Hotel CRAM (Barcelona, Catalonia) 12 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Architecturally-minded visitors to Barcelona can’t help but have high expectations these days — it seems every building is either an ultra-modern masterpiece or a centuries-old treasure. These expectations are more than satisfied by Hotel CRAM, a bit of both worlds: a tour de force of modern interior architecture behind an elegant 19th-century facade." - Tablet Hotels

Excellent location and neighbourhood. The staff was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and the general service was attentive and professional. The bar and pool on the rooftop offered an amazing view of Barcelona. There were a few aspects that could be improved. The bathroom door didn’t fully close, which meant that any noise from inside carried straight into the room—something that impacted the sense of privacy. The soundproofing in general wasn’t great; we could hear conversations from the hallway. We also struggled with the room setup. The electric socket next to the bed was hidden , and we only discovered it on our last day. The light switches were another small frustration—the controls weren't intuitive, and pressing a button lit up a random lamp. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was positive thanks to the location and service. A few thoughtful adjustments could really elevate the comfort of the stay.

Reception staff lovely. First impressions were good but the Hotel let itself down by lack of staff up in the roof bar on the Saturday night! One lady only behind bar and doing cooking as well? We rang the bell that was on bar but no response. We spoke to reception who basically told us it was Management who set this? Not what you expect for a 4 star Hotel? We were on 2nd floor, our room was lovely, bed very comfy but window small and in corner of room so ventilation poor. See through door into toilet/shower area so rather off putting if partner sat on loo! Only had one very tiny pedal bin in there and not big enough and no other bin in bedroom. Did not like the fact hair dryer was not free to use in our bedroom and could only use in bathroom near the sink and water, not very safe! Rather strong smell of Cannabis at times outside our room and when we had to open the window. Would we come back? Sadly not, sorry.

With so many hotels to choose from, it can be an overwhelming process to find the best place for the best experience in Barcelona. Hotel Cram was truly a lovely experience. From check in to check out, the staff was professional and truly delightful. The rooftop pool was perfect for a midday cooldown before heading back out for evening excursions. The rooms were replenished with fresh towels daily and the linens were turned over mid trip. Design and aesthetics of the interior are minimalistic yet warm and inviting. And on top of all that, the location was primo. We loved being a part of the city but not in the middle of it all. Many shops and cafes were a stroll away and metro lines were convenient. If you’re having a hard time deciding on a hotel for your visit, choose Cram :)

Just returned from a brilliant stay in a deluxe room!|Hotel staff were all very helpful, kind and attentive leaving me feeling well cared for|Room was perfect, very clean and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in|Lovely bathroom with spacious rainfall shower and Rituals toiletries|Window was small with a view to the rear, this may seem like a negative however for me far from it - small meant there wasn't too much direct sunlight meaning the room wasn't too hot. And I liked the view to the rear as it looked out over other apartments which I found interesting|After all I knew what the front facing views were like from approaching the hotel and there would be more traffic noise there|Was a little apprehensive to be told the air con in the room wasn't working by the guy who showed me to my room however turns out he actually meant it wouldn't go below 19 degrees|Given it was 34 outside this might seem like an issue however I found the room cooled down perfectly to allow me to sleep well|Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family

Google
Great location, friendly service, cruddy rooms. Circular bathroom cuts into room space. No shower door, no latching bathroom door, and no closet. The room safe in a cabinet on the floor requires you to get on hands and knees to open. Room is full of unlabeled mystery buttons to control the lights - just press all of them until something happens. Best of all is the single usable outlet in each room. Better bring an outlet splitter or a multi outlet charger if you own more than one device or are sharing the room.

Absolutely loved this place and can't wait to visit again. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very classy and functional with an amazing rooftop bar with views all over the city which was amazing day and night. 5 STAR.

Google
Disappointing for €160 per night This hotel claims to be 4-star, but the reality is far from it. The room had a broken mirror by the bed and glass shelves with chipped edges—I even cut myself. The furniture was scratched and worn out, and the bathroom had a glass door, making the toilet completely visible—zero privacy. The comfort level was also disappointing: no kettle or coffee machine, and the bathroom was dirty, with broken tiles and holes in the ceiling. Overall, the room felt unkempt and nowhere near the promised standard. At best, this is a 2-3 star hotel, not 4. The price is absolutely unjustified. Not recommended.

