the elevator, I walked down a hallway with dirty, stained carpets. When I got into my room, I found a dirty bathroom that still had surprises in the toilet bowl and hair on the floor. They sent housekeeping up to clean it and even he commented on how bad it was and how sorry he was we found it like that. The bathroom sink didn't drain well, so it'd be full of water by the time I finished brushing my teeth. The sink knobs were loose and would slide around. The shower door didn't close all the way and leaked into the floor. It also had a pretty loose handle. I asked for the items to be fixed or allowed to move rooms. They fixed the slow drain but that's it. I wouldn't have paid what I did for this hotel if I knew it'd be like this. I've had cleaner accommodations at Holiday Inns.

Yelp
I would like to play the recording of the music going on now at 10 o'clock. This is kind of ridiculous. You paid $300 for hotel room actually more than $300 and you can't go to sleep in your room because the music is so loud in the lobby. I don't mind the weddings every time we come here on a Saturday but this party in the lobby with a Music so loud is unacceptable. They should tell the guests in advance, instead their solution is ear plugs!

Yelp
Came here for drinks and lite bites at the bar/restaurant called Coppin's on Saturday night. They have a very cozy and cute outdoor patio space. It's covered but the walls are open so perfect if you don't want to be inside or an enclosed tent due to COVID. They have spacious tables spaced apart with mini table heaters in the center and heat lamps to keep you warm. There is also a real wood burning fireplace in this area. They require reservations which is good as it limits the number of people that can be there. The cocktails they have are delicious and unique. They even have a winter drink menu. I tried the "Año Nuevo Nuevo Yo" which is a rich milky rum drink, and the "Snuggles by the Fire" which is a coffee flavored liqueur drink. Both were great. It was also nice and toasty at the table because of the heat lamp. The staff was so attentive and nice. They even brought out a bread basket. My friend got the roasted carrot curry with salmon which smelled delicious and she said it was wonderful. I would definitely like to come back for dinner as well as try their brunch!

Yelp
Simply wonderful! Tasteful, great location, rooms are so comfortable. Lovely staff. This solves my challenge where to stay! Worth giving up loyalty points for! Abby at the front desk is so kind and helpful. Emily was my waitress for outdoor dining: fantastic service!

Yelp
What a cool hotel! The room was not only gorgeous but plenty big for 4 adults. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Can't wait to have a reason to go stay again!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the courtyard area and the $15 restaurant credit. The location was great as well, with several walk-able restaurant options and being only about a mile away from the ballpark and Newport on the Levee. Our only complaint was that our room was a bit noisy. We could hear people outside very easily as well as people coming and going from the rooms near us. Overall a good experience though and we would stay again.

Yelp
Hotel Covington has been such a great addition and continues to serve well, even with the reopening after COVID-19. My partner and I were hesitant to go out at first, but believed that Hotel Cov would have the right measures in place, and we were absolutely right. The place looked spotless, they had amazing smelling hand sanitizer available everywhere and everything seemed compliant with the governor's requests. We sat outside and enjoyed service by our waitress, Emily. It was her first day back and she was truly amazing. She was sociably, respectful and on it. We enjoyed a lovely dinner. The summer sangria was delicious and refreshing, the salad was the MVP of the meal and we also tried the wings and salmon. The salmon was a little disappointing, a bit too salty, but otherwise it was an incredibly enjoyable meal...our first out in over three months. Will always plan to come back to Hotel Cov and the delicious Coppins.

Yelp
I have spent most of the last 20 years touring the world as a performer so I stay at a lot of hotels. Hotel Covington is without a doubt one of my favorites. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning: they approached the decor with an upscale, modern art deco take - the choices are bold and yet comforting. The bedding is luxurious and soft. The high ceilings give the room a wonderful airiness. The location is perfect for walking and exploring Covington (or Cincinnati if you don't mind a longer stroll) for its many shops and restaurants - check out Heirophany & Hedge if you want to explore something magical! Downstairs, the restaurant and coffee counter are both consistently good. The flavors are spot on and the service is always impeccable. The courtyard is gorgeous and it is a delightful way to start or end each day.

