Clean, peace and love. I book this hotel through British Airways for 4 nights + flights was a very good deal, from pictures I didn’t expected much. Actually for a good deal 5 days break you can’t expected much. But…. Surprise!! Starting with stuff at the entrance which are very helpful and polite going through the hotel who actually smell nice, unexpected clean room and toilet, believe me, I was in many hotels but for the money I paid this was unbelievable. Clean and quiet, kindness and reverence I received from this hotel. They even have a baggage storage if your flight is late, very helpful, pool outside and rooftop ambiance with surprise… some gym things. Thank you everyone, you made my stay a little paradise.

I try to reserve the 5 marks for mind blowing experiences. This place came damn close. Wife and I took a very quick weekend trip to get away from the kids and relax in Miami Beach. Found a good deal here so we booked it. Did not regret it! Everything is well maintained from lobby to room. Check in was easy and was able to get in before 3 after we called to see. Lobby well maintained. Staff was fantastic. Room was nice and clean. Access to everything is spot on with a CVS 2 minute walk away. Beach and boardwalk 2 minute walk. Trolley stop right across the street. Bike rental station (highly recommended) one block away. Free beach towel loaners available at the desk. Fantastic and relaxing rooftop with lounge chairs. We were able to check our bags after check out so we can do things before our late evening flight. Downsides (please note these were far from deal breakers) Soap dried out my skin. Walls are thin so you can hear people pee and shower above you, but weirdly did not hear talking or TV. Only hallway talking. Restaurant is nice for drinks but very expensive. ($10 margaritas) Food is fine, but better elsewhere. All in all we will not think twice heading back here when in Miami

It was a great experience that I booked for several days in this beautiful and wonderful hotel. If I could, I would give it 10 stars. It is a beautiful hotel and its location is very close to the beach. Its distinctive fragrant smell is like perfume. Oh my God, I loved the nice smell of this hotel. The cleanliness is 100%. The elevator is clean and smells good. The rooms are very clean, the bed is comfortable, and the room refrigerator is amazing. I have never seen a refrigerator like it in any hotel before. It works well and cools food quickly and looks beautiful. The bathroom is clean and modern. There is no shortage in the hotel or the rooms. The rooftop is beautiful with comfortable decor. I was lucky to get a room next to the rooftop. It has trees and a small garden and overlooks the street, the lights, and the sea. As for the reception staff, they were amazing. Honestly, they were wonderful and worked very quickly to solve the problem and served the customer before he even asked. They were quick to respond to any help or question. They were really extraordinary people in dealing and helping. I would like to send a message to the hotel management and tell them that you are lucky to have these employees and I am happy that I dealt with nice people. All the employees there, whether at the reception or those who clean the hotel, are all nice. They are very cheerful and respectful and always welcome us. It is a perfect hotel in every way. My family and I were lucky to stay in this hotel and I will visit you again and take the same room because I loved it 😁

Google
Positive: The location is perfect. The roof is lovely. The happy hour perk is a nice touch. I'd recommend the hotel if not for the funky smell in the rooms and if the front desk staff actually showed an interest in solving issues and making your stay better. Negative: The room smelled funky with the strong odor coming from the bathroom. Not sure if this is a 3rd floor issue or a room specific issue. Either way, its unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. The front desk staff are not responsive to requests or concerns.

Google
This place is so thoughtfully designed, both functionally and aesthetically. I really wanted somewhere tranquil and this was exactly it. I appreciated the double door to block out hallway noises (I had a room near the elevators). The room was very clean and comfortable. Every area of the hotel is pleasing to look at and makes for a lovely experience.

Google
Hotel is so pretty, location is best of the best literally 3 mins walking from the beach. It smells amazing everywhere in the hotel, staff are the nicest people i've met, so helpful so quick with their service and everybody is polite. They provided free snacks and drinks in our room. So clean and the rooftop has a gorgeous view, ughh i couldn't recommend it enough, 10/10.

Google
We had an excellent time at the Hotel Croydon! The location is great! Super quiet area, nice to get away from crowded south beach. The staff had great attention to detail! The rooms were spotless, bathrooms were beautiful, beds very comfortable, they had beach towels and chairs, and free happy hour from 5-8. The rooftop was awesome! We also had a massage at the spa that was amazing! The Tavern was a yummy restaurant as well very convenient! just book it! we will definitely be back!

Google
I loved this hotel! The room is beautiful and spotless. Mini fridge is well stocked and all you need is available in the room. Staff is friendly and attentive. I love the vintage feel of this hotel with wonderful architectural style, wood molding and classic style detailing. It’s a warm feeling hotel which is a nice feeling (not modern and sterile). Well laid out, spacious room and beautiful roomy bathroom. I would happily come again another time!

