Hôtel Crystal

While the location is very good and the breakfast is solid, there is little else to recommend this hotel. It does not have air conditioning nor ceiling fans. It was around 38C when I stayed earlier this month and getting a small portable fan took many repeated requests at the front desk. While the hotel's website suggests that rooms have been renovated mine (38) was not. It also looked into the air shaft so I had no view whatsoever. A local bar or business played music well after 11pm every evening, so it meant windows open and music, or windows closed and no air circulation. This wasn't the hotel's fault, but it didn't make my stay very pleasant. The hotel decor is a mix of historic Olympic posters (interesting) and Warhol and Lichtenstein knock offs (tacky). I'm not sure I'll be in Lausanne again, but if I am I won't be staying here.

Center of Lausanne, easy to reach with the Metro. A few minutes away from the restaurant "100 Suisse". Breakfast buffet on the 5th floor, with great views over the rooftops.

They provided a travel card for using in Lausanne. There is a cafe in which we can have coffee and tea until 08.00 pm. Place was safe and close to touristic places. I liked.

I’ve booked 2 rooms at the hotel by mistake and 3 hours later when I realized I text them explaining if at least they could refund 50% but they said no, for them was not possible. Even if I didn’t stay at the hotel the empathy and service I received was very bad.

Cheap but very nice hotel with an amazing view if you’re staying on the top floor.

Location just couldn't be better. And the amenities included - free public transport and daily Swiss breakfast - are incredibly helpful. The reception staff is also super warm and very helpful. They gave me a charging pin for Switzerland and kept my luggage for a few hours. They helped me enjoy my stay to the fullest.

The staff are friendly. The location was convenient for me as I don’t mind traveling a lot. It’s close to the both metro and bus stations.

The location was great. The room was very basic and the bathroom was very outdated. The breakfast was okay. Not a lot of choices but the apple juice was amazing. The receptionists were helpful. For the price it could have been better but everything is expensive is Switzerland.

Amazing hotel. The staff are so friendly, the food is wonderful, and the rooms are unique and comfortable. Highly recommend!

I had a lovely experience staying here. The woman at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming, and even let me check in 8 hours early! My room was very spacious and clean, and had a nice big bathtub. Bed was very comfortable as well. The location is excellent-steps from the best bars in Lausanne, the metro, cathedral, Le Metropole, shopping, grocery store, etc. Free breakfast included fresh squeezed orange juice, and a variety of nice fruits and breads. Excellent value, especially for Switzerland. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Lausanne.