I wouldn’t tell someone not to stay here but I wouldn’t strongly recommend it. We had a fine stay, but the ventilation issues in the room made us so uncomfortable that it impacted our experience. ||Pros:|-The staff were all incredibly nice. |-The location is quite good for both business I had as well as getting to see some of Barcelona easily. |-breakfast and rooftop bar are a nice area, albeit small.||Cons:|-Our major issue was with temperature and lack of ventilation in the room. The bathroom smelled incredibly musty and there was no fan. -There were other minor things that impacted our experience, including a very late and slow check-in. |-room is quite dark, we actually planned our last day so that we could stop at the hotel to pack while there was daylight as it would be too hard to do in the evening given how dark the room is.

Yelp
We have stayed here twice, and both visits were excellent in all areas. PROS: Rooms are clean and quiet; air conditioning works wonderfully; beds are very comfortable; staff are very friendly and accommodating; comfortable rooftop lounge/pool/seating area; quiet neighborhood, yet walking distance from excellent restaurants, cafes and bakeries CONS: the price of a cocktail at the rooftop lounge is a little stunning . . . Hotel Cram does it right. We'll be back . . . Cheers! RS

Yelp
Love this hotel. Stayed here twice during our stay in Barcelona and couldn't have been happier. Ultra modern, fantastic staff and very well priced. Centrally located. Do yourself a favor and stay here. And if you have to take a break from tapas (after 9 days, I needed one) there is an AMAZING Sicilian restaurant around the corner called Origano. Tiny little place. Owner is also the host. I can't recommend enough.

Yelp
It was really fun to stay here. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They gave us a great restaurant recommendation (the Teleferic a few blocks away) and were available for all our questions. The room was clean and comfortable. Great neighborhood walking distance/metro/short cab ride to lots of attractions. The room wasn't as sound proof/smell proof as we would have liked (we could smell marijuana everyday and could hear our neighbors talking) but it's a big city hotel, so it wasn't too surprising.

Yelp
Amazing stay! Super friendly and helpful staff-comfy beds-short walk to Metro-we used the pool daily for a cool off then nap time cocktail before heading out nightly. Tons to see and do nearby, we only smelled faint whiff of pot one night as we are from Cali it honestly was so faint and quickly dissipated no issue. Street noise became non issue as if you do Barcelona right you will crash hard nightly! We will return for sure!!!

Yelp
Starting to realize that 4 star hotel in Europe = 3/3.5 stars by American standards. Hotel is a short walk to the train and las ramblas, museums etc.. It is in a residential neighborhood so if you prefer to do the local thing this is perfect as all the shops and restaurants around you are all game. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the rooms were chic but small and Require Bette maintenance. Our a/c did not work for two days leaving our room 28 to 32 degrees. It was atrocious and when we finally decided to say something (my hubby hates complaining) they swapped us to a different room that was smaller than what we paid for but we agreed as long as the air was working . The room was colder but things were broken and falling a a part in that room. We didn't get too check the pool as we would spend most of our day out and about and get back too late (closes at 8). And the bar was pretty dead most nights and over priced. Overall if you get a good deal on the price (less than 100) I would say it is a steal. More than that you will be disappointed likely.

Yelp
One of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip to Spain. The hotel and the rooms are very modern and comfortable. All the staff spoke fluent English and were friendly and helpful. You couldn't ask for a better location. Hotel Cram is walking distance to most anything you would want. There's tons of restaurants, bars, shops, convenient stores all around it. There's even a laundromat around the block which really came in handy. The best part is is that it's only a 10 minute walk to Plaça de Catalunya which is the central hub of Barcelona. There you will find all sorts of shopping from high end to mid level, tons of restaurants and cafes, and is also the spot where you catch all of the bus tours. The top of Hotel Cram has an awesome terrace that overlooks the Barcelona coast and surrounding mountains. The terrace is open 24 hours and the bar there closes at 1AM. It's a great place to have a drink and unwind from sightseeing all day. This place isn't cheap but it's well worth the stay if you can swing the cost. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Nice hotel, service is quite good. Most staff are friendly except the older guy who works evenings is questionable. The pool is too small plus no real room to tan. If you are having a pool area make sure there are enough tanning beds to relax on. Overall the experience was very good. The room is large and comfortable

Yelp
Stayed here last minute after a flight was cancelled.Must say, we were a group of 5 and they were able to provide three rooms after midnight at a very competitve price.Room was modern and clean however the bed was a bit hard. Decent location and moderate noise from the street heard in the room.

Yelp
this is a boutique hotel, very stylish, funky reception and bar area. cocktail bar very relaxing. room was fab, same stylish decor, walk in shower and all mod cons included. ten minute walk from main street cafe area, easy walk to ramblas and beach areas. local area had some lovely little tapas bars, all in all a great find