Yelp
I stayed for a couple of nights at the Hotel Croydon when visiting Miami Beach. This boutique hotel was cute. The room was on the smaller side, which was not an issue for me. Everything was clean. There was lots to like: + The location was excellent on Miami Beach. Close to ocean. Near the bus line. Easy to get to South Beach. + The price (off season) was good. + The hotel is overall cute and everything was clean. + Two rooftop areas are nice for hanging out. + Shower pressure was good and the water was hot. For me there were a couple of things I did not like: - There really was nowhere to work (not their fault). - The biggest negative was they advertised a fitness area, but I would not call it that. I ended up just running.

Yelp
It's clean and well-kept and quiet right by the bicycle rentals and close to a 24hour CVS and safe and a block from the beach flatly (as someone who's traveled all over the world) one of the best hotel experiences this kid has ever had. (there is a resort fee and every place in Miami Beach in this price range has added fees, but the value is still stupendous) Beyond that, what makes it is their amazing hospitality. Carlos and Victor and Noah and Diana and Lia and Zair and the rest of their amazing crew (including the efficient housekeepers and maintenance folks) were always welcoming and genuinely kind. If it meant getting extra towels or recommending the best places to eat or getting you flip-flops, they always went above and beyond and beyond. Thanks y'all so much!

Yelp
Great location, great views and very clean! Across the street from the beach and within walking distance of many great restaurants! The reason for the four star rating is there was some confusion at check-in over payment. I don't want to be overcharged as this was already pre-paid. The pool is quite dirty and needs to be cleaned, so I did not use. This is a small hotel with a very small lobby area. Elevators can be slow and crowded. Complimentary coffee in the morning but it can be very crowded, make sure to be there right at 7a or a little before. Overall a nice stay but not sure I would stay here again.

Yelp
Very accommodating and tranquil hotel. Staff is very assisting and helpful. Peaceful and quiet in Mid-Miami Beach in a very nice, relaxing neighborhood. Not lively as South Beach and I appreciate that. The only critique(s) is that the pool in slight need of a cleanse and complimentary coffee is from 7-8a, sharp! Very nice housekeeping and water is avail in the lobby and if there aren't any avail, simply ask and you shall receive! Definitely recommended! Kudos and shoutout to Mauro, Diana, and Ana!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! We booked directly through Airbnb. Easy check in, had some requests when we arrived and they accommodated us no problem. It's right next to the beach, has a tavern restaurant + full bar. Free water with cucumbers in the lobby, and staff are really sweet + greet you when they see you. The restaurant manager was also always present and wiling to offer his service if we needed anything. It was great! The hotel offers Happy Hour to guests but my husband said it wasn't the greatest drink so rather buy yourself one. Maybe they could offer some different drinks, or more flavor options! Beach towels are available upon request at the hotel. You can walk right over to the beach path that will bring you towards south beach (45min south walking) or the opposite way north Miami Beach. Either way is a beautiful walk or if you prefer to go for a bike ride, you can rent an electric bike right across the street from the hotel. We loved how we could walk to the beach and right back to our hotel afterwards. It's way better than driving or hoping in an Uber after a beach day. The hotel room includes a fridge with lots of beverages and on the counter were plenty of snacks (additional charges will apply though). But it's worth it if your having some late night cravings. Speaking of cravings this hotel is door dash friendly. I could easily door dash everything to my hotel room. I just had to open the door and walaaaa.. my stuff was there CVS is a short walk away if you need any anything. The pool looked really nice but I wanted to sit by the ocean instead so I didn't end up going into the pool. Also, I wasn't sure if the pool would be warm or not. I like my privacy and during the day, lots of people hang by the pool and id rather have my own space at the beach. The hotel was clean. It's definitely an older building but they take pretty good care of it! iHome available in each room so you can charge your phone and listen to music. Thought that was a nice touch! Elevators are quick unlike some other airbnbs we've stayed at in miami that take forever to pick you up. If you want to avoid the elevators, they also have stairs you can use. I felt really comfortable at this hotel! Saw families, couples, young adults, seniors, this hotel welcomes everyone. & the prices here for rooms are fantastic! We will definitely be back thank you so much.