Yelp
This is a beautiful space. However, we came in late night after a show, to see the beautiful Space and maybe see a friend who works there. We we planning to have some beverages, and if possible a few apps. Three couples out on a night without kids. The staff made us feel out of place. Like we weren't wanted. I feel like in hospitality we should always be looking for winning our the customer, making them so included they would tell everyone of the experience, however the flippant attitude toward our presence was so terrible. We just left. We went down the street. Had our drink and we're happy. Just couldn't walk away from how we were treated. I have never been into a hotel were I wasn't made to feel welcome. This place was that, they made us feel completely unwelcome. Sad. Do better.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our stay here! Staff was great, rooms were incredible and had all the modern amenities. Didn't get to check out the restaurant but heard so many good things about it. I wish they had a pool but didn't have much spare time between all the wedding activities, even if they did. Location is great, next door to the event center, great bars and restaurants nearby, and down the block from Braxton Brewery. It's on the pricy side but would definitely spend a night here again!

Yelp
The bed in our room was very comfortable and we liked the added ambiance of the music playing and lights being staged upon entering. The room was lovely, stark, but striking with a modern boutique look and feel. The location is wonderful and within walking distance of The Grand Ballroom and may restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, Coppins was reserved for a private wedding and was "curtained off." What is usually a beautiful space became an awkward one for other paying guests. Hotel guests could not go to the bar for a cocktail and had to go to the basement level where a temporary bar was set up. There was water leaking from a light fixture outside of the basement hospitality room which made me wonder if it was safe to sleep in the hotel that night. (Water and electricity don't mix and can cause fires.) As we have found with some boutique hotels, form takes precedence over function. The bathroom faucets are counter intuitive, the toilet paper rolls are awkward to reach sideways and backwards for, and there is no towel rack for the hand towel. A makeup mirror was under the sink but when I opened it I found it was dirty and fingerprinted from whoever had used it last. I would have expected it would be clean, so that was disappointing. The makeup mirror wasn't useful because there was no place to set it up unless you wanted to kneel on the floor to put your makeup on. The only place with the proper height to set it up was were the bathroom mirror ledge is. It wasn't any more useful than the mirror in the bathroom was in the end. The towels have seen better days. They weren't nice fluffy towels I'd expect in this price range. Mine had a shredded edge. (I don't keep towels that are in this kind of shape. I use them as rags.) Not making this up, I'm including photos. I was disappointed, but am being generous and giving 3 stars because the bed was very comfy and I had a good nights sleep.

Yelp
My husband and I took an anniversary trip to Cincinnati and the service has been exceptional! There were certain amenities that we were unsure our stay included but the staff went ahead and made sure we had everything we needed. And the room service was wonderful, especially being able to place our breakfast order on a card outside the door. And let me tell you, I'll let the food picture just tell you all you need to know about Coppins. Yum! This is definitely the cleanest hotel I've ever been to, not to mention the most beautiful. The vintage touches throughout the building just add to the charm and elegance. We requested to be on a high floor for the view and could see the cityscape, and fireworks at Reds stadium, from our window. I will recommend this hotel to anyone who is heading to the Cincinnati/Newport area. The best place I've ever stayed! We hate to leave.

Yelp
Lovely - both times. In the past few months I've had two memorable visits to Hotel Covington. For starters, I don't know what it is about a simple free coffee token in the bedroom but it really does it for me. You can exchange the wooden chip for a cup of freshly brewed local Carabello coffee at the barista stand in the lobby. Try your best to fight off the local cronuts- yikes, I might have to cave next time. Speaking of food, that leads me to one of my other favorite features of the hotel: the eats! The in-house restaurant boast not only incredible lunch and dinner options but a breakfast menu that is worth a visit on its own. I'm still thinking of the goetta (local sausage) and French toast we enjoyed during my first visit. You'll find some fun southern ingredients on the menu like sorghum syrup and pimento cheese. This former department store converted beautifully into a hotel (I imagine it was a labor of love). You'll find a mini gift shop at the entry, valet stand (affordable for only $12 over night) and a bar with lounge areas on the lower level. The rooms feature velvet headboards, cool colors and tile...and, if you're lucky, a killer view of the Cincinnati skyline. Both visits have been around $130-$150/night with taxes for a weeknight. Hoping to one day plan a leisure visit with my partner-in-crime. My only complaint would be that they don't currently offer a loyalty program-- ideal for frequent visitors/biz travel

