Hotel Cubo

Realizing that Ljubljana was worth a second look, I looked no farther than Hotel Cubo to book my 3N stay. We've stayed here before, and we remember our stay as highly gratifying with its superb location, price, staffing, and breakfast. We arrived too early for check-in, so we had a light lunch near the river area, about 5 min away on foot.|The ala carte breakfast is worth mentioning. We ordered a different entree for each of the 3 breakfasts. The OJ is fresh. In addition, we ordered the cold cuts plate and the fresh fruit plate. All of it was so satisfying with attentive service. I had already had my morning coffee from Abineeth and Eamon, the night staff person. So nice to not have to search for 6 am coffee. There's no Starbucks here -- not even 7-ll.|The surrounding area is central and touristy. Three bridges and statue is 10 min away. The river itself is just beyond the hotel's property. A supermarket is directly across the street.|For a boutique hotel, Hotel Cubo checks all my boxes.

Our room was contemporary and spacious with nice furnishings. The toilet and shower were in separate corners of the room, each with its own sink. Be advised however that the shower was entirely walled by smoked or tinted glass. It looks contemporary when not in use, and we had amusing guidelines for when it was in use.||Staff at this boutique hotel are truly courteous and friendly. They were helpful with recommendations. They were lovely at breakfast and showed incredible memory for drink orders on subsequent mornings.||Regarding the included breakfast, it is not a buffet but à la carte. Some bread slices and mini croissants were brought to the table upon arrival, and we chose something off a menu for something substantial. This was a pleasant surprise and the offerings were delicious. I recommend the scrambled eggs with spinach and crispy crackling at least one of the mornings.||Finally, this hotel is located steps from a park and minutes from the pedestrian zone of Ljubljana. A welcome location close to the sights and shopping, yet just far enough away from any tower bells and busy late-night restaurants and bars. Also easily walkable to the train and bus stations.

Just returned from a fantastic three night stay. Our room was spacious with large bath/ shower, separate toilet, plenty of wardrobe space, free use of safe and the biggest perk a free minibar that was restocked daily! The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is Al a Carte with plenty of choice and you can have as many items as you can eat. Everything we had was delicious. Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to our friends.

Brilliant central hotel. The staff on reception could not have been more welcoming, and who doesn’t like a glass of champagne on arrival. Big, clean well appointed rooms, location makes it easy to explore the town. Would highly recommend

We enjoyed an excellent value for money stay. The staff were brilliant- nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast approach was novel but worked well (extensive choices cooked to order). And free mini bar included. The location was central too

What a great hotel, modern and perfectly situated to explore this fabulous city.||Our room was lovely, large with the comfiest bed, quality linens and perfect pillows. We had a large desk area, more than ample storage, a very generous sized bathroom, a free mini bar and smartphone that you could take out with you which enabled you to contact the hotel should you need to.||The breakfasts were amazing, so much choice and perfectly cooked, the Eggs Benedict and caprese omelette were delicious.||All the team were delightful, so very friendly and helpful, genuinely nothing was too much trouble.||We had a wonderful stay and can’t recommend this fabulous hotel highly enough

Perfect! The staff members were SUPER friendly. They went above and beyond to help with everything from parking our car to providing suggestions for our trip. The location is perfect and VERY quiet despite being steps away from the beautiful old town. Free breakfast is great. I highly recommend this place! Everybody was so nice!! Also, our room was huge.

Arrival was very warm, welcoming and helpful - car parking service, welcome-coffee and recommendations for the area (sightseeing, restaurants, etc.) were given without even asking - THANK YOU! ❤️🙏🏾 The room was tidy and clean, we took the junior suite so we also had plenty of space. The mattress was rather hard, shower leaking a bit but that did not make our stay less enjoyable ;)