Yelp
Location Location Location!! This hotel is nestled in a great spot if you love being right by the ocean but hate paying wayyyy too much for it. There is no parking, but there's a structure called garage 6 just 5 minutes away. Nice walk anyway! Carlos went above and beyond to make our stay special! Our room was super clean, and it had been beautifully decorated to celebrate 2 birthdays. We received a complimentary bottle of champagne too, and we were kindly allowed to check out late. The entire staff was just lovely and pleasant % recommended

Yelp
My boyfriend and me stayed here at the beginning of September. We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. It's two blocks from the beach (pretty convenient), it has a restaurant The Tavern where you can get free drinks during happy hour (the bartender Johnny was great). We also had breakfast and dinner - food and service were great! As a huge favor, they let us check in early (@7:30am) and also allowed us to check out late due to our late flight (@6pm)... Of course it depends on availability of rooms, but also on their willingness to help and they helped us a lot. Also, the manager Carlos upgraded our room because the AC wasn't working properly where we were. We ended up on a PH... That's was beautiful, great view. Overall, this was an amazing place to stay, people were friendly and we had fun!!!

Yelp
Carlos Lozano was very accommodating and kind. Thank you to him and all of his staff for setting us up with a clean and spacious room.

Yelp
Coming back from a wonderful girls birthday trip and once again Hotel Croydon did not disappoint. There were 8 of us and they made sure we were taken care of from ensuring most of our rooms were on the same floor, complimentary champagne and staying on top of our every need. They consistently greeted us and made us feel welcomed. Luis, the manager on duty was awesome! If you're looking for a gem, cozy and quaint with a great location, Hotel Croydon is the place to stay. Oh and their rooftop is the best!

Yelp
This HOTEL STOLE MY DEPOSIT and management refused to return my phone calls. Please RUN - there are so many other places that have integrity. I am a travel writer and I'm shocked how they treat people. I hope I saved you the aggregation.

Yelp
Amazing stay and customer service. I came in really late with an emergency need for a room as my Airbnb had an issue. They were very accommodating and Sophia did an amazing job getting me checked in at a weird hour. Nice room, very clean and well air conditioned. Also nice restaurant and bar feet away from the room.

Yelp
This hotel is disgusting!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Trust me it's pretty bad. I have no idea WHY HotelTonight is supporting this rat trap?! So disappointed with them for even offering this place. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel, and I have been all over the world. There is no parking anywhere. I really don't know where to begin because there were so many problems. The ONLY saving grace is that the staff are friendly, minus the General Manager Luis. That guy is one of the nastiest people I have been meet in the hospitality industry. He keep giving me dirty looks after HotelTonight contacted them about all the problems... way to deal with your issues in a professional manner ‍ The room, the restaurant, literally every inch of the hotel was disgusting; filthy, in desperate need of renovating, basically falling apart. See photos for yourself. They only clean the rooms every three days, they do NOT have minibars (false advertising), the TV was so old it had burn marks all over it (look like someone left a game of Tetris stuck on it for a year), and had like 10 channels (hope you like QVC ), the bathrooms were so gross, lol felt dirtier after I came out The restaurant smells like the back of a Hooters, it was foul. The staff has no idea what they are doing. Every single time I was at the bar they were putting away dishes and completely ignoring the customers, that's what a bar back is for (I put myself through college bartending). It's completely disorganized, no one to seat you, I have no idea who had what job?? They have ONE elevator (that I could find) and I thought I was going to get stuck in it every single time I got in LOL There was water dripping from the ceiling vents onto the hard floors in the hallways, surprised no one has broken their neck. They say a pictures worth a 1000 words, well I took enough to write a novel. Just see for yourself.

Yelp
The hotel itself was laid back, and in a great area. It had great vibes and a nice staff plus great views on the rooftop. The only and most annoying thing was that the bed frame was PEELING, but peeling bad. We had white stuff on our hair and just all over and it took a bit to realize where all the white stuff was coming from. When we looked closely at our sheets and pillows they were covered in soooo much of the peel. We had to dust everything off to get all the bits of white stuff and used a blanket we found in the closet to cover the whole bed frame so that we could sleep.

Yelp
This is a funny one. There is nothing wrong with this hotel. It was a good stay. That being said, it is a 2/3 star hotel, not 4 star. The not great: * The pool and rooms are not very clean. AT ALL! The good: * The staff is VERY friendly and kind, I don't know why they have negative feedback in other reviews. * I DID overhear guests having some issues with hidden fees, or they booked a larger room than they were appointed, but it sounds like the staff try to care of the issue fast. The neighborhood, I would never stay there again. There are essentially NO restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurant is fine but overpriced. If you want less foot traffic, come here instead of south beach. But if you want to be part of the hustle n bustle, go to South Beach, the hotels are the same price but it is more fun and more to do.
google avatar

Cory J.

Yelp
The hotel room itself is not too practical and kinda dated. There's no USB jacks, no desk, no tissue, and only one trash can in the bathroom. The sound proof is bad that you can hear anyone walking outside the hallway. And the cleaning ladies constantly chitchatting very loud in the hallway as well. There is only one elevator for all floors which means the wait time is quite long. The only good thing is that their restaurant at the lobby serves pretty decent food.

