Decent hotel, good food — but beware of rude staff! I recently stayed at this hotel and while the overall property was good — clean rooms, tasty food, and a convenient location near the railway station — my experience was completely ruined by the behaviour of one of the day staff members. A particular lady at the front desk was extremely rude and resentful throughout my stay. Basic courtesies and politeness were missing. Even simple things like asking for a cup or were met with sarcastic comments and visible resentment. We were taken aback with the treatment. It felt like guests were an inconvenience to her. It’s really disappointing because the hotel itself is nice and the rest of the team seemed decent, but one unpleasant person can ruin the vibe of an entire stay. This hotel is expensive, also charges deposit money as a bomb, we expected basic courtesy. A hotel’s biggest asset is its staff — no matter how good the food or location is, disrespectful behaviour kills the experience. Good food and location can’t make up for unprofessional behaviour. I hope they fix this soon — otherwise, it’s just not worth the money or the stress. Management seriously needs to train their staff in hospitality basics. Think twice before booking — you deserve better service for what you pay!

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Yes it it is a more budget offering than we are used to (because hotels are so expensive in Switzerland) but it was very pleasant. Clean and very large rooms, clean towels and bedding, excellent hospitality, tasty and fresh breakfast. We would stay here again if visiting Interlaken.

Hotel Crystal is a great little place to stay. Location is centrally located and easy to get into and out of if using a car. Rooms were quiet and easy to move around in. If you do go, it is a 15 minute walk to a great fondue place (Fondue Villa and Garden) that we happened to find and were happy it was so close!

Great hotel handy to train station. Staff very helpful. Good sized room easy check in. Well maintained property. Plan to return soon.

From the moment we arrived, the staff at Hotel Crystal made us feel incredibly welcome. The hotel is clean, secure, and perfectly located for exploring the beautiful mountain surroundings. Our room was spotless, and we felt completely at ease during our entire stay. The real highlight, however, was the breakfast experience! The spread was absolutely fantastic—fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start your day with a positive mindset before heading out on your mountain adventures. The breakfast staff were especially warm and attentive, making each morning feel extra special. Highly recommend Hotel Crystal for anyone visiting Interlaken. We’ll definitely be back!

The Hotel Crystal in Interlaken was a hidden gem that rose much higher than 3.9 on reviews. It is a short walk from the West Train Station. Staff was very courteous and helpful, room and facilities were very clean, and breakfast was great. We had a balcony room with a tremendous view of the mountains and the rooftop terrace offered fantastic views. Overall the experience was 5 star and we will definitely be back.

Pleasant stay. Accommodation was basic - expected for a 3*. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Especially the server for making me great cappuccinos every morning! Breakfast was ok. Not far from the main shopping street and next to a huge Migros which was handy. The only downsides were the room was very hot at night and noise travelled easily through the walls. I'd recommend as a budget option.

Great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large clean rooms with very comfortable blankets and pillows. Easy walking distance from Interlaken West train station. They allowed us to keepnluggage there as arrived early, which is so nice. The breakfast staff are the sweetest! The breakfast is amazing and fills you up for the day! With everything so expensive, it is nice to have such a great way to start the day! The cappuccino was amazing!!
