Horrible experience.||First, the peculiar: The Cold buffet part of the breakfast was served in an unheated area. One day when it was -4 °C , 25°F, the fruit was partially frozen. The next day, there was no fruit. The cold buffet consisted of many different fish concoctions and salads, grilled vegetables, and raw vegetables. There was also some bland cheeses, and yoghurt. We ended up bringing our own Davoser Bergkäse to breakfast. The hot buffet was thankfully in a heated area, and consisted of meatless lasagna, meatless pasta-bake, scrambled eggs, and a chili-hot and garlic strong shakshuka. There was bread, a toaster, and sometimes some mini wraps. It was overall fine, and we learned to dress warmly to visit the (very) cold buffet.||Now, the bad: The front desk person spoke rudely to my husband, was irritable and snappy, and was wholly unhelpful. It was most unpleasant, and I was shocked, to tell the truth. Astonished at how such a character is allowed to have a customer facing position. This is why the rating is a '1'. ||The room (middle category) was pedestrian with not even a coffeemaker, but had desk space to work at, and a chair and table to relax in. Bathroom was basic but had good water pressure and hot water in the shower.||Overall verdict: Avoid at all cost, unless you take pleasure in being poorly treated.|

The food was outstanding good, rooms are very clean. Location is great. Service is top notch. I highly recommend staying here if you want a kosher vacation. Looking forward to return.

The rooms are nice and spacious, have where to put down luggages but no AC so when we left for a full day we got back to smelly room, as well as bathroom has a terrible odor.. and the bathtub is so high I can barely get in and out. No outlets next to beds. Doors don’t lock automatically you need to take a key wherever you go! For kosher food I would definitely book again but for the high bathtub, no AC, smelly room/bathroom I’ll have to think twice!!

Really good service from the staff throughout our stay. They were very friendly and spoke excellent French, English and German (of course!). The ski shuttle bus was outstanding as we called and then they picked us up within 15 minutes. The breakfast buffet was really good with plenty of hot and cold choices. The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. There is also a pool. The hotel is located within a few minutes' walk from several restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife for the purpose of cross-country skiing. Due to the very close proximity of the cross-country centre, this hotel is almost a ski-in/ ski-out hotel from a cross-country standpoint, which of course is good.||||The hotel is orderly and clean and standards generally appear to be high. Our room was of a medium size with a modern well-maintained bathroom. Despite being at the front of the hotel and near to the road, there were no issues with noise.||||There is a swimming pool and sauna in the basement. The facilities are not super-fancy, but nonetheless are well-maintained, while the swimming pool is a surprisingly good size and also warm.||||Food at the hotel on the half-board plan was of a relatively high quality and was varied and plentiful. Service during the evening was not as orderly as it could have been, with staff at times seeming unsure as to whether a colleague had served us. That said, service was generally prompt and we were never waiting for food for an excessive length of time. Breakfast was varied and plentiful in a buffet style.||||I would certainly stay at this hotel again in the future.

Whilst everything is clean and tidy, the place could do with a revamp - as is typical for many of the Davos hotels. The Cresta Sun is located near railroad tracks and somewhat removed - not exactly within easy walking distance from shops, restaurants, bars, the train station and from cable cars and ski-lifts (especially if you are with children and/or carrying ski equipment). This said, the hotel offers a shuttle service and there is a bus stop nearby. As for amenities, parking-spaces are scarce and the pool and sauna are a bit shabby. The restaurant is well run by friendly staff and meals are okay, even though the chef is not very creative. All in all, as it stands, the place deffinitely doesn't meet 4-star quality standards and, as such, staying here is rather expensive.