Yelp
After our flight out of Miami was canceled, we stayed the night at the Hotel Croydon. It was a great spot! Quiet neighborhood, great charm, beautiful rooms, perfect swimming pool and nice hotel restaurant. The staff, manager Carlos and Sofia who helped us checked in were FANTASTIC! Especially after a stressful day at the airport and our flight being canceled due to mechanical issues. It was a nightmare at the airport with United Airlines but thankfully the staff at Hotel Croydon helped us relax a bit. It's a beautiful hotel off the loud and wild path. It's decorated beautifully as well! Enjoy it! Especially if you want a beautiful place that's one block from the ocean and in a quiet neighborhood.

M N.

Yelp
A hidden gem in mid-beach area, with very comfortable, quiet rooms (bedding, mattress top and pillows were great - slept soundly!), very polite and helpful staff, restaurant onsite, nice pool area, rooftop deck, yoga room and within 2 minute walk to beach. Coffee places nearby and a reasonable walk to a range of restaurants. Happy hour was a plus. Staff were all super-friendly. There's beach towels for the beach, but you do have to rent chairs from the place there. Definitely still worth the good value of this place. Recommend!

Yelp
The best part about my stay here is that it was right across the street from the beach. They gave you complimentary towels for the beach. They also had complimentary drinks for happy hour daily (gin or vodka) between 5-6. The rooms were a little small but clean. They do not do daily cleaning services, you have to request cleaning service and new towels. The afternoon staff were awesome...from the front desk to the bar! I enjoyed seeing and talking with them every afternoon I was there!

Roberto B.

Yelp
Great stay! Front desk + Meurian was very accommodating and helped with speedy check in. Thanks!

Yelp
I legitimately have no idea why so many are leaving porous reviews. Everyone's tastes, opinions, and thoughts are of course subjective and of their own, but I think they're being unjustifiably harsh. For the most part, this is a no frills hotel. But, you should be aware of that going in, considering the price point. This is one of the better deals you're going to find in the area, so keep that in mind. The rooms were clean, large enough, all of the staff was very friendly, and accommodating. They provide beach towels, they have an outdoor pool, a very nice rooftop deck with fantastic views, are close to the beach, and have a very popular restaurant called The Tavern attached. This restaurant is open very late, and has happy hour, which includes free drinks for people staying at the hotel every day from 5-7 PM. For the price point, especially for this location, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
A few weeks before my wife and I were booked to stay here, her teenage brother passed away in a car accident. Due to this unforeseen tragedy, we had to cancel our travel plans. After jumping through several customer service hoops, I was finally able to speak to a person on the phone. I explained the situation and asked to cancel our booking. I was put on hold several times for several minutes before the agent obliged and canceled our reservation. At no point during this conversation did the representative discuss the room rate, mention whether the booking was refundable, or confirm with me that I wanted to cancel my reservation. So after it was canceled I was informed that I would not be receiving any refund for the booking. Obviously disappointed, I asked to speak with someone to rectify this. I was told to call the hotel's front desk. I did and they, unsurprisingly, could do nothing about it. I was then given the email address of the hotel manager. I reached out about my situation and was given the robotic response of "unfortunately your booking was non-refundable." So that's it. To be clear we're talking a total amount of less than $500. And still this company quickly and easily went with greed over compassion, and furthered the strife of a grieving couple. Hotel Croydon is owned and operated by South Beach Group Hotels, who run several hotels in the Miami Beach area (a full list may be found here: www.southbeachgroup.com). I am sure there are several fine people that work for this company, and that many have had great experiences staying at one of their hotels, but I cannot recommend supporting a company that opts for soulless money-grubbing over showing even a small shred of empathy. And I reckon that a company that displays such heartless avarice in a situation such as this likely does so in other areas of its operation.