Yelp
Coppin's has a very good thing going for them: they know what air conditioning is. My friend and I walked into Wabi Sabi and Agave & Rye only to find patrons dealing with the sweltering indoor heat. We do not do well in such conditions. After exiting A&R, he recommended taking a stroll into Hotel Covington because they had to have air conditioning. Right? Right. It was such a relief to come into a building that had the AC cranked up properly. It's 95 degrees outside people! After taking a moment to breathe and enjoy the automated breeze, we noticed how beautiful this place was. Coppin's has been on my brunch radar but it hadn't quite made it up the list yet for possible dinner options. The first floor is an open layout with check in to your right and the restaurant further back to your left. The host stand is plopped center to the first archway that'll take you onto their patio. They were quite busy on a Thursday night - I don't know their occupancy, but I saw a rehearsal dinner and many businesspeople enjoying an after work cocktail. They also had a wonderfully talented woman playing the piano and singing. We were able to snag a seat inside and fully bask in the AC. Our server took awhile to come over and wasn't particularly attentive. I don't believe it was necessarily his fault because there was a large cocktail party seated the opposite side of us, but a small annoyance when your drink runs empty and you're ready to order. My friend started with a glass of rose and I had their house horse brew. It's an Amber ale specifically made for them by Braxton. I love local and speciality beers so this was a win-win for me. The beer went down smooth and I would easily come back just to have a pint. I don't know if it's because we were technically sat at the lounge, but everything on the menu had an alcohol pairing option underneath the name. We both decided on their burger (it was the 'proper' pair for my beer), which comes with cheese, lettuce, special sauce & bacon jam. I opted to switch my side to their Parmesan garlic tater tots with spicy mayo. I'm not typically the biggest fan of tots but the option of parm garlic & spicy mayo was too much to pass up. You can substitute any of their sides on their menu for the fries. Our burgers came out soon after and it was much larger than I was anticipating. I had trouble finishing it all! I could tell it was quality beef, but my burger leaned more toward medium than medium rare. I didn't mind as it was still very juicy and flavorful. I REALLY liked the tots! They were definitely homemade and not those awful Ore-Ida mush things you get from the bags. The spicy mayo lived up to its name and had a hefty kick from what I think was a mixture of hot sauce and sriracha. I think I'd probably get the burger again without the bacon jam and add spicy mayo to better suit my preferences, but it was all tasty nonetheless. I will definitely be heading back to Coppin's, either for brunch or another round of dinner. They had a lot of small plate options that sounded appealing for happy hour. Also, they have air conditioning. I love air conditioning.

