"A 26-room hotel in a pre-Cubist nineteenth-century building on the edge of the old town. The white-painted facade has cool glamour when the sun goes down. Inside, you get a Slavic take on mid-century Palm Springs style: gold-on-gold geometric wallpaper, plush carpets, wood-grained built-ins, and table lamps like pretty bouquets of wired silk cocoons. Spacious baths come with L’Occitane toiletries and separate tubs or showers."

Beautiful hotel, in the middle of the old town and close to the congress square. The staff is incredibly courteous and friendly, we felt more than welcome and enjoyed our time very much. The breakfast is à la carte and really delicious and recommendable. The double room is large and spacious, the beds are just the right firmness and the glass design of the bathroom makes the room seem even larger. Only the noise from the street was sometimes a little audible, but that didn't bother us much. We would come back anytime!

This is a great hotel in central Ljubljana. I stayed here for three nights and enjoyed in very much. The staff were great and very accommodating and all spoke excellent English. I took advantage of their valet parking which was a very good deal. Every morning I just told them I needed my car and within a couple of minutes, they would have it out ready for me. For only 10€ a night, that was a great deal. The hotel itself is very modern and has a great location - only a few minutes walk to the riverside action and Preseren Square. It was also easy to drive to from around the city. The rooms are generously sized and very clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend a stay here if visiting this city.

Fantastic, friendly, and very helpful staff who attended to all of our needs. You can’t beat a hotel that serves you a free drink while checking you in and helping you find fun things to do while in Ljubljana.||The room was gorgeous and comfortable! The bathtub and two shower attachments were awesome and appreciated. We like our room temperature cold, so it was nice that the HVAC was still set on AC. ||The location put us within walking distance of the river and a plethora of shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars. ||Spectacular evening views and no concern of the hotel being in a not so good neighborhood. We found the locals to be both friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome in their establishments and allowed us to strike up conversation.

Lovely boutique hotel with a big room and excellent service, located just outside the old town. Value for money. Highly recommended!

The hotel is centrally located and staff very helpful, especially Ivan, Nates, and Ursa. The went over and beyond their jobs to help, give suggestions, and make restaurant suggestions. Rooms very clean and adequate. Breakfast was terrific. Will stay here again!

The hotel is very convenient for the Old Town, Triple Bridge etc. Our room was large, modern and very clean. The staff were very friendly. The only let down was breakfast - it was a la carte with next to nothing available for self service. You couldn’t even help yourself to coffee or orange juice. For cereal there was only cornflakes. No other cereals, toast, yoghurt etc were available. The service was very slow, it was 20 minutes before our hot drinks and juice arrived and over half an hour for food. The food presentation was ridiculously over fussy - a la carte is not required for breakfast when people often have a fixed schedule (eg airport or day trip departure) and want to be able to self serve and go. If we’d had to leave at a specific time for a flight etc, we’d have had to walk out without any breakfast. It looked to be totally unsuitable for the families with young children we saw. It’s a pity as we’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years when breakfast was a mixture of self service and ordering and it was perfectly good as it was

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cubo, and I want to start by giving special thanks to the staff—they were incredibly polite, helpful, and always welcoming. A huge thank you to the reception team and the breakfast staff, who made my experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal! It’s cooked à la carte, and I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict with salmon and avocado—it’s to die for. They also have a small Swedish table with a selection of meats, cheeses, fruits, and pastries. The breakfast is amazing, though you should expect a bit of a wait since it’s freshly cooked, but it’s totally worth it. I stayed in a junior suite, and the room was spacious with both bath and shower options. They even left a thoughtful welcome gift—a small muffin with berries, which was a very nice touch. The location of the hotel is great, just a one-minute walk to the river and five minutes to the "Triple Bridge," which is the heart of the old town. One small inconvenience I encountered was with the "Do Not Disturb" feature. The room didn’t have a physical card, but rather a digital option on a screen, which displays near the door. I turned it on, but the cleaning staff still disturbed me, explaining that they don’t check the digital signs and rely on physical cards. They eventually gave me a card, but it was a bit misleading. Either the digital option should be disabled, or the cleaning staff should be trained to look for it as well. This was a minor issue, though, and didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment. Another highlight is the QR code system they use instead of traditional keys. It’s so convenient—you just need your phone, which we all carry anyway. The cocktails at the hotel bar were also very nice and fairly priced. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and big kudos to the amazing staff for making it such a pleasant experience!

We actually didn’t stay here, but when we had a miscommunication with our actual hotel and got stranded in the city, the reception staff at Hotel Cubo was kind enough to help us call our hotel and then arrange a taxi for us. While we were waiting for our taxi, I was able to watch the receptionist engage with the other guests with helpfulness, grace and humour. If that’s any indication of the service to be expected from the rest of the staff, I might have to stay here if I’m back in the city.