Yelp
I've stayed at the Hotel Croydon twice now, and I don't really understand the level of hate it's getting on here. I thought it was amazing for the price relative to other places in the area. I did choose it both times based on price, and I had extremely low expectations. The first time, it was the cheapest thing that allowed me to use my credit card points. OK, that's not entirely true. I had booked their sister property, and when I arrived, they said the A/C was broken and they were sending away every single person, redirecting them to Hotel Croydon a couple of miles away. They offered no transportation between the two or even directions. It's actually quite easy to travel by bus, but I'd just arrived there and didn't know. So I'd arrived with very low expectations and in a terrible mood, but Hotel Croydon really blew me away. It was good enough that when I saw it available as the cheapest option on my next trip, I was excited to stay there again. The positives: + Great bed and pillows + Great shower + Big rooms, tastefully decorated. + Very nice staff + Amazing rooftop deck with panoramic beach views (however, there was blaring club music at all hours, which was annoying when I went to do my morning yoga up there.) + Generous with beach towels + Great location at mid-beach, so it's close enough to everything, but not right in COVID central. Very easy beach access across the street. The negatives: - 11 a.m. checkout, and very stingy with late checkout requests - NO LUGGAGE STORAGE. This is really unacceptable for this area. It would have been great to get in a last trip to the beach before a late flight, but there is nowhere to keep luggage - They don't clean the room during your stay - No coffee, tea, kettle, microwave, etc. - Can't open the windows - The rooms I had both times had no view, just the wall of the next building. I feel like I had a better stay the second time around, since I was more mentally prepared for the annoyances, and I'd absolutely stay there again. Despite the relatively low price, this truly felt like a boutique hotel, not a budget hotel.

Yelp
Upon checking in for our anniversary weekend we were immediately asked to leave positive reviews from the front desk. "If one of you can do yelp and the other do tripadvisor."In hindsight, a red flag. We stayed 3 nights and every night there was an issue, each worse than the night before. First our gross musty room was 80 degrees and we were unable to control the temp so we had to call the desk in the middle of the night and have them lower it, which they did by WAY too much so much that it was freezing. Also, don't be fooled this is NOT a 4 star hotel. Otherwise there would be no signs on the walls to not "get blood or makeup on the towels" to avoid a charge. Trashy. The next night we were woken up in the middle of the night at 3:30 am from the party across the hall we could hear through the paper thin walls. We were exhausted from being up all night and had to go to sleep early that next day only to be woken up BY A DRUNK PERSON BREAKING INTO OUR ROOM AT 4AM. They used THEIR KEY and opened our door and scared the shit out of us so much that we were up unable to sleep for hours.... AGAIN. We are so sleep deprived from what should have been a relaxing weekend. They're also gaslighting us by saying we never spoke with someone at the front desk even though I gave screenshots of my call logs showing I talked with staff every night in the middle of the night for each issue. Patrick Mahoney the manager was apologetic as we checked out early the next morning, absolutely. traumatized from the threat of a potential attack or assault, but only to get rid of us. As the conversation continued over email for a potential refund we have finally heard back from him that after a "door audit" they've decided to gaslight us into thinking we didn't close our door?? We literally heard a drunk person banging on our door, then using their key to open it, but go off, Patrick. Continue to gaslight women. This place is not safe at all.. My partner is a rape survivor and went into a full blown panic attack after the room break-in. Absolutely abhorrent "hospitality" and zero customer service. The worst hotel experience I've ever experienced.

Yelp
We stayed for one night (our flight was cancelled) and I would never return or recommend this hotel to anyone. Advertising this hotel as luxury is a complete and total lie. Luxury hotels do not have multiple signs to guests about blood and makeup on towels. Never in my life have I seen this anywhere and I've traveled all over the world and stayed at the most luxurious hotels and hostels when younger. NEVER. Not to mention gross (makes me wonder what the hell kind of shit goes on there) but also discriminatory.  The hotel was chaotic, dirty and unsafe and I'm appalled to have spent any money staying in this dump.

Hillary W.

Yelp
The hotel itself is quite cute, and the rooms are very nice (though they don't have coffee makers). The bed was insanely comfortable, and it's in super quick walking distance to the beach. The reason for the lower review was the service upon arriving. The lobby was empty except for a young woman working check-in. She did not greet me and barely responded when I said, "hi! how are you doing today?" I had pre-paid for the room with my company's corporate card but did not have it physically with me. There was a $28 balance on the room, and the hotel needed a card for a $100 incidental hold. The woman at the desk gladly accepted my credit card for the $28 balance, but when she asked for a card for incidentals, she noted that she needs to original credit card. I had all of the details, but she immediately called her manager. He asked me what was going on, and I explained the situation. He was extremely dismissive and rude to me. I called corporate to inform them of the situation and see what could be done. They offered to process a credit card authorization form for me, but the manager refused to accept that. He kept noting that because I booked a non-refundable rate, he was unable to do anything.....other than cancel the reservation and charge a whole new card. Doesn't seem to make sense to say something is non-refundable and then refund it. I of course understand there are policies in place, but where I was most upset was by the attitude I received from both the manager and his staff. He was extremely rude to me, was not flexible in offering solutions, and even at one point rather aggressively said, "what?!" to me as I approached the desk to pay with my personal card. I'm not a person who complains or has a bad attitude, but my very first interaction upon arriving at the hotel soured most of the morning. I have no plans to return and wouldn't recommend this as place for any of my colleagues to stay.