Yelp
This is a hot venue so we did have to book in January 2022 for our September 2023 wedding. Cheyenne was on top of all the details and made me feel secure throughout the planning process about the status of our event. Although there were still a lot of pieces we had to coordinate ourselves, Cheyenne was regularly checking in, staying up to date on our plans, and giving helpful recommendations as we went along. Our only two bumps we hit were with the timeline for our day and the ballroom itself. When booking the event our ceremony was booked for 5pm-6pm and our reception was booked for 7pm-12am. When booking I had asked what would happen with the hour in between and was told it would be a cocktail hour so I thought nothing of it. When we were about a month out from the event Cheyenne reached out to let us know that it was a mistake and asked if we wanted to bump our reception up. Since we had already printed and sent invitation showing the end time as midnight we were not wanting to do this. Thankfully, Cheyenne and the event team were willing to work with us to make it right and extended our reception to be 6pm-12am at no additional cost to us. The other bump was that in the year and a half between booking the venue and our event, renovations were done to The Crystal that we were not notified of. I discovered them when we went for our food tasting and we saw the room for the first time since booking. The room is almost fully mirrored and they had applied an antique glass effect to them that I really disliked. There wasn't anything we could do about this with the event being less than 2 months out and the other reception spaces being booked. This was disappointing, but ultimately on the day of just didn't matter at all. I only wish we had been given a heads up at the time of renovations so that we could have pivoted plans to a space that was more our aesthetic and vibe. Our ceremony was held on The Lawn at Hotel Covington. I can't say for certain, but I think there were at least two other weddings happening at the venue on our date. Initially this made me nervous, but you could hardly tell. Our party wasn't interrupted at all! The Lawn is absolutely stunning and was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony! It was also a fun bonus that my room in the hotel overlooked The Lawn. As I was getting ready throughout the day I could look out and see the florists progress, I could see our guests arrive, and I could watch my husband process down the aisle with his parents. I'll also note that the hotel is pet friendly which was amazing! We had our dog in our wedding and she was able to stay overnight with us. It was super convenient to have her participate in our ceremony, and then to be able to drop her off up in our hotel room before heading over to the reception! Our reception was in The Crystal Ballroom. It was nice to be right on the first floor and the space comfortably held our ~150 guest wedding with room to spare! I only wish the tables had been more spread out and spread further back towards the entrance of the room. They felt very cramped together which seemed unnecessary given all the space that was open at the end of the room. The price tag looks steep at first glance, it ended up being on par with other more venues we looked at once you factored in caterer, bar services, decor rentals, tables/chairs, and linens. I highly recommend for couples looking to have a smoother planning experience with less moving parts from outside vendors.

Yelp
I like this place. I mean I really, really, like it. I've had the pleasure of visiting Coppin's, inside the beautiful Hotel Covington, on a couple different occasions. Each experience has been very special. From the charming ambiance to the beautiful décor, you can notice the attention to detail the moment you walk through the HC lobby. The restaurant consists of a long, chic bar and atrium seating with a glass ceiling that allows an amazing amount light into the space. The attention to detail theme continues in their food and drink options as well. I love the consistency. I've enjoyed a drink at the bar as well as brunch and both visits were fabulous. I'm a sucker for a good old fashioned and the one I had the pleasure of drinking here definitely caught my attention. It was strong and flavorful. I would one hundred percent order this again and suggest that you do the same. When it comes to brunch, the coffee was everything I needed in the morning after a long day and late night of work the day before. I can speak highly of their avocado toast with poached eggs and certainly recommend it. It's very citrusy and refreshing. The salad on top gives it a great crunch of texture. To top it all off, their staff is attentive and helpful. They are always eager to refill your water or get you whatever you may need. The restrooms are also extremely clean. Heck, I'll appreciate a hand towel over a paper towel any day. Overall, this is a great spot for a date, family dinner, special occasion, girls brunch, etc. I'm excited for yet another stay at HC and more delicious dining experiences at Coppin's.

Yelp
Boy oh boy this is a gem. Bold statement alert, but this may be the best version of eggs Benedict I've ever had. SO flavorful and delicious. Second time here, with full intention of trying something new, but was suckered into ordering this again. Wasn't disappointed! A friend and I also split the Oreilles De Cochon. Amazing!! Definitely a must try for those who love or haven't tried goetta. Or if you're looking for something sweet. Outside of the food, the atmosphere is what you would describe as instagramable. It's the perfect place for photo ops. There was a wedding setup and bridal shower going on on the patio and in a side room, so definitely a popular place for group events. Street parking or a garage next door are best. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
If you are looking for a more elevated setting to enjoy a quiet dinner this is "the spot" in the Covington area. We enjoyed celebrating my birthday with friends in the dining room. The dinner menu was not extensive, but had a choice from the popular categories (fish, steak, salad, etc). The bar selection was more extensive than the food. Price ranges are high average, with a drink you can plan to spend $40-$50/person. Given the selection and price point I wouldn't recommend dining with young children, although there may be a children's menu we weren't provided. The patio, due to weather conditions, was not open. It is a beautiful area and we will definitely visit again to enjoy the outside seating.