Yelp
Someone literally broke into our room at 4:30 am. The person who entered our room did so with a key. Croydon's door and locks don't work and I know that because I've just read at least 3 other reviews mentioning door/lock issues. They are gaslighting us by saying we never closed our door in the first place before we went to bed?? Please. These rooms are so small you can tell whats going on with the door just a few feet away. After having a panic attack because I thought I was about to be assaulted I immediately called the from desk and they said "its out of our hands." Croydon, again gaslighting us is saying we never spoke with staff even though we have and sent the proof of our call logs. Around 9 am we spoke to the manager who said he was so sorry and that we would be given some kind of refund for the traumatizing experience. We have reached out many times and they are now ignoring our requests for their lawyer's information. Never have I witnessed such terrible "customer service" and lack of hospitality. Literally that's your only job. South Beach Hotel group at large is run by crooks. DO NOT BOOK if you like sleep, safety, and clean rooms.

Yelp
So excited for this stay and Meurian was the best to get us in our room early and get the party started. Everyone here is super friendly and I will Be coming back!

Yelp
My experience at this hotel started with a big happy smile from Joseph, he helped us with parking information, activities information and his amazing personality really lights up the place and brightens anybodies day! The room was really nice, clean and comfortable, cleaning crew unbelievable. Luis fun and helpful too. I definitely would highly recommend Hotel Croydon, just crossing the street to get to the ocean and have a wonderful run at the beach plus swimming in the Atlantic. I enjoyed the installations very much, unique environment, relaxation 100% and the pool experience was the cherry on top. As idealized i didnt have any towels and looked at the glass door going to the lobby, there was Joseph bringing a pair for us, smiling and saying he noticed we didn't have any and they could be good to have. Incredibly kind, thoughful and 3 steps ahead of guests needs.

Yelp
Very horrible experience! I have a very bad experience staying in this hotel. I stayed there for one night and there is no hot water for the whole night. I only found it out when I got into the cold shower. As a result, I caught a cold. When I checked in, they did not inform me of such info and ask whether I want to continue. What's more, in my room, there is occassional big noises in the room. The noise is so big that wake you up from sleep. It is really scary and I thought whether it is ghost something. I stay in a hotel for 2 things: a good shower and a good sleep. I have neither in this hotel. I have requested the hotel for a compensation (removing 50% from my bill) for the whole horrible experience. They told me they will give me an answer. It has been 6 days and there is still NO reply. I will never recommend this hotel.

I was greeted by Roberto who is a pro! He made sure I was comfortable. Saved me some money by recommending a cheaper parking option, and even followed up later to make sure I was ok. Definitely, a 5 star service. Bravo!

Yelp
Nice clean room. Shower had hair in it. No facial tissue in the room at all and when we asked we were told the hotel doesn't provide it. WTF? Asked Tavern bartender to make me a drink. He claimed he didn't have the liquor. So I asked for a different one. Then I saw and pointed the liquor out to him on the shelf behind the bar. I had to shout. He was surprised. Know your bar, dude. To his credit, he made the original order and didn't charge me for the alternate drink. The bar brought in a Latin Kenny G style act at 6pm that made it impossible to talk in the bar. The restaurant gets consistently mediocre reviews. The management just seems clueless; it would be easy and cheap to fix these types of things. Not impressed.

Yelp
***VIOLATION OF WOMEN"S RIGHTS!!****** I would like to give this more than 2 stars but am unable to due to the fact that this hotel charges you (WOMEN) for soiled towels and wash cloths. My monthly cycle happen to be the same weekend I was on vacation and I soiled the sheets. The hotel staff (Carlos) stated that I would be charged and that I could talked the GM if I wanted to the following day. This ruined my entire experience due to the fact I had to tip toe around the hotel so as to not ruined their linen and towels. Hotel restaurant: The hotel restaurant made us wait before they greeted us for about 35 minutes and then it took another 1hr. and fifteen minutes to get our breakfast. It was very loud people were screaming on the upper levels.

Yelp
What a delightful boutique hotel. The rooms were very comfy and extremely clean. The minibar options were plentiful and not the typical price gouging. One block from a beautiful beach, and the restaurant inside is terrific with reasonably priced drinks. Would absolutely stay there again.

Yelp
Another overpriced collins st hotel. No one is ever at the front desk if you need help. Place needs to be DEEP cleaned. Also a little far from ocean drive. Roaches crawling on walls. Not impressed. Won't be staying again.

Yelp
The pool is breaking my heart. I was so looking forward to having a decent pool and was foolishly excited that it was empty thinking that I'll be able to swim laps. However when I got to the pool there was a ton of dead bees in there. I do appreciate that they cleaned it up fast, (which is why I didn't give 2 stars) it still wasn't that clean. They were either bugs remaining or new ones. At the very least it's not at a very good location. However the water was like a bath. Maybe it's because it was 68 degrees today.. the rooms are very small. I'm here alone so it's fine. But it's smaller than it looks on the photos. You can sit 2 places in my room. On the bed or on the toilet. There is no coffee machine. The lobby is eclectic and cool. Very small but I expected that. I like the way the tavern looks. It really is the highlight of the hotel as far as asthetics go. The beach amenities - you can pick up chairs like the equivalent of 3-4 blocks away from the hotel. The beach is like 4 min away. Then you have to trek a bit to get low quality chairs. Oh well.

Yelp
Stayed in this hotel for two nights before going on a cruise. It's right across the street from the beach which is great but is about a 20-25 minute walk to South Beach/Ocean Drive area. The hotel is really nice, love the bathrooms! Giving this 4 stars because the hotel charges damages for any makeup stains, oil, or blood on hotel linen. While the makeup stains I can understand, I think blood is being a little inconsiderate towards women and how much control they have over their natural cycles. This also counts for their white towels so putting a towel on the bed would not help. They do have black towels specifically for makeup removal but they're so small laying it on the bed wouldn't do any good. So ladies if you plan on staying here, be prepared! Shoutout to Ana, Sarai, Meurian, and Jorge for a nice and easy check-in experience.

Yelp
Nice boutique Hotel on South Beach. Found through booking.com for a good rate during jazz in the gardens and Calle Ocho weekend in Miami. The resort has rooftop with sun-beds , a main pool in the lobby area and a really dope restaurant called the Tavern attached that's very popular with tourist. My room was on the smaller side, hence the word "boutique" but it was fully updated, clean and modern. Fitness room had a good amount of free weights and cardio equipment. The hotel is in a quieter area away from the craziness of S Collins Ave/Washington Ave/Ocean Dr area. The best aspect of my stay was being right next to the beach. The ocean breeze blew strong day and night and made for an easy walk to relaxation. I definitely recommend staying here with your boo and a close friend or two. It might not be hip enough for a large group or family friend enough for little children. Enjoyed my stay, and would recommend as a cherry pop hotel for those first time to Miami! 4 STARS

Yelp
I recently had a vacation planned to go to all 3 national parks in Miami and key west. Hurricane Ian category 4 hurricane changed our plans. The national parks canceled our trip to Dry Tortuga so we called our bookings for the trip to cancel. HOTEL Croyden refused to give us a refund only partial bc they did not consider a cat 4 hurricane extenuating circumstances. I called multiple times with no answer and then recieved a rude email on air bnb explaining that they were not giving it me. All of our other reservations gave us a full refund bc of the storm but Hotel Croyden. I'd I could give them a 0 for customer service but that isn't an option.

Yelp
Hotel Croydon is the best place to stay in Miami Beach if you want best value for your money. The manager Patrick and his top deputy Luis took care me of us from the moment we arrived to our departure. After this my third stay, I plan on being Hotel Croydon's most loyal guest and most vociferous ambassador everywhere I go.

Yelp
Don't do it... stay somewhere else. What a scam! First we were given an accessible room. We immediately asked to be moved because there was nowhere to put anything due to the extra space made for a wheelchair I guess and I didn't book an accessible room. We were told we had to wait until 9 am because housekeeping was "gone (it was 3 PM).The nice front desk lady did get us moved the next day after some begging. We noticed there was a big list of rules when we checked in too... we are a 53 year old couple, not exactly the type you would have to tell "no parties " in the room to.Its a little insulting. On this sheet it also said NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING. WTF.. even Disney gives an option of $5 bucks back a day if you decline housekeeping . We stayed 4 nights and got our room cleaned once on the third day. If you want towels, you have to ask for them. If I wanted to stay at an Airbnb, I would have. Let me go on.... there is no coffee maker. I have stayed in everything from a Holiday Inn to the Xcaret resort in Mexico and THEY ALL HAD A COFFEE MAKER. The front desk told us that we could get coffee at the bar. So we thought, ok a little inconvenient but at least its free.. OH NO IT ISN'T!!!! ... we were charged for it. Wait there is more!!!! You will be charged a $28 "resort fee"... for beach towels (they were only available one day), their "complementary" happy hour (which we were told was covered by the amenity fee so in essence so not complimentary) and the pool... really? There are maybe 25 seats... there was never any room. As mentioned in another review, you must place a damages deposit if you get "gasp" make up on their towels!!!!! Please . You run a hotel. I get a room being rock star trashed but a towel with mascara on it is a "damage charge"? I should have charged them for the anti-amenities... every ice machine was broken, there was no room to use the pool and they were short beach towels The location is fine, the restaurant is slow and understaffed. I chose this hotel because it was a 4 star. Come in now... its a gussied up Motel 6 that charges at every turn.