Yelp
Food is good, service was good I really like the atmosphere, I'm not a fan of the wine but the mimosas are outstanding.

Yelp
Hotel Covington was recently named the best hotel in Kentucky (and 21C best in Ohio, by the way) so I knew I had to get to Coppin's quick to see what all of the brunch hype was about. The only way I can describe the experience is this: it makes me feel like every other five star review I have ever written should have a star deducted. It's that good! I got the spinach/mushroom omelette with the berry bowl. Have you ever gotten a dish and it looked like every individual berry was hand selected and photo-finish placed? It was absolute perfection. The newly renovated space is fantastic. It maintains a bit of grungy character with a fancy, modern update. There is so much natural light in their brunch patio. I cannot explain it but the space just seethes a quiet, serene aura that makes you feel like you're anywhere but Covington. Get here. It might have been a secret before, but it certainly won't be now - it's #1 in Kentucky for a reason!

Yelp
You will be tempted to get something fancier on the menu, but I am telling you that the burger and beef fat fries are to die for!! Everything on the menu is good, but the fries are just amazing. We also had the brocollini. Which was char grilled and actually pretty spicy. We liked it!

Yelp
I've not stayed at Hotel Covington. This review is for brunch at the restaurant inside - Coppin's. This is one of my favorite brunch spots in the city. I had 2 girlfriends in town and we had brunch to celebrate their birthdays. I was easily able to get a sat afternoon reservation. There was amble street parking and we were seated right away. The menu is smaller but I think it gives a good variety. I had pancakes, one friend had the breakfast burger and another had eggs and bacon. Everything was amazing! We had several rounds of mimosas but the breakfast potatoes were the stars of the show. Awesome food and service. Highly recommend for brunch.

Yelp
Came to Coppins for brunch on a Saturday - we made reservations ahead of time for the 6 of us which I highly recommend. We were seated right away and were able to take in some of the atmosphere before ordering because this place is BEAUTIFUL. I ordered a coffee to start and then the Roebling Benedict ($15) and a side of the Chicken Sausage ($5) for my actual meal. Our waitress brought over my coffee originally very fast, but unfortunately was very slow to refill - I found myself sitting with an empty coffee cup for most of breakfast. Our food came in a timely manner, however my friend who ordered the Shrimp & Grits ($13) said her shrimp were cold. Positively, my other friends got the Mimosa Bucket and said the orange juice was some of the freshest they've ever had! Overall I think we all thought the food tasted good, I enjoyed my eggs Benedict and the chicken sausage, even tried some breakfast potatoes from a friend and they were tasty too. And the pancakes (HUGE) and the egg side were also apparently delicious and the portions larger than expected too! Unfortunately checking out took FOREVER - we sat for a long time waiting for the waitress to take our checks and credit cards and then an even longer time waiting for her to come back with them after swiping - she also miss-swiped some of our cards and charged us incorrectly (friend noticed via phone banking app) but thankfully she realized before returning back to the table and reversed the charges. Definitely want to come back and give this place another try after all the positive reviews I had heard before, just nervous because it wasn't even that crowded on Saturday so can't really picture what a more crowded atmosphere may be like. Ratings on the Morgan Scale: Overall Experience: 6/10 Food Price: 6/10 Drink Price: 6/10

Yelp
The hotel is a modern gem in the middle of Covington. Really beautiful. We came for brunch at Coppin's and were impressed bu how beautiful this place is and food was really good. We started with the Tots, the were done really different: they are layers of potatoes with cheese in between and then cut into squares. Then we had the Roebling Benedict and the Meats Omelette: The Benedicts were beautifully presented with local goetta from Covington; the omelette on the other side was overcooked, and not what we were expecting, but the potatoes on the side were perfect. We also had the English Breakfast Tea, it was made with real tea leaves and served on a custom made cup holder. Probably the best English Breakfast Tea I've had in a restaurant.

Yelp
Coppins restaurant is located in Hotel Covington. It's just as up to par at the hotel! The food was savory and portion sizes guarantee you'll have some to take with you. The staff is super friendly and great at advice if you're torn between food selections. The ambiance is perfect for dates or brunch with friends. The bar is also a perfect for meetups or drinks. And the ambiance is gorgeous! If the courtyard is open you'll love it out there.

Yelp
We live in West Chester (Cincinnati) and were invited to a wedding here. We took the opportunity to stay at this boutique-ish hotel. Our room was just lovely. The ceilings are high and the long curtains and wall colors are rich (think deep reds, purples, and blues). The bedding is comfortable, although the pillows are way too squishy. I was glad there were four pillows on each bed, because I used all of them for support. The bathroom was roomy and modern. There was no make-up mirror, which is unfortunate for us 50+ year-olds. There are a lot of weddings at this hotel and I'm sure most patrons would appreciate one. The lobby is inviting and has plenty of seating, but it is very loud. We could hardly hear to check in, and it stayed loud throughout the night and at brunch the next morning. The energy is good though, and we would stay again for another event. If you are visiting the cute area of Covington, this is your hotel. It is close to everything.

Yelp
Coppin's in the Hotel Covington is a lovely place to relax and have a glass of wine. This bar is very contemporary and the bartenders are very friendly. You feel like you could stay all night. We ate here for restaurant week and the food was spectacular. My friend and I ordered corn and jalapeño hush puppies. Omg what a combination then bbq shrimp and grits. Enough said there a little piece of heaven. For dessert the beignets New Orleans here we come Overall a successful night with great food and company

Yelp
We really enjoyed our weekend stay at Hotel Covington! The highlights: -THE BRUNCH. It was incredible. -The patio. The courtyard patio is so nice and cozy. -The style. I loved the modern style of the hotel and it smelled lovely also. -The shower was probably one of the nicest I have seen at a hotel. -Good COVID precautions -Location. Lots of good things in walking distance! I'm sure the suites are wonderful, but we could only spring for a standard king room, and the biggest con for me was that it was quite a bit smaller than other standard hotel rooms I have stayed in. We also had very poor service when we dined outside for dinner, but maybe it was just a busy or understaffed night because we had great brunch service. I would definitely go back if I were splurging on a suite, not sure if I'd stay in a standard room again though. And I'd definitely go back for a good brunch next time I'm in NKY.

Yelp
My husband and I just stayed here on our wedding night in the Roebling Suite. It was amazing. The room was HUGE!! That was probably the comfiest bed I have ever slept in and the robes in the room were awesome. We absolutely loved it.

Yelp
We stayed at North, the new area of Hotel Covington. Customer service and food at Coppins was excellent. The room was clean and the decor was beautiful. However and unfortunately, functionality was lacking. Specifically, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, lumpy, and hard, leaving us with little to no sleep and having to check out 1 night early. Also, the bathroom had no fan.

Yelp
Con Inconsistent service. They were all friendly, but most were pretty flighty. Sometimes they were there when you needed them and sometimes they'd just disappear. They would also forget drinks or to-go boxes (when I asked a second time, I suddenly had tow different people bring me boxes after someone had finally simply taken my plate back to the kitchen to have it boxed there). Also, parking. I got really lucky and found one free parking space! But otherwise you'd have to find a meter or pay $5 at the garage. And from what I was told they only validate parking if you're a guest. Pro Decent food. By far, the fries were my favorite part of my meal. The inside was soft and SUPER flavorful. The outside was perfectly crunchy. My burger was decent. I was bummed that I really couldn't taste the bacon jam....I mostly tasted a spicy mayo it had. Good. But not what I'd been looking forward to. Also, they had a seasonal sweet potato fritter. The texture was AWESOME - comparable to a funnel cake with a really nice chew. But they totally relied on the maple syrup sauce as far as flavor goes.

Yelp
Great old historical hotel almost exactly halfway to my destination Great food and soft bed