Yelp
This hotel was PERFECT for a girls trip to Miami. The location is awesome because not only can you walk to Miami beach in literally 2 minutes, but there are tons of restaurants around and 24 hour stores like Walgreens and CVS. If you want to do a long walk you can reach Ocean Drive in around 45 minutes which we did twice. The food at the tavern is awesome (thank you Princess and Randall) and there is even a free happy hour for hotel guests every day from 6 to 7 PM. There is a great terrace upstairs and a large outdoor pool on the lower level and the entire place is uniquely decorated! The beds are sooooo comfortable and the shower got boiling hot. The only negative I can mention is that the walls are thin. For example, if a dog is barking on the street, you will hear it. I could also hear the text tones of the room next to us loud and clear. I can sleep through any noise so this did not bother me, but you might need ear plugs if you're sensitive to noise! Elijah, Luis Miguel and Michael at the front desk made everything extra perfect by always answering our questions and giving us good suggestions on where to go and what to do. Hotel Croydon, let's be real, do you only hire male models? Because it sure seems like it. No complaints here (; Thank you for a perfect Miami Beach stay!

Yelp
This place is great! Less hectic than South Beach with a bit more refined tastes. The hotel had classic elegant design and a slightly bit darker setting to help cool off. The pool is comfortable and has a good layup with a lot of potential. Front desk help are amazing! From first checking in with Alamo (sorry bud, I think I messed up your name) and especially LUIS! This guy.... Luis actually helped organize some activities such as salsa lesions, finding bike rentals, suggestions on activities, AND let a stranger borrow his cell phone charger... as well as being a good listener. This is what makes a Crydon 4 stars! The people! Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars... there has to be room for improvement and I think the pool could be elevated pretty easy. hook up the funky music for the pool area and maybe add a "detox" event Sunday brunch with a Mimosa special? Overall, love it! Warm and inviting all around. Love the staff!

Yelp
This would be a decent hostel, but definitely not a hotel. It's not worth the money they're charging. Homeless people bathing & shaving in the pool, no service on their otherwise great rooftop and pool deck. If you order food from the tavern restaurant now, you might get it by next week. The place needs new management in both the hotel as well as the restaurant.

Yelp
I don't know how this hotel has so many negative reviews. I just stayed here for 6 nights and this cute little boutique hotel was the highlight of our trip. The price per night was very fair considering this property is a block from the beach and very close to south beach. Staff were extremely friendly and seemed eager to make guests happy, clean atmosphere, quiet/comfy room, and positive vibes all around. My only negative would have to be the lack of housekeeping (only offered every 3rd day of your stay and you need to ask the front desk for it), the "minibar" was just a small empty fridge in the room, and we were not offered any kind of airport shuttle despite what their website states. Our room (610) was 2 doors down from the elevator but we did not have any noise complaints. We also had a view of the ocean from our room despite being a block away which was awesome! If you're looking for a quaint boutique hotel in mid-beach, I highly recommend this hotel. I personally am happy I chose not to stay in south beach as we found it to be way too chaotic and noisy there. This hotel was clean, quiet, and relaxing. I would return if I ever come back to Miami Beach. Note: even though they advertise on their website that they will not hold your luggage, they graciously did so for us and informed us that they will as long as they have the room to do so, so make sure you get up early on your last day to ensure you can take advantage of that.

Yelp
The hotel is nice but the parking is terrible. They really don't give very many recommendations nor did they told us ahead of time that they only have valet parking. We couldn't find the valet parking and had to call to see where it was located at the hotel. We just pulled up to the door on the street and they parked our car somewhere. Where I don't know because there is definitely no street parking. (Extremely limited street parking) And the valet parking is expensive; costing $45. The service is a little slow but they are friendly. There is a restaurant located in the building. The rooftop is definitely the nicest part about this hotel and the location being that is directly across the street from the beach. The pool is located on the ground floor and is a decent size. The rooms are on the small side, kind of remind me of New York but it is cozy and nice. The bathroom is much nicer than I expected. I was very impressed. We probably won't return but I would recommend if you are looking to stay in the area at a good price. Just be mindful of the parking. S/N Stunning views from the rooftop.

Yelp
Super Cute boutique hotel in South Beach! We got a really great price from Priceline. They have a nice pool on the first floor, an amazing view from the rooftop, great restaurant (called the Tavern) for breakfast and a coffee bar as well. Our room had a nice view of the beach, which was really nice to wake up to. Can't wait to make another trip to Miami - I'll be staying here again
